dipcifica is really funny because dipper is SUCH a romantic at heart. but his dynamic with pacifica is nurtured by the fact that they can both kind of be assholes. and verbal sparring is something they do for enrichment. so stuff like fake-arguing with her can still make him develop a case of goo-goo eyes, because he likes having a Thing with her. it's just a funny dichotomy
