In a powerful opinion piece, the First Lady of Israel, Michal Herzog, expressed her disappointment towards international bodies, who have remained largely silent in the wake of the mass rapes and sexual violence perpetrated by Hamas terrorists on and since October 7th.

ok yay this is not what I want to be doing with my time rn, but alas, it’s gonna happen when you trash on my homeland. First things first. I live in New Jersey. I’ve lived here for about nine years. But before that, I lived in Israel. I love Israel more than anything. Stop calling it Genoc!de. Start calling it “oh shoot our citizens are in tunnels and a terrorist organization is bombing us almost every day, we can’t just do nothing.” There is nothing, and I mean nothing, worse than seeing your family and friends fighting in a war. You know there has been a pattern of heart attacks in family members of soldiers and hostages? Hamas’s attack was fully based off of hate. Hate for Jews, hate for Israel. Not politics. Yes, the Israeli government sucks and treats innocent Palestinians very poorly. It’s gonna continue to suck for as long as Bibi is the prime minister. But that’s not the fault of the people. Just like how nobody is blaming innocent Palestinians for hamas’s behavior. There is a difference, though. Only Israelis are blaming Hamas. Everyone else is yapping about how Hamas is ok and that the idf is the terrorist organization.

a large part of the lgbtq+ community is anti-Israel. Frankly, that’s irrational. Israel has a huge pride parade every year. It had one last summer, too, even when being bombed relentlessly. Israel is an amazing place to be out. I myself am aro ace. I’m out as aroace in Israel. No one’s shot me. If you come out to a Hamas soldier, they’ll be like: “ok. Imma shoot you know.” KABOOM. now you are no longer out. You’re in. In a grave. However, there is a chance that Hamas will steal your body and keep it from your loved ones for 423 days. I just wanna say that I am very liberal, very left leaning. I am a huge advocate for the trans community and lgbtq community for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been a climate activist, probably started being climate aware in like second grade. Trump’s what, 78? And he still isn’t. when I learnt her name I cried... poor girl didn't deserve this... she was just a good dog... she was only a little doggo... and they murdered her. I've seen what happened to her on video at the start of the conflict months ago... and it broke me. rest in peace Bonita, you are and always will be a very good girl. you are a hero and a star, we love you very much.

Bonita, an amazing Labrador, has saved human lives for all 8 years of her life.

Until she was murdered - three bullets by a terrorist from Hamas on October 7, 2023.

For almost seven years, Bonita served in the Israel Police.

Aviad, who served alongside her in the police, his wife Tom, their children and the family cat, adopted Bonita with great love, when Bonita retired.

At the time of the disaster, when the Hamas killers took over Kibbutz "Sufa", Bonita and her cat sister were alone at home. The rest of the family stayed for one night at Kibbutz "Dvir".

Neighbors' family members fled to the emergency room, and were unable to close the door, while Hamas killers shot them at the house.

Bonita ran to the neighbors' door, and managed to drive away the Hamas killers. Bonita saved the lives of all the sons and daughters of the neighbors' family.

After Hamas shot Bonita the first bullet, she continued to chase them, then the Hamas killer shot her 2 more bullets.

The video of Bonita’s murder was distributed by Hamas all over the Internet.

Bonita left behind a whole family, who can’t stop crying.
