Sony has decided to release a deuce very unusual devices - outer “camera lens”. The Photo gene from Cyber-shot is a camera for your smartphone or tablet. Both models are equipped with its own battery and memory. For being firmly fixed to any metal surface inside have been integrated the magnets and NFC control unit, which further extends their range of application.

Camera sensor and Bionz processor are also located entirely within the lens, which gives a huge performance gain.

DSC-QX100 will come with the same 1-inch 20MP CMOS-matrix EXMOR R that is used in the RX100 Mark II and f/1.8-4.9 fast lens Zeiss Vario-Sonnar with optical image stabilization. A simpler model DSC-QX10 is equipped with the same optics as the consumer-grade Sony WX150 with a 1/2.3-inch 18.5MP sensor, f / 3,3-5.9 10x zoom lens.

Both cameras are running on both operating systems iOS and Android. Wi-Fi and NFC wireless connection for quick conjugation with a slot for memory cards SD. Also included, kit will accompanied by a special bracket.

Sony Cyber-Shot QX100 and QX10 is available now for $500 and $250, respectively.
