Decided to draw 6 of my favorite childhood show characters đź’–
A look at "Doc McStuffins," the popular Disney Junior animated series about the eponymous character, who serves as a toy doctor.
2010s Disney JR protagonists
Love love love characters that present themselves as emotionally open social butterflies but the more you see of them the more obvious it is that they’re the most closed off fuckers in the story. Sure, they want to help you with your personal problems and messy emotions, but if you turn that shit back on them, they’ll shut down or deflect every time. Why are you sticking your nose in their business anyway? It’s not like it matters. They’re not a person, they’re just a role being played. They’re the guy who fixes things and saves people. Please ignore the man behind the mask, he’s fine. Everything’s fine.
When you're fixated on a "kid's" show:
me explaining why any character ive ever felt a deep connection to since age five is autistic
Growing up undiagnosed is realising most characters you related to in childhood are (probably accidentally) autistic coded.
I'm looking at you Hades (the actual one in mythology), Doc McStuffins, Cedric the great/sensational and Sofia the first.
Bonus points if you had or have a hyper fixation on them.
Even more bonus points if you got your older autistic sibling to rewatch the stuff they're in with you (totally not talking from experience here /s).
