And to the Turks that lives in Istanbul; Materials are being collected so that the earthquake victims in Kahramanmaraş can be fed, and stay warm. Along with food, blankets, baby diapers and handkerchiefs are being collected too, In the news couple AFAD workers also said that their in need of garbage bag and medicane too. The stuff are being collected at "Avcılar Mesleki Teknik Anadolu Lisesi" on the European side and "Üsküdar Türkan Sabancı Görme Engellileri Okulu" on the Anatolian side. (I live extremely close to Avcılar Mesleki Teknik Anadolu Lisesi It's like a 1-4 minute walk so, my mom went there to give diapers n' handkerchiefs for the earthquake victims.)

September nineteenth 2017, like every year on this day, there's an earthquake drill going on in Mexico city. A drill turns into reality, and a seismic wave of a 7.1 magnitude shakes the city-physically and emotionally. Videos begin circulating social media and news alerts begin coming in. I send the news out, I turn on the tv at work, I can't believe it. My initial reaction had been of outrage- how is this city still being built with insecure and cheap infrastructure if we all know it's basically on top of two tectonic plates. How can the government, even after the 1985 earthquake, the recent hurricanes, be so incompetent. But as the news developed into today's events of finding children of a kindergarten, a baby, and workers under the rubble, the tears came. I wasn't there, my family is safe, but the images of all the Mexican civilians, of my destroyed Mexico and how the saving of one person caused applause within the crowd was a feeling of relief. A Relief to know that now the Mexican army was there, hospitals were transferring all patients to safety, the government was responding, the people after hours of work, were still there- taking rubble out with buckets and people taking food and water to the workers, people were moving fast and effectively. A Relief to see the earthquake hadn't known what was gonna hit it.
Watch this solidarity- A country of corruption, of broken structures, of a broken economy, but not of broken people

Natural disasters, just like wars, have a way of testing humanity. The social fabric is weakened or strengthened by forces out of our reach. In every instance I do feel it, the tragedy of Harvey and Puerto Rico, of Bangladesh just weeks ago. But for obvious reasons, I felt this even more. Geographically, many states and countries are prone to natural disasters- one of them being Mexico City, and even so these same states and countries won't always have the best resources to get back up. But in Mexico's case, say what you will of the poverty and of the corruption, there's always a lending hand. Civilians are setting up safe-houses with food and basic necessities-zero NGOs, just a bunch of civilians helping each other out, and in every one of these catastrophic cases solidarity is what counts.
Part 2: 🌊💥Disaster strikes when an earthquake shakes the ocean floor, causing rock formations to crumble. Ren's family is in danger, with his sick little brother and dying father unable to escape. The community is in chaos, with no one stepping up to help. 😰
Part 1: 🦊🎨
In a vibrant underwater world, Renard (or Ren for short), the sea fox, is born into a family of legendary artists. Despite having no limbs, he dreams of creating masterpieces. But his attempts to paint with his tail and teeth are met with laughter and mockery. Feeling defeated, Ren abandons his dreams, just like everyone abandoned him. 💔

On July 28th, 1976, two earthquakes hit in China, near the city of Tangshan. They were just 100 miles from Beijing. Tangshan was a city of 1 million that was almost completely destroyed in a day. Beijing’s port city, Tianjin, was also hit as was parts of the capital Beijing. Although the death toll was never confirmed by Chinese authorities, it may have exceeded 700,000. That would easily make the Tangshan earthquakes the most deadly natural catastrophe of the 1900s.
China at the time was still reeling from the aftermath of its decade-long and ultimately pointless “Cultural Revolution.” The response to the earthquakes was incompetent, ineffective, and corrupt. It directly led to more deaths and more suffering. Word of the earthquake and the terrible relief effort spread throughout China. In whispers, of course, since counterrevolutionaries were and are still arrested when the crime is nothing more than speaking a unhappy truth about the government. Already in poor health, Mao died just six weeks after Tangshan. And suddenly that and the ensuing power struggle were all that was talked about. The largest natural disaster of a century, and it is not taught or remembered.
Hi yeah, uh did your country cause an artificial earthquake when they scored a goal?
Honestly pls focus on these issues to you need to care about world problems all around the world not just western ones cause it does nothing productive to help people in need everywhere.
it honestly makes me sick how people can act like they care about world issues but turn a blind eye to ACTUAL world issues as soon as it isnt in the west. people in syria and turkey are digging their loves ones out of debris still and ive heard THREE people talk about it. THREE. families have been wrapping their deceased loved ones in TRASH BAGS because there have been so many deaths (around 16k if you must know) that there arent enough burial shrouds. this is a HORRIBLE disaster yet nobody is talking about it. where are all the “woke” girlies now? and you all know DAMN well if a natural disater this size happened in europe (yes ik turkey is europe technically before you all hunt me down) or america EVERYONE would be ralking about it, people would have “help america 🇺🇸🥺” pfps and everything. but nobody cares about the middle east. you all would rather forget any of this is going on than do something about it because you’re too self absorbed and ignorant to help people even when if doesnt effect you or benefit you. if you were REALLY an “activist”, you would care about the middle east.

Puerto Rico is being shaken by a lot of earthquakes the past few days. Most if not all of them have been at the south of Guanica and the latest one was just a couple minutes ago and it was 6.0 in magnitude. I live all the way in Rincon and I felt it!
A 6.6 magnitude earthquake just happened over here in Puerto Rico and there's tsunami alert!! Please, who ever is in the beach or some other place that's not secure, get to safe ground!!
Thankfully I'm ok, family is ok. Everything it's ok here at home.
