when someone asks why I'm changing up Katseye's discography but 'Gnarly' just came out:
gnarly was certianly gnarly. everything was so good (imo), from the concept to the beat to the mind-melting mv, expect for those damn lyrics💔💔
the chorus was fine and honestly catchy (especially the clean ver. -- both have been stuck in my head) but the verses?? maybe i wouldnt dislike them AS much if they weren't so.. empty instrumental wise. honestly it did grow on me after listening to it a few times but that might be because of the mv since i really love the direction they went with it
idk, all i do know is i'll still be supporting the girls while they promote this single, even though i don't vibe with it as much as i wanted to, and i'll be holding out hope for the next single and the album/ep/mini album (and i'll be avoiding their comment sections & twitter for a while lol)
gnarly is good bro idk what some of y'all R on. it's a sarcastic. we use things like fire and sick in our vocabulary every day, what difference does it make if it's gnarly. it's meant to be fun and a chaotic song. some of y'all R just missing the mark entirely. yeah the lyrics are cringe but that's what makes it fun, they aren't afraid to be different and be cringe.
