I think the most plausible theory is the unintentional side effects of giving robots sentience. Freddy and Bonnie developed feeling, and management noticed. If the public found out it would bring up ethical problems so they just decided to ax them. But they can't kill Freddy because he is the face of the company. Now Bonnie... not so much.
The funny thing about glamrock fronnie is that, like, how did that even happen canonically?
Did fazbear entertainment say "we need gay rep to sell our shit to the queers" cause you know damn well right wing Christian nuclear family types would absolutely call the sentient robots devils or something; so they programmed the rabbit and bear to be into each other.
Or did the two fall in love naturally, cause of the whole literally teaching the endos how to think and corporate said "we can make this work"?
Does the people running the damn company even know their robots can fall in love?
Forget killer robots and brainwashing, I want scott to write a book on the intricacies of "robot dating S.O.P."
You know, there's no commercial reason Freddy would hold Bonnie like that and now I'm like AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA

What would BwL! Bonnie and Freddy look like as humans?
With my recent discovery of what illusion disks are, I'd figure at some point they'd try them out and this is what they would look like.
Although Bonnie is Genderfluid, he is more feminine so I designed him with a more curvy, female based body to portray his more motherly role in Blended with Love.
Freddy on the other hand is designed to look like how he looked in his past life. The third image is showing a peek into the first time he used an illusion disk, only to find a scar staring at him in a painful reminder of when he was scooped.

- Freddy and Bonnie love to plan little band rehearsals or karaoke nights whenever all the kids leave, they love performing together for the rest of the gang.
- Bonnie is very, very sweet and loving to Freddy. Mainly hogs him for himself. (i would too ngl)
- They love to sneak out of the pizzaria by themselves sometimes to go on dates, food drives, etc.
- Both really like Regular Show.
- Freddy is gay, Bonnie is bisexual.
- They quote Be More Chill way too much.

- They both fell in love the same day they were murdered. Freddy stood in front of Bonnie to protect him from being stabbed, but the attacks ended up killing them both.
- Freddy is an artist! He caught up on an anime art style, and he loves drawing himself and Bonnie!
- They're that one couple that seem very cute and pure but are actually hella kinky. (damn son)
