{Happy New Year btwπππ}
I kinda wanna make a game in the future (by future I mean a decade or so bc I am NOT starting now) that has 7 chapters fused into one game. Idk what to call it but yk who cares.
It starts off with a "backstory" which gives context to most of the game and why we're here. It shows a girl(who is our little sister, Amelia) getting attacked by an older boy(Mike). We(An older lad. We are called Ozzy.) try to fend him off. Amelia ends up dying due to internal injuries.
Then we meet a lady who predicts the future via palm reading. She does her reading and says that something bad will happen. "Backstory" ends with the sight shutting out. Implying we were knocked out by something or someone.
Chapter 1: The Asylum
We wake up in one of the rooms on the first floor of an abandoned asylum. The "backstory" are our only memories of prior events. We decide to go explore. (Oh yeah we are also part mythical creature. We only have the lower half of a cat with feathers on the end of our tails+tiny gold horns+ golden eyes). Our objective is to find 5 items on this floor. Same with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Halfway collecting our items we start to halluncinate as we are slowy beggining to be driven mad. We eventually shake it off and continue collecting.(Oh yeah you have to collect them in order) The 5th item being collected a door will open within the room which leads to a very long tunnel. As we enter it we start to halluncinate a sort of eldritch horror chasing us down. We begin running down the tunnel. We reach the end of the tunnel and pass out due to exhaustion.
Chapter 2: The Clown
We wake up in a sort of bright coloured room which looks similiar to Sunshine's Daycare in Security Breach. We then meet our first character Klownie. Klownie(Also known as Travis)is a 26 year old male jester who is wearing a comedy mask which spins around(Similiar to Gangle's out of TADC) who had been moved to the asylum after the circus he originally worked at burned down due to a freak accident. He tells us that we can look around if we want but we can't touch his stuff. Ironically, that is excactly what we have to do. However in some of the rooms which our 5 items are in, their are cameras watching 24/7. We have to climb the wall and disable the camera with our claws. On our 5th item Klownie notices us taking an item and he gets a bit fustrated. We try to explain that we need the item as a way out. Klownie then goes on about how his brother(Nik) suffered the same fate as our sister and he needs that item. We then run away. Taking that Klownie is part eldritch horror he begins to chase us. Using black tentacles with eyes dotted in them to try and grab us. We then trip over amd land hard on our head. Before he grabs us he seemingly falls over the side of the metal railing. This is not the last time we see Klownie.
Chapter 3: The 3 Ladies
We wake up in yet another room where we are greeted by Celine. She doesn't recognise us as first. She explains that she is a part of a much greater, singular vessel called The Lord. As a spirit along with her twin brother are responsible for keeping The Lord moving and conscious. After some talking and chit chat Celine finally recognises us. We both hug eachother(ik its adorable. One of the only wholesome moments in the game) and Celine reassures us we'll be ok. Celine then introduces us to her two friends, Wini and Locks, who are both lovers. Locks gives us 2 of the items we need on the 3rd floor. We then leave the room after some talk and reassurance and find the other 3 items.
Chapter 4: The Lord
We then walk up to the 4th floor. There is only one room. We walk in. The room is massive yet empty. Barely anything apart for the 5 items we need on this floor. We then meet the ππππ eldritch horror, The Lord. Fully black as void. Multiple eyes everywhere on the body. All red and blue. There is a red eye hanging by a ππππππ of skin below The Lord's head. Along with multiple mouths packed with sharp, shark-like teeth scattered along the body. The body has horrificly long limbs, neck, fingers and feet. The Lord then talks to us. We then search for the 5 items under close supervision from The Lord. We then leave.
Chapter 5: Confrontation
We then walk up the to the fith floor which agaim, has one room. We walk inside to find Mike, the same boy that attacked and killed our little sister, Amelia. Both us and Mike talk. We then begin fighting for around 3 minutes. The fight concludes with us cracking Mike's skull open with our fists and smushing his brains in with our claws.
Chapter 6: The Vessel
We then walk up to the 6th floor. There is a large empty space. In the centre is a huge, glowing white with a cross silver pupil, eye hooked in plave by glowing white strands attached to the walls. We then drop our items before it and tell it we have the items. The Vessel tells us we can leave and we can take somebody with us if we wish to. However there are people who ππππ stay, like Celine or The Lord. We walk down to the 2nd floor.
Chapter 7: The Body
We meet Klownie again in the Bright Room. His clothes are more dull and torn out and some bells are missing. He gets angry upon seeing us and attempts to fight us. We accidentally break his mask in the process and he instantly hides away. Stopping us from seeing his face. We quickly apologise. We then ask why he insists on covering his face. Not only was he insecure about his face but he also forbids himself from letting anyone, even him, to see it because of his actions. He then explains what happened to his brother, Nik. Nik too died because of internal injuries inflicted by his attacker. Klownie quickly caught up to this and killed Nik's attacker the following night amd says that nobody can forgive him. (Ima insert some dialogue i want bc π π π π₯ π¬)
"π° forgive you."
"What?"
"I forgive you"
"You...Y-you πππ'π forgive me."
"I killed my sister's attacker not so long ago. And yet I've shown my face to ππππππππ in this facility."
"You can't see my face."
"I'm sure ππ can't be ππππ bad"
"Fine"
*He lets us approach him. He slowly removes his hands from his face. His right eye is intact. A striking frost blue. In replace of the left eye is a big, black X. His hair is a mix of scruff and fluff. Only about reaching to the shoulders. The colour an almost πππππ brown. He looks with a mix of guilt and irratation.*
"I know I know. It's the most ππππππππ face you'll ever see."
"Klownie-"
"The name's Travis."
"Travis?"
"Yes?"
"I think you look just πππππππ"
"...You can't be serious."
"Travis, I've looked πππππππ in the face and not been the slightest disturbed. Anyways I was sent by that big white eye up on floor 6 to leave but I was wondering...do you wanna come with me.?"
"The Vessel allowed you to leave?"
"Look I know you might think that you can't leave because of what you did to that person. But it was for a good reason. πππ'ππ π ππππ ππππππ, π»πππππ"
*He grabs our hand and let us pull him up*
"Oh shut up you're gonna make me cry" -T
*We chuckle slightly*
"Lemme get one thing first"
*He walks into another section of the room and comes out with a pink notepad caked in MLP and Hello Kitty stickers*
"Is that..yours or..."
"My brother gave it to me for my birthday. He wanted to decorate it a little bit."
"D-do you want me to fix your mask? I can patch it up if you want-"
"I dont need it. You can have it...uhhh"
"Ozzy"
"Yeah you can have it if you want, Oz. I dont need it"
*We smile*
*We walk out of the room together*
*We hold hands*
The End.
*Role credits*
SO YALL TELL ME WHATTYA THINK :D
Inspired by this post by @midwinterhunt, here's a compilation of all the game dev resources I have come across, most of which I use fairly frequently. Most of these are free, some are paid but fairly cheap. Feel free to add your own resources. βοΈ
Important reminder: When using basically any works or programs someone else created in your games, make sure you thoroughly understand the licenses and terms it has been shared with. If you don't know what the terms are, reach out to the resource and ask. Don't be lazy about this; it's not only dishonest but it can come back to bite you.

The stable version of Alice at Sea from SAILOR ALICE Project has now officially LAUNCHED (8.31.2024, 21:00PDT) πππ Thank you to everyone these past few months πππ
The game is available on Windows and Mac. Please support the release!! Thank you! πβοΈ
βSailor Alice: Alice at Sea is a nautical fantasy adventure made in RPG MAKER MZ. The story follows the shut-in elf Lilibet, after she sends off her apprentice to become the hero that saves the princess. Shortly after her student's departure however, the innocent request of a red skinned foreigner sets in motion a series of events. Something's . . . not right about the sea, is it . . . ?
In 200 years, the world's atmosphere will collapse. Bringing disasters such as extreme weather, this is known as the "mana crisis." An environmentalist of 2,000 years, Lilibet has long abandoned her hope. If she can recover all her memories, perhaps she'll find a person who's still fighting. A "hero."
Part of the game's purpose is to raise awareness to the climate crisis it parallels. Lilibet's world might be set to end in 200 years, but parts of East Asia, South Asia, and Southeast Asia (the region the game's archipelago is based on) will become uninhabitable within the next 20 years.β

Hi, Iβm a 17 year old Filipino American digital illustrator and UTAU developer! Recently I wanted to take a swing at game dev, so Iβve been working on my first game, SAILOR ALICE: Alice at Sea! With my age and the threat to my motherland, Iβve been pretty worried about climate change ^^u. Itβs a short light-hearted 3 hour game with 6 chapters, and in those three hours, the player gets to spend time completing side-quests and talking to NPCs to build MEMORIA FLOTSAM. The 3rd ending can only be unlocked on a second playthrough.
Itβs currently not in a stable state, and is still meant to be at a stage in development where I can still make some large changes. I would really love to hear peopleβs thoughts, feedback, and ideas on the writing/narrative/characters/etc. The stable version will launch before August 31st as a submission to SuNoFes 2024.
Any reblogs and support is highly appreciatedβ¦.!! πβοΈ
