rolling your eyes at his whole charade you turned and continued walking, hand in hand.

i 100% believe that katsuki would only confess when he thinks you can’t hear him

when you don’t wake up is when he’d look away. “y’know you’re more tolerable like this.. your dumbass never shuts up.” a ripple went through the couch as he chuckled slightly. who knew bakugo katsuki could laugh?
“how’d you fall asleep anyway?” his tone rises a bit before he remembered you were sleeping. “how much sleep did you get last night?”
“fuck i don’t care.” he stopped himself for a second. silence enveloping the room except for your snores.
“i’ve seen you hanging with shitty hair. don’t think i don’t notice.” he paused briefly. “fuck that, do what you want, i couldn’t care less.”
he could’ve sworn he saw you laugh but he ignored it. “i hate your dumbass…” he rubbed his face. “you’ve made me fall for you.”

you sat down at the restaurant table. it was a fancy one, a new one shoto insisted on going to as soon as you both were free from your jobs. you both had only graduated a few months ago but barely had time for each other. thus shoto insisted that any time you both were free would be reserved for you to spend time together.
you subtly checked out the man you’ve watched grow since you both were sixteen - he was beautiful. “i’ve missed you.” shoto said, not so subtly checking you out.
“i’ve missed you, too.” you smiled as the waitress set down two menus.
“so how have you been?” you asked, eyes glancing over the various appetizers.
“izuku and ochaco are officially dating.” he answered, flagging down the waitress before setting down his menu.
“oh?” you looked up smiling before noticing his nonchalant expression. “oh.”
“yeah, i don’t think it’s what’s best for them right now.” the waitress set down both of your foods.
“well, maybe they’re happy.” silence passed as you both ate. it was always fun settling down and talking with shoto. even if the conversation topic was one of your mutual friends.
“do you think we’re happy?”
you looked up from your plate with surprise. where was this coming from? “o-of course! baby, i love you.”
suddenly he got up, kneeling in front of you. reaching in his back pocket, pulling out a tiny black box. your hands immediately went up to cover your mouth in shock. “i brought you three rings before i settled on this one. so hopefully you like it.” his other hand went up to scratch the back of his head.
“shoto…”
“when i first saw you it’s like i could breathe again and when you kissed me i could love again. i never thought i would ever deserve someone like you. but you deserve so much more and i promise to be the best i can be for you, if you allow me. if you allow me, i will make sure your tears are never bitter, your pain never goes unnoticed, your love never wasted. y/n, will you marry me?”
tears welled in your eyes at his words. how could someone ever love you this much? “yes.” you answered, hugging your fiancée.

“we are not getting married!” you exclaimed, hand slamming down your pencil. you were currently in UA’s library which was filled with working students studying for the upcoming exams.
this is what you were meant to be doing but your study partner was being very distracting. “why not?” he asked, face genuinely curious.
“uh for one we’re third years…” you whisper yelled after noticing multiple students giving you a dirty look.
“so is money the issue? i can always use my-“
turning back down to your work you began working again, ignoring the male opposite of you.
“i want to make you my spouse, y/n, please let me.” this made you jump. was he really this serious about marrying you?
“how about this… once we graduate, we talk about this again and maybe I’ll say yes.”
“okay.” he agreed, finally picking back up his pencil.
imagining shoto confessing his love for you at the most inconvenient times. like you could be in the middle of the mcdonald’s drive through or taking a shit and he’ll just be staring at you. then when you finally ask him what, he’s just like “i will always love you.” in the most heart wrenching tone. obviously you say it back but that doesn’t make it any less funny.
