You woke up to the sun peeking through the curtains in Gene’s room. “Good morning” Gene said. His morning voice clear through his words. You opened up one eye and smiled softly at him. His hair still a mess from sleep and a grin on his pretty face. “Good morning” you half-whispered back. He kissed your cheek and pulled you in his arms. You nuzzled your head into his sweatshirt and sighed deeply.

You two laid there in a comfortable silence, just enjoying each other’s companies. You felt yourself drifting back to sleep until small kisses landed on your face. You pretended to sleep, but you couldn’t hide a giggle bubbling inside of me. The peppering of kisses became more intense and now you were full on laughing. “Gene stop” you squealed, trying to push him away. His sloppy-kiss attacks were intense and tickling. You finally managed to push him off of you. The both of you just started laughing. “Wanna watch a movie?” Gene asked while stroking your hair. He wasn’t the type you’d expect to be so lovey dovey, but here we are. “Sure” you said smiling slightly. He pulled you in once more and you rested your head on his shoulder. You breathed in his scent deeply and played with his fingers. Mornings like these didn’t happen too often, but when they did you appreciated them with your entire heart.
