The Water's Wisdom: A Meandering Arroyo's Tale

-----------------------------

A bubbling stream through mountains flows, A winding arroyo's timeless show. With water bubbles that dance and play, A story unfolds, in a magical way.

They follow the path of least resistance, A lesson in life's profound existence. Adapting to the landscape they traverse, With resilience, they flow and disperse.

Through valleys, canyons, and rocky bends, They navigate, with curves and blends. Embodying nature's unwavering grace, Teaching us to follow life's own pace.

They never fight, nor do they resist, But flow with ease, and never insist. They teach us to let go and surrender, To life's twists and turns, in a graceful splendor.

In their fluid motion, there's wisdom profound, For us to embrace, and always keep around. To be like water, adaptable and free, To go with the flow, in perfect harmony.

To let go of resistance and trust the way, To navigate challenges, come what may. To be resilient, in the face of strife, And find our strength, in the flow of life.

Like water, we can be gentle and strong, And navigate life's journey, along and along. To embrace change, with an open heart, And let our spirit flow, in every part.

For in the arroyo's tale, we can find, The water's wisdom, so pure and kind. To be more like water, with adaptable grace, Going with the flow, in life's embrace.

So let us learn from the arroyo's flow, To be resilient, wherever we go. To follow the path of least resistance, And let life's beauty be our existence.

For in the water's wisdom, we can find, A timeless truth, so pure and refined. To be like water, in our journey through life, Adaptable, resilient, flowing with delight.

Thank you for

Your embrace

the way you hold me

when darkness

got a hold of me.

Your warmth

that you share with me

when I feel

cold and lonely.

Your voice

that whispers in my ear:

"I'm here.

Everything's okay."

And when

You reconfirm to me:

"I'm yours

and I'm here to stay."

Chased by nightmares

While awake and in my sleep

Your words and embrace

Are the salvation that I seek

You've seen this hellscape

You've too had these dreams

If I would ask you

Would you get through with me?

I didn’t know you write for Cursed Princess Club now, that’s exciting! Would you write for Syrah? If so, would you be able to write Syrah trying to find ways to use her curse to help or have fun? Since the ending of the series and seeing how she used her nose as a weapon, maybe she could use it for helping outside of fighting. I hope this is alright to request. Thank you for taking time to hear my request out 🙂

What If...

Syrah (CPC) Idea/short story

Yesss! I love Syrah, she cracked me up through the story, she was one of my favorites. I'm sorry if this is too short and that it took so so long to post! I've got 5 other requests on the way as well!! Again, im sorry if it's too short but I feel like these ideas would be super cute :(

-Writer Icy<3

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Syrah stood in front of her mirror, staring at her long nose. It had always been a source of insecurity, but recently, after realizing she could use it as a weapon, she started to wonder what else it might be good for. She had been telling the “Im fine” Fib but her nose was betraying her so she decided to think of a way to put it into good fun.
"Okay, Syrah," she said to herself, determination shining in her eyes. "Time to turn this curse into something fun and helpful!"
The Ring Toss Idea
She wandered outside to the palace garden, where Gwen was playing with a small group of children, looking for something to do. Inspiration struck her. Syrah quickly grabbed a few rings from a nearby game set and walked over to the kids. With her nose already long enough, this should be a piece of cake! "Hey, how about we play a new game?" she suggested, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
The kids looked at her, intrigued. "What game?" one of them asked.
"Ring toss!" Syrah grinned. "But with a twist."
She bent her nose slightly upward and held the rings up to each. The children gasped in awe as they realized what she was planning. Syrah stood still, her nose acting as the perfect post, and the children took turns tossing rings onto it. Laughter filled the garden as the rings landed one after another, some falling off, others staying on. "This is so much fun!" a little girl exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with joy. Syrah beamed, feeling a sense of pride and happiness she hadn't experienced in a long time. "See? My nose isn't just for show!"
The Crochet Experiment
Later that day, Syrah found herself in her room, thinking about what else she could do with her curse. As she sat down on her bed, her eyes looked around her as if responding to some subconscious thought as they landed on a ball of yarn. "Wait a minute..." she muttered, an idea forming in her mind. She grabbed some yarn and a crochet hook from her crafting supplies and began experimenting.
Since her nose was already extended, she carefully used it to loop the yarn, creating a surprisingly neat chain of stitches. "Hmm, I think I’m onto something here!" Syrah said, smiling to herself. She spent the next few hours practicing, and by the end of the day, she had managed to crochet a small, albeit slightly wonky, scarf. It was far from perfect, but Syrah was thrilled with her progress. "I can't believe it! Who knew my nose could be so useful for crafting?"
Over the next few days, Syrah continued to find creative uses for her curse. Whether it was helping her friends of the club with chores, making new friends with fun games, or crafting unique items for her loved ones, she was determined to prove that her curse could be a blessing in disguise. With every new discovery, Syrah grew more confident, learning to embrace her curse not as a flaw, but as a unique and valuable part of who she was.
Breaking Free From Self-Sabotage: Embracing A Limitless Career Path
Breaking Free from Self-Sabotage: Embracing a Limitless Career Path
In our journey through life, we often carry the weight of past failures, limited beliefs, and unintentional boundaries that hinder our potential for growth and success. These self-imposed limitations can be particularly damaging when it comes to our careers, as they prevent us from reaching our true potential and fulfilling our dreams. However, by recognizing and challenging these self-sabotaging patterns, we can embark on a transformative journey towards a limitless career. In this blog, we will explore the power of mindset, overcoming limiting beliefs, and embracing the untapped potential within ourselves.
The Power of Mindset:
Our thoughts and beliefs have a profound impact on our actions and outcomes. If we constantly doubt our abilities and label ourselves as failures, we inadvertently sabotage our chances of success. Embracing a growth mindset, characterized by a belief in our ability to learn, adapt, and overcome challenges, is crucial in breaking free from self-sabotage. By challenging negative thoughts and replacing them with positive affirmations, we can shift our perspective and open doors to new opportunities.
Unmasking Limiting Beliefs:
Often, our self-sabotage stems from deeply ingrained limiting beliefs. These beliefs may have been instilled in us by external factors such as societal expectations, upbringing, or past experiences. It's important to identify and question these beliefs, asking ourselves whether they are truly valid or merely self-imposed barriers. By challenging these limiting beliefs, we can redefine our capabilities and unlock the potential we once thought was unattainable.
Embracing Failure as a Stepping Stone:
Failure is an inevitable part of life, but it should never define us or hinder our progress. Instead of allowing past failures to paralyze us, we must view them as valuable learning experiences that contribute to our personal and professional growth. By reframing failure as a stepping stone towards success, we can break free from the cycle of self-sabotage and embrace a mindset of resilience and perseverance.
Cultivating Self-Compassion:
Self-sabotage often thrives in an environment of self-criticism and harsh judgment. To counteract this destructive pattern, it is essential to cultivate self-compassion. Treat yourself with kindness, understanding that everyone has setbacks and struggles. By practicing self-compassion, you create a nurturing space for growth, allowing yourself to forgive past mistakes and move forward with renewed motivation and determination.
Setting Goals and Taking Action:
Breaking free from self-sabotage requires proactive steps towards self-improvement. Set realistic and achievable goals that align with your passions and aspirations. Break these goals down into actionable steps, focusing on consistent progress rather than immediate perfection. By taking decisive action, you empower yourself to transcend the boundaries of self-sabotage and forge a path towards a fulfilling and successful career.
Let me leave this right here...
Embracing a limitless career begins with freeing ourselves from the shackles of self-sabotage. By challenging limited beliefs, adopting a growth mindset, embracing failure as a stepping stone, cultivating self-compassion, and taking action towards our goals, we can break free from the chains that hold us back. Remember, your past does not define your future. Seize the opportunity to create the career you deserve, one that surpasses all limitations and flourishes in the realm of endless possibilities.
Patience.
Patience was never a virtue I thought I had. I mean sure, I have enough patience to wait for my Amazon package to arrive or the will power to not open a Christmas present early. But waiting for things to change, for things to change in my current life’s state, is difficult.
Waiting for that kind of change is so hard. You work towards the change to the best of your ability, but there is no end date or estimated time of arrival. With Amazon packages, you have tracking notifications. With Christmas presents, you know it occurs on the same day every year. But with life, no one knows. The only think I know is I’m still trying and I’m trying to make progress.
But how far I’m getting, how much closer I am, I wish I knew.
