OK FIRST OFF: EDRIC
I’ve always thought that Edric was sort of pushed off to the side a little and Emira took most of the uh spotlight ig? Like sure they both showed up at the same time but I think she tends to have more lines or like she picks on him directly making him seem sorta ‘weaker’ ?? I love the foreshadowing with some things though like the beast keeping hobby.
In the episode Adventures in the Elements, Edric said he wanted to keep that bat thing as a pet and in the end I guess they did let him keep it as a pet! Its the same one he has with him throughout the episode. I’m not sure if they ever alluded to the potions thing tho but I’m glad they had a bit of a closure with his “mistake” in the end. Eda telling him that the serum he made actually is super cool and she’d be able to sell it helps console him.
Then we return to the normal dynamic when Eda throws the shirt at him and Emira butts in front and interrupts his sentence. It’s sorta like showing his whole… uh thing with Emira or whatever isn’t going to change nor will it solve his “not being taken seriously” thing but helping Eda has still helped with his confidence too.
Today we have Blight twins, my favorite characters in the series Owl House.
If someone does not know what their names are, then their names are Edric and Emira, in my opinion they are charming and funny

“Do… Do you believe that if it came down to it, Torrhen would truly let me decide the fate of my own life?” Edric asked her earnestly, sitting down. “Did he tell you of the change in plans with the Targaryen princess? I dodged this one, unfortunately for Adam. But I’m just… concerned I suppose.” He felt as if he could be honest with his sister in law. She had always been nothing but kind to him. “Thankfully she hated me as much as I despised her, so she was able to work to dissolve our agreement. We would have destroyed each other otherwise… Anyways, has he mentioned anything to you?”

listening carefully to what her brother in law said she thought carefully of what to respond with. “i think torrhen is doing his best to look out for not just his family but the entire north. there are things that have to be decided for us in that regards.” perhaps it was growing up as a woman, she knew there were always going to be things in her life hat would not be up to her to decide. there was more freedoms as a man in this world. maybe edric was facing what she and so many other women had grown up knowing.
“edric, we have been blessed with new station of life. kings, queens, princes and princesses….there are always going to be some things that her cannot control anymore. but maybe there are some things in our fate we cannot decide but it is what we do with those things that help us take control of our fate. there is much more you can do edric…maybe you can show torrhen you are able to take those choices into your hands. show him he can trust you with those tough choices.” she told him. “i have no doubt you will do great things with whatever is given to you edric.”

His sister in law was one of those few- well rather, two people. “I… Well I could actually use some advice. And from someone who isn’t going to answer with political agendas in mind.” He knew he could trust her to speak truth to him.

glancing up from the small needlepoint she was working on, the new queen of the north gave a smile to her good brother. “of course i do. although my needlepoint is very important but i believe it can wait.” she said placing the embroidery hoop down on the table next to her. she gave a signal for edric to come sit next to her by the fire. she had hardly moved from the spot all day as the winter storm still continued to rage outside.
with everything that had happened recently she had agreed with torrhen it was best for her to stay within the stark’s buildings unless it was completely necessary. thought she did find it nice getting to spend more time with her brothers and sisters in law. it did seem like something was troubling edric however and it was not just the words he said. his demeanor did not seem exactly like him. “what’s going on? i am always here to listen.”

“Rose? I wanted to come check on you after all that happened. Those Lannisters are lunatics.” Edric entered the room and draped a blanket over his sister in law’s shoulders. “If I had the chance I would have run him through.” He hated how it seemed more and more like he couldn’t just ignore the problems surrounding them all. “How are you? And the baby?”

he chaos that happened that night was still so fresh within her mind. in a moment after things had settled enough she was whisked away back to her room by her guards and lady maids. all of them overly concerned at how she faired. would the lannister king have hurt her? surely if he wanted to he simply would have but…he didn’t. his concerns lay with his family. could she blame him for that? for wanting to keep his brother and sister safe? still the cold feeling of his sword on her neck was not one she would forget soon.
she only had a moment alone before her brother in law came to check up on her. pulling the blanket closer around her she nodded to his question. “i am okay… thank you.” she told him. “the baby is fine, kicking up a storm but not harmed in any way.” her mind wandered back to the lannisters, to gwen being threatened. to the news that everyone now knew. they were family now in a weird twisted way. “they aren’t lunatics…the lannisters. everything was just, chaotic. that’s all.”
