Oh my goodness! I had no idea that this was actually happening! Some people are truly terrible! I am a person of color and have felt racially discriminated multiple times
sorry but it’s actually so horrific how little of a sense of community people have, how little regard they extend towards the other humans around them. killing people for being loud on the subway or turning around in your driveway. loading your gun and waiting at the door because a child ran your doorbell unexpectedly. ring cameras, neighborhoodapp, community watch group Facebook pages. you’ve assigned yourself the role of the one true peacekeeper and casted everyone else around you as a threat to be controlled. there’s no connection or love or compassion. just a deep distrust and hatred.
and the people who face the most significant consequences from this are the ones who are already deemed as outsiders. people of color, especially Black people, disabled people, people with mental illnesses, homeless people.
We are all one species. The idea of race is an illusion, one we continue to perpetuate. Why can't we accept that people have been treated poorly because of this false idea that the color of our skin makes us different? We have to accept it and try to mend our broken society. Now is the time to change how we treat each other. Now is the time for change.

God this gonna sound bitchy and long but please bare with me:
I keep getting asks about spreading awareness about their family(ies) in Gaza and such and asking for support: 1) I would ABSOLUTELY LOVE to support you but sadly I have to deal with my own money issues (bills/rent/groceries,ect) because me and my own family's wellbeing come first; 2) If I post one then everyone is gonna come running and I can't post them all or follow you all sadly.
Please understand I wish to support and follow everyone that needs the awareness or support out in the Middle East, but- again- I can't post/follow you all so I will say this: I support Palestine. Free Palestine. Stop the war in Gaza. Please if you can, offer money or supplies to charities that are focused on that or if you can't, offer prayers/offerings/wishes to whomever or whichever pantheon you worship. I, myself, ask Hades to help the lost souls and ask Loki to bring the ones who hurt innocents the karma they deserve.
So please understand I'm not being a bitch about your asks or cries for help, I wish for Palestine to be saved but all i can offer are my words. Thank you.
