*kicks his door open crying*
Can we build a self driving car.
Please.
I need. Distraction.
@dawnlighthours
Building a self-driving car isn't easy. It's not as simple as just slapping parts together, Ms. Aurora. Do you know anyone with programming knowledge? I know the basics of HTML, but that won't make our car know how to move.
First of all, before we start the programming, we need to build the car itself. Definitely include a system for the passengers to override the code if it fails at all or in an emergency. I also suggest trying to build an electric car for this. No reason, but it fits the high-tech theme with it being self-driving.
...
What do you need distracting from? And why are you crying?
Felt... okay, might delete later. We'll see.
What draws you to a person? Romantically or platonically or both, you pick.
Platonically, people with similar interests to me and commitment to their goals. Those with great imaginations who are also logical and methodical.
Romantically, I like snarky people. The kind who can come up with a good quip on the spot. People with good style, fashionable, but not too classy. Classic black trench coat, I suppose.
Mechs? Seriously? How could you waste all your time on something like that? Your sister would be so disappointed in you.
What the hell do you know? She'd be impressed. She always liked robots.
Besides, I don't spend all my time on them. I build medical equipment. There's only so much I can do with these resources.
You wake up tmr, and find out it was all a dream, all of petrification everyone you met etc etc, whats your reaction?
An unrealistic question. I know for certain that this isn't a dream, but I'll humour you.
I think I'd be mad. We've had the chance to reset everything, and rebuild the world to be better.
💚
My friends? I have them. Xeno and Stan of course, Ms. Aurora and Ms. Ellie, Wren. I would say Dr. Corvus is more of an acquaintance whom I find inexplicably attractive would like to know better.
As for my family? I haven't seen them since two years before the petrification. That's not your business.

What are small things that make you happy?
Seeing other people's ideas and helping to improve them, honestly. Some people are just terrible at writing out coherent plans. Fixing them brings me satisfaction.
Imagine not being able to keep your own family safe and alive
Wild.
...I beg your finest fucking pardon?
I never said anything about whether or not she's alive. Who are you to make assumptions like that?
have you any sibling(s)? are they still petrified? have you even found them?
I have a sister. She is 10, and no, she is not petrified.
...I have no idea where she is.
Greetings, doctor,
How is your hand doing? I just wanted to see if you wanted your yearly check up to see if it needs any fine tuning. I’m aware you are more than capable of keeping it clean and working, but I will also remind you that you swore you’d let me look at it at least once a year to make sure it is in top top shape.
Let me know if you aren’t too busy.
- @ask-dr-xeno
Ah, hello Dr. Xeno.
I suspect the basic prosthetic may need some maintenance and repair. Some parts are wearing down. I would be able to fix it myself, but I'd appreciate your help as a fresh set of eyes may pick up on issues I've grown used to.
I won't ask you to adjust any of the others, though. Since they're not standard, I can't expect you to understand exactly how they work. While I trust you completely, I would prefer to fix those myself.
@dawnlighthours, I have a question.
I'm busy with my own projects at the moment, but I wonder if you would be able to design a motor and steering system for devices such as mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs. The wheelchair steering would need to use a toggle.
Bringing back these types of equipment is, in my opinion, a priority. Sure, we have standard wheelchairs, but not everyone can self-propell in them, especially those who lost limbs due to the stone eroding and cracking. We need to give back freedom.
If it's possible to make these systems reasonably straightforward to make, please do. That way we can produce a large amount of them.
Heeeeey Doc
Totally random question for absolutely no reason whatsoever ahaha don't look too far into this-
Do, uh. You have any spare mechanical parts I can commandeer? Assuming I actually needed any which I definitely don't I swear I have everything I need down in my workshop and have no plans of raiding your space again any time soon-
(@dawnlighthours)
For goodness sake, if you're going to take things from my workshop, only take what I say you can, and come to get the key from me instead of trying to pick the lock.
There are some things that I don't plan to use soon. A few small motors, quite a bit of insulated wire, a 1L container filled with assorted scrap cogs and similar, and my screw jar. They're not sorted. They're free, so don't complain.
There is also a spare drill you're welcome to take. I don't care if you disassemble it.
Once again, do not pick the fucking lock. I do not want to replace it for the third time.
why pink hair? :3
It's my favourite colour, simple as that. I've been dyeing it since I was sixteen, which is roughly when I started getting invited to interschool science events and programs run by colleges. My parents realised at that point that a bright hair colour, attending "nerd conventions" as they called them, and weird clothes would not stop me from learning.
I apologise for the rambling, but just one sentence seemed too boring. Also, I haven't spoken to anyone in at least two days.
27 n 28 :)
What’s your favorite book? Or just one you’ve read a few times?
Wonder. It always resonated with me a bit, though I'm not sure why.
How are you, really?
Perfectly fine. I'm not discussing this with strangers. Therapy is useless for that very reason.
//ooc
He is lying. Baby boy you need Help posthaste. Get this man a hot cocoa and some blankets and a hug from a very close "friend".
highkey you are very cool.
Ah, thank you. I wouldn't agree - I've been told I'm not socially dynamic - but I'm glad you think so.
Howd you keep yourself awake for 3700 years? -V
The first few, I spent planning what to do if I woke up. A lot of the time I spent coming up with blueprints and ideas for new technology.
H. Hey. Guess. Guess what. Heh.
-🪽
.....What?
This ask feature is irritating.

//ooc he would never be this honest
What is a fear they never talk about?
He is terrified of dying alone. Sure, he's kind of an asshole to pretty much everyone, but he has people he trusts. People whose names he'd scream with his last breath if he lay dying in a forest somewhere. He's generally very anxious, but that scares him the most.
What is a secret they’ve sworn never to tell?
That he used to shoplift almost all of his food. Of course most people wouldn't care, he's just embarrassed that he had to (all his money went towards science projects).
Is there a pain they refuse to heal from?
Losing his hand. Though it didn't actually hurt, considering it just cracked off and wasn't severed, it still screws with him mentally. He feels like it should have hurt, that it's stupid and unfair that it didn't. That if it hurt him he'd have a reason to be so upset about losing it.
can you tell me what guns were used in literally ANY historical event mr gunslinger. i am curious ... and also a bit more curious to if you get it wrong
I'm never wrong.
The Australian Emu War (though I wouldn't call it a proper war) is a great example of the use of earlier machine guns, though they were invented in the 1880s and this took place in 1932. The gun in question was a Lewis Gun.
Also known as the Lewis automatic machine gun, or the Lewis automatic rifle, these guns weighed 13kg which is about the weight of a standard dog, I think. Approximately 1.27m with the barrel taking up just over half that length. Cartridges included diamiters ranging 54mm to 63mm, and lengths from 7.62cm to 7.92cm.
These absolute beauties can fire up to 600 rounds per minute, each travelling at roughly 2,670km/h. Wouldn't want to get caught up in that, huh? Their effective firing range is about 800m, although the maximum range is more like 3.2km.
I assume you don't care too much about the design details, but I'm always willing to explain!
