Watched Everything Everywhere All at Once and thought of Jing Yuan and Yanqing.

Your child(apprentice) is both too similar to you and nothing like you at all. You share a stubbornness and a refusal to follow your parents(mentors) that drives you crazy, yet they have a different sort of anger than you do. You will do anything to cling to the past and present while they want to charge into the future.

Meanwhile on Yanqing’s end, like Joy, there is the fact you just want your parent(mentor) to understand. You want to find the pieces of yourself in your parent(mentor) so they can see why. So they know why you think the way you do. You want to make them see your point of view so they will stop holding you back. You are angry, so angry, and the fact they don’t feel your anger only makes it hurt more. You want your parent(mentor) to both hold you tight and let you go, to give you guidance and let you figure things out for yourself. You want destruction and yet you also want them to heal you.

There is also the same ‘you never had the trauma I did so why are you so angry’ vibe. They refuse to listen to their child(apprentice) because what do they know? They think that the youth don’t know the same sort of suffering and anger they faced. That they don’t know the troubles of the world the same way, and they are both right and wrong. As much as their child(apprentice) will never suffer the same way they did that child(apprentice) has their own struggles and reasons to be angry and the accidental invalidation and pressure that the parent(mentor) passes on…

Emanator Sampard

Becoming an emanator is a two way street. You have to get the gaze of an Aeon and then accept the power they grant you (like how the trailblazer had to actually take the lance)

Qlipoth wants Gepard as an emanator since he’s a great protector, sacrifices himself for Belobog, etc.

Gepard does not want to become an emanator and spread Qlipoth’s will. He wants to stay in Belobog and protect it and his family

Gepard is also being terrible about this whole thing. He’s given up on being civil and is basically biting at Qlipoth’s hand

Qlipoth is frustrated but stubborn

Enter Aha, who shows up to bother Qlipoth

Offers to help (for the chaos ofc)

Qlipoth accepts

Aha sends their emanator (Sampo) to go convince Gepard

Whoops they are now thrown together due to Aeon Shenanigans

They learn about each other as Sampo tries to convince Gepard and they fall in love? Somewhere along the way?

I don't post art because I’m bad at drawing but I drew this for a fic I’m writing because it won’t leave my brain. This is just a black and white version but it’s how I envision the corset I mention. Also, the flowers are supposed to be orange lilies for Reasons.

One thing everyone gets Wrong is Sampo and Gepard drinking. I know everyone thinks Sampo drinks a bunch and is a heavyweight while Gepard doesn’t drink and can’t handle alcohol but. Think.

Gepard grew up in a noble family, and nobles will have parties with lots of alcohol a lot for no particular reason, and he’s a soldier. There is no way he doesn’t drink. Sampo, meanwhile, spends 90% of his time in the Underworld, which is constantly short on supplies let alone something like alcohol. What they do have is probably watered down or really expensive.

What I’m saying is Sampo is three shots in dancing on the table while Gepard is eight shots in and can hold decent conversation.

ANYWAY in Honkai Star Rail Jingliu (after fighting Yanqing the first time) goes “this is my nephew” and just shows up to harass Yanqing sometimes and meanwhile he’s like “you are a wanted criminal and I will arrest you given the opportunity”. Also Jingliu will take Yanqing on “field trips” where she drags him places by threatening terrorism if he doesn’t cooperate. He hates it. She’s having so much fun teaching her ‘nephew’ things. Also she’s slightly more gentle teaching him than she was with Blade and Jing Yuan (though still violent) because she thinks she should be able to ‘spoil’ him.

i know the sane assumption is that aventurine was hallucinating but i dont know. something about a baby running around the dreamscape is funny.

HOW DO I COMPLAIN TO HOYOVERSE?

It's easy, and there are MULTIPLE things you can do! I recommend doing each item on this list.

1. SIGN & SHARE THE PETITION

The petition will be delivered to the appropriate cultural reps, in order to complain to the CCP about the negative impression this is leaving on Chinese companies. Genshin Impact is highly favoured by the government for the positive press it gives the country, and putting pressure on the 'big daddy' is FAR more likely to make Hoyoverse buckle.

As of right now, the petition has nearly 38k signatures.

2. EMAIL HOYOVERSE

Email them directly at genshin_cs@hoyoverse.com to state how this has affected your desire to continue playing their games.

3. USE THE IN-GAME SURVEY OR FEEDBACK

Genshin Impact has frequent update surveys, and there is a permanent option to give feedback at any time. You can find it in the Paimon Menu.

4. REVIEW BOMB

Rate Hoyoverse's games, particularly Genshin, with one star on the app store. This has already proven in the past to have an effect, when this caused the team to review the anniversary rewards.

5. POST IN OFFICIAL HOYOVERSE ACCOUNTS' COMMENTS

Do not be silent! Speak up about your displeasure. It's important that these comments outweigh the rest! Show that we are the MAJORITY.

6. SPEAK UP

WHAT SHOULD I NOT DO?

The following actions should NOT be taken:

DO NOT spend money on Hoyoverse games.

DO NOT sent threats, to voice actors OR customer service staff.

DO NOT engage with trolls or racists. Block and report.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

It's easy to dismiss this in the face of 'more important' issues in the world at the moment, but Genshin Impact (And by extension, Hoyoverse) is a very influential game and company. It is extremely popular, and directly influences MANY other games and players through this popularity.

This isn't an issue of 'just stop playing'- This is not anger for a game's decisions, it's anger for a precedent. It's a demand that not only should Hoyoverse care about representation, but other, smaller, companies too. If Hoyoverse can get away with it, so can others- But if Hoyoverse is held accountable for their exploitation of culture, then it sets the precedent that other companies have no chance of doing the same.

Like it or not, Hoyoverse has a lot of influence, and the CCP itself values the company for giving China a positive image in other countries. This is bigger than just being mad at character design.

EDIT: It was also pointed out to me that if POC were to simply stop engaging with hostile content, they would have nothing left. 'Just stop playing' isn't fair, plain and simple. POC deserve to play the things that they enjoy WITHOUT being ostracized.

DOES HOYOVERSE LISTEN?

They listen if there's no money lining their pockets, they listen if their reputation is damaged, and they listen if the CCP gets involved. We have direct evidence of this.

Review bombing alone caused Hoyoverse to reconsider the first anniversary rewards.

The CCP forced Hoyoverse to reskin various characters to comply with their laws, which HYV did. (This isn't necessarily a good thing, however, it is still evidence that CCP has influence over them.)

This is by far the largest outcry the company has seen so far, and MANY of HYV's voice actors have spoken out in support for the movement as well. This is not just playerbase complaints, but staff, too.

I recommend following AvenOfStrats on X/Twitter for further updates on the petition's progress, and on other ways to contribute. They also share plenty of resources on why this is important, and guides on how to complain.

Patiently hoping hoyoverse never makes Dan Heng have to go back to the shackling prison after the war dance arc. Plz these voicelines are making it impossible to keep the story going with how much it's breaking my heart 🙏🙏

Hoyo playing into a character's evilness and not downplaying it is so refreshing and I will forever love that. And NO I'm not condoning her behavior.

Jade is selfish, manipulative and downright sinister. It plays well into the symbolism of her representing the snake that tempts Eve. She is sin itself and it works so well.

I really hope hoyo doesn't give her a sob story. But it also makes sense for her to have a complicated past since she is a multifaceted character. Idk I just hope the story does her justice.

FUN FACT: when I first saw siobhan, i genuinely thought she was a fruity man. Then i realized she was infact just a gorgeous lady. Which is what led to this.

Okay so 2.3 SP dropped and we get to see Jade's gameplay! She's so beautiful omg. But I also noticed something.

Am I the only one who feels like there's a connection between Jade and Vyn from ToT?? Both of them have the infinity symbol representing them. Vyn's alias is 'Adjudicator' which is also a role that Jade technically has as an IPC stoneheart. Their personalities also have quite a few similarities in my opinion.

Maybe I'm looking too deep into this and it's probably at most just a small Easter egg. Either way I think it's really cool and I'm so excited!!!!

GALLAGHER AND SUNDAY HOLY SHI-

From what I've noticed, sparkle spoke slower than the way real sampo usually would and was rather deliberate to frame her words in a way that was close to the real sampo but not entirely.

Even though sampo is a very unserious person in most conversations, sparkle leaned in a bit too much into that which made the conversations somewhat distinct from the real sampo.

This detail is again pointed out in the companion quest where sparkle says sampo is on the more serious side of the masked fools, which is pretty interesting and might explain why sparkle impersonated sampo in the way that she did in that she wants to see sampo be more unserious.

I feel like this is reiterated by the voice acting, where fake sampo had slower and a slightly forced way of speech compared to real sampo.

All in all, the VA did amazing and I'm really interested to see how the story unfolds.

Regarding the story and whatnot. I'm gonna have to listen to the dialogue again later. Tbh I was too busy gushing over Mr. Rose's voice in general and the fact that "Sampo" was there to notice the differences between how he speaks and how Sparkle portrayed him! I was blinded by love and deceived so easily 😩

Honestly given the heavy Honkai impact 3rd references in the newest planet I personally think Himeko should stay put nice and safe in the express we do not need a repeat of last time

True Neutral individuals do their best to avoid siding too strongly with any one force, whether that force is good or evil, lawful or chaotic. For this reason, True Neutral personalities sometimes find themselves drawn into rather peculiar alliances, friendships, and life paths. To a great extent, they side with the underdog, sometimes even changing sides as the previous loser becomes the winner. Such people often see good, evil, chaos, and laws as simply prejudices that lead to dangerous extremes.
