eiki shiki and kisume dedicated post
eiki shiki and kisume are pretty neglected in terms of returning, kisume is only seen in th11 (her debut) and in GoM and the other books (grimoire of marisa and etc) also double spoiler (and lostword) i guess? but that’s really it, eiki shiki returns in double spoiler and other books and also Hopeless Masquerade (and lostword), that’s really it, at least she got better treatment than kisume, th17 was really a missed opportunity to return eiki, these two are honestly super silly, since the newer games (like WBaWc and also some parts of UdoALG, plus SA aka touhou 11) are sometimes themed around hell, i could see eiki returning but there was a missed opportunity in th17 and th11 especially, i also really like both of their costumes (especially eiki’s fantasy rebirth outfit, it strangely looks like a wedding dress to me, is she getting married to bill cipher? im joking btw with the bill cipher thing lmao)

so genetics in gensokyo right? yama genetics are probably the same as human genetics in gensokyo, since you know, yamas and other creatures are very humanoid looking in gensokyo, so that means kisume had probably enherited eiki’s green hair and eiki decided to turn kisume’s hair into pigtails, since you know, in gensokyo if you have a hairstyle you keep it forever unless you go to a gensokyo barber or something cuts your hair off (example: a creature biting your hair off, but that’s pretty unlikely since most creatures in gensokyo are actually humanoid) or if you know how to comb hair in gensokyo (which might be common but residents of gensokyo probably don’t care about hairstyles much so they just keep their hairstyle the same) kisume might as well be a dead child (of eiki’s?) reincarnated into a tsurube otoshi (let’s just admit kisume acts, looks and talks like one) because yama’s judgement are basically whatever the fuck they think is right or wrong, so eiki might as well reincarnate marisa if she thinks her stealing books is perfectly ok, or she might as well send marisa to hell if she thinks stealing books is wrong, eiki might as well have mercy on her own child (nepotism? i don’t know) and reincarnate her.
