I set my new years resolution to get back into art (l'm still facing burn out from the GCSEs I swear) and though this would be a fun way to document my year! each doodle has something to do with my day :)

Ok. So yall remember that scene in pirates of the Caribbean where Barbossa's crew walked under water to sneak up on Norrington's men?

Ok that, but the DRENCHEN walking under the water around the castle of the crystal to sneak in via the water ways while the land gelf and gelf who can fly distract them? A solid military tactic for our aquatic friends!

And imagine Gurjin, having been in the castle, leading them. And the first thing he says to the very shocked Skeksis is:

"Payback time, Sog-for-Brains"

And the entire Drenchen clan just swarms in, bola and spears flying because they are PISSED about what these big beaked bitches did to their prince!!

Midnight Ramblins

I would like to think that some part of the Gelflings who got drained- that their souls actually remain in the crystal. I would also like to believe that Tolyn was the last of the castle guards to get drained. And thoroughly got his spirit ass beat by all the guards who were definitely aware that Tolyn was the traitor after the revolt ended.

Especially that pretty Vapran girl. Ngl she and he were probably a thing and I can't imagine the pain his betrayal must have caused her. Which only makes me hate that snitch even more. How are you really gonna let your girl get drained because you want a promotion?

Is a talented healer, but was raised as a warrior mostly. He’s a pacifist, or at least tries to be

He is the same height as Gurjin, but a few trine older. He’s stockier

Is often teased and called a soft-talker because of how quiet his voice is, but he’s more straight forward than even Laesid sometimes

Fell in love with Kylan the second he tried his broth

Their voices resonate so well!!

Will protect Tula with his life

Naia had a crush on him until she realized he always stared at Gurjin more than her

Is an okay swimmer, he likes to sit at the bottom of whatever water systems hes near to and just rest

Helped Gurjin with his injuries after the battle of Stone in the Wood

HEALED MAUDRA FARA because fuck her death I refuse to accept it

Hair is really curly when not dreaded

He knows how to sew, and is quite good at it

Grottan!

Maudra Argot’s chosen successor and raised by Argot from a baby.

Acts as a big sister figure to a lot of the younger Grot kids. Like Amri and Deet.

Was very sad and worried when Deet and Amri had to leave.

Led some of her clan members away during the Arathim attacks in Domrak and acts as a diplomat between their species after the dust settles.

Is colorblind (tritanopia), and it causes many fashion problems when she gets above ground. Someone, please, help her.

Shopaholic that will haggle vendors to the point of insanity.

Has a crush on Freckles

Has a fear of Nurlocs

Loves dancing more than anything. Convinces someone from every clan to teach her their dances and picks them up easily.

Can’t be a mom friend, because she’s easily roped into shenanigans.

Has many of the same mannerisms as Argot, so just let that sink in.

S A S S Y

Tries to flirt and fails miserably every time. She can dish it out, but if someone reciprocates the behavior she panics and shoots the finger guns at them before running away.

Honestly she’s an adorable mess.

I was watching the dark crystal age of resistance again… for the 8th time. God I love this series so much but uh… does anyone wanna be mutuals in the fandom? I’m obsessed with Kam’Lu, Mayrin, Jen and Kira (older versions), and SkekMal. :3

I’m not sorry but OH MY GOD I love the Hunter. I know SkekMal is a villain but GOD DAMN he is just so cool and badass. I think he was taken away too soon.
