After a long what hears my final list on the staging changes/additions for my dear even hanson rewrite. this is the final bit if prewriten stuff I have for this rewrite I will still regularly be updating on changes and additions I crest for this project. Updates just wont be as bulky as thay have been. hope you all how are reading this injoy
Conner is always on stage when evan is whether it be in the background or right next to him depends on the scene
The only time conner ever communicates is when he's singing
As the story goes on evans wears more of conners style of clothes
Perhaps during a drug said clothing is removed by Conner being replaced by his normal attire as he kisses his forehead places the close in evans hands and calmly walks off stage finally moving on maybe leaves small jewelry piece, like BFF bracelet or necklace bc he'll always be part of himl
During the last song you will be found conner dose make an appearance but as he walks back onstage but he is now wearing pale white colors bathed in a gentle light for he is no longer a ghost haunting a past friend he is a guardian angel protecting the man he loves
Continuing on with the dear evan Hanson rewrite you can't have a musical with out songs and to fit this new version of dear even Hanson the songs ether needed to be edited added to or expanded upon. I also added a couple of new songs as a treat

Sincerely as a reprise at the start of the musical and near the end slowly shifting into a more somber tone each tine
Seeds of what will be (a song taking the place as the first song establishing evan and Conners relation ship showing them as young hopeful children exited to grow up and face the word together
Immediately after words any body have a map plays and establishes the boys current lives and the fact that are not longer friends
Ghost of a chance ( a duet between Conner and evan reflecting on there past together and what kinda of future thay cool have had together if that stuck together instead of separating and being stuck in this hell
Change "my sisters hot" to "l think your hot" in sincerely me
Add sad ghostly instrument motifs to songs fetchering conner
Add gently lively nature wind instruments motifs to evan
"If i could tell her" is changed to if "I could tell him" coiner sings a long with even bit then instead of describing zoe, coner and even shift into describing each other(or guilt for "killing" Connor and not being able to talk to anyone about it) or ( have have of i could tell her be from coiners perspective and he's using even as a way to express his live for his sister
((Note I have no idea what to do with his song I live it and want it to stay in the rewrite but its needs to some how change and i can't decide what thay change should be so feel free to give me your ideas in what u guys think works best))
Change requiem to be less about zoe being rude and actually give people development
At beginning lunch scene they sing sincerely me reprise of them writing the joke letter with end stanza of the real letter
During the drug scene a combo of sincerely me and ghost of a chance plays in while Evan and conner song out there feelings
(( note might just write an entirely new songs instead of just combining 2 reprise nut im lazy and don't want to think about how that all may fit together so give me your thoughts))
Ok so to start out his rewrite. Lets me start by list my currently planed story changes (note this arent final and is may add and or edit this changes feel free to give me your own ideas and comments on your own ideas
* Conner and even are childhood friends/ boyfriends
* No more love plot between evan and conners sister
* The charade is more of a collabe between conner and evan
* Even gets a lot more flack for the charade
* Evan blames himself a lot more for conners death
* Evan tries to help Conner by making an in depth feel good letter but accidentally gives him an insulting joke. Letters he made During lunch with some friends
* It is unclear in the scene set up if the letter is actually involved in the suicide and is an ongoing mystery in the show if conners death was evans letters fault or if hes death was unavailable
* Even ends up doing drugs
Near the end of the story ether right after or very close to before evan is revealed as a lie evan takes a massive dose were the talks with conners gost who gives him a pep talk through song.

Ok so I know dear evan Hanson has gotten a lot of new press recently due to the movie. Most of it not good. believe me I agree that the story is a total trash fire but bear with me the story and songs have potential.
I mean...
What if evan and conner were childhood friends?
What if conner had more Character than being a dead stoner?
What if conner actualy gave a dame about others feelings?
All these questions end more well be answer with my suggestions of a dear evan hands on rewrite. Written by yours truely and any given fans who wants to give there ideas.
