Ok, so I was never into the final fantasy type of stuff, which is weird because I'm usually into a fantasy stuff like that but I never got the appeal until a certain Cat man caught my interest and as I learned more about him the more I got attached and now I'm obsessed with final fantasy xiv and I cannot stop thinking about him I need more of him jesus christ, someone help
And once I saw the price of the actual game, i was like Oh, Hey, cool, it's just 20 Bucks until I learn that I need to get the extension of the game if I want more which is fucking 60 dollars to buy both god save my soul
So I ran into Mastema in SJR again a few days ago and I have to say I am really preferring how law is being introduced in this game over how it was in SMT 1? SMT 1 the law reps launched nukes and destroyed the entire world and then were like “Yeah we can’t wait till God FLOODS THE EARTH AND PURGES THE SINNERS <3″ which just. That isn’t something I can be tempted by at all? Like even remotely. SJR though you’ve got Mastema. He’s kind of terrifying looking and if you know anything about Mastema he is even more terrifying. But like he does very much show up when shit’s seemingly hopeless on your end and helps you out. He does this at the expense of pain too and he’s fine with Zelenin being freaked out by him. And in your third meeting with him he gives Zelenin a cool angel to watch over her because he knows she’s scared of (non-angel) demons and won’t use the demon summoning program. There’s still the menace there. You can see the extremes. He says he is your ally so long as you agree that wiping out all demons is good. Which implies that the moment you step one toe out of line he will show up and make your life hell. Also he’s got a mask on and is just kind of spooky looking? But the point is that there is an appeal to him and something that does make me understand why someone in Zelenin’s position would trust him. This also works with like…How the demons are presented to you? Initially they are presented not well at all. You’re stuck here and they’re killing you and causing trouble. You see signs of the actual problem. The photos of the Schwarzvelt that were captured show battlegrounds, malls, trash heaps, etc. But your interaction with the chaos side of things initially outside of the human rep is those beings capturing you and torturing you and eating you. So like your choices in terms of main plot supernatural beings thus far have been…”Demons” that seem to want to eliminate all human life and an angel who seems to want to protect the world. And for that he needs humanity’s help! So he’s here to watch over you!
