I didn't think I could be more attracted to one of Richie's characters than I am to Kremy, but then I started Icebound and Jornir showed up...

Made an Icebound bowl in the last pottery class I did, and it’s finally end of term so I can share it :)

I took some creative liberties with color choice of course, since I only had so many glaze colors to work with, but I tried to match it to the “Drakkar Calls” design.

i kinda liked how it look more pre-firing, since the colors were brighter, but unfortunately thats just how glaze is. but i do think the inside like, northern lights, only being able to be seen under bright lights/a flashlight adds a nice touch.

Can anyone generously donate me like 900 dollars for the full Crooked Moon box?

Well I was going to draw the “why does ___ call you babygirl?” meme w/ taishen and skrimm but I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to rationalise skrimm being able to be seen at the angle I started the drawing with! So here, have a taishen doodle on the house.

What can I say, I have a thing for morally dubious goblins! Sorry it’s just a sketch but I’m going on 3 cups of coffee and no sleep so it’s the best I got.

Characters that haunt the narrative. Not in a deep, sad way. Like how Sausage haunts the narrative in Icebound Side Story 3. It's the Second coming of Sausage. They won't stop talking about how young he was. Their kid brother. Only 42. Killed by a horrible bug monster.

I’m just sitting here trying to watch Icebound Side Story 2, and instead I get jump-scared by smooth Derek

I am SCRAMBLING to finish Icebound for the new session on Saturday but I'm on episode 23 and super busy so I probably won't make it. Hopefully I can finish before the vod is gone from twitch to see the Avantris and Chill and stuff but idk about this one

Icebound episode 12 and 13 spoilers

I feel like in Icebound the Avantris crew is just slightly less chaotic than, say, OUAW or Uprooted, but then they get kidnapped by Ogres and immediately decide to convince them they're gods from Ogre Heaven and come up with elaborate names and titles. I'm still in shock that Andy, after missing the previous session, wakes up as Skrimm and immediately ALSO tries to convince the ogres that he sees that he's a god, but with far less luck. How did they ALL do that?

I have watched less than an hour of Icebound but I already would die for all of these characters

Skrimm - has an account on most platforms, but hardly posts on any of them. Likely has a private instagram or private Twitter he uses mostly to complain or make fun of his friends. Doesn't post at all on tiktok, but knows a few too many niche references to pretend he doesn't use it. Prefers shorts or reels but ultimately doesn't doomscroll as often as you'd think.

Queenie - has an account on most platforms like Skrimm, except she does post on a few of them. Mostly her tiktok and Instagram. She posts beekeeping videos and gardening tips, and people love her for her southern charm and raunchy sense of humor. Occasionally posts a hunting video with a really clickbait-y title for fun. Has a Tumblr!

Taishen - has a personal tiktok account he never posts on, and a Serenitea account thats almost entirely managed by Mei Li at this point. In turn, he runs his Facebook like the navy, ALWAYS updating it with new blends and all the fun he's having abroad.

Barnabos - only has Facebook and Twitter, only uses Facebook to keep track of his sailing buddies and Twitter to keep track of Skrimm. Only posts to reply to people, or to post ridiculously dangerous photos of sea monsters he's fighting

Jornir - barely knows how to use his camera app. If he has any social media, it's entirely Queenie's fault, and he never posts on it himself. If you look at his gallery it's full of pictures of birds, plants, the most gorgeous candid landscape shots you've ever seen, and blurry pictures of his friends. He has 4 photos of himself in there: one stealthily taken by Queenie, one properly taken by Taishen, and two accidental selfies that he hates. Has a Tumblr... Which is again Queenie's fault

I always forget I can post fics onto Tumblr. Anyway, have these two (both Taishen-centric for some reason)

(Spoilers for episodes 14/15-ish of Icebound, it diverges from canon but there's still some spoilers)

Make it up to you - word count: 2,162

AO3 Summary: "Ever since he messed up only a night or so ago by not keeping an eye on that child and falling asleep when he was supposed to be on watch, Taishen was struggling to find ways to make it up to them. It weighed on the back of his mind endlessly, repeating the disappointed statements of his friends' and his own regrets.

Now, however, Taishen realized he had a decision to make, and it wasn’t a difficult one anymore (not that it would have been before). His eyes were keenly watching the action, and could tell when a magical attack was about to strike, headed right for a distracted Skrimm.

He could make up for his mistake here and now. (Even if he almost dies in the process)"

In which I felt bad for Taishen having tried his best to save this child - the one job he was given while they were gone - and then his friends return and basically tell him what a bad job he did and he just forgets that he even tried and so I wanted to do something about it.

I'll Be Fine - word count: 2,679

AO3 Summary: "It’d barely been 30 minutes since they’d come to a decision. Jornir had left with Skrimm and Queenie after seeing something in his vision that he hadn’t elaborated on. Whatever it’d been, it had urged him to join them - though he’d been insistent on Taishen and especially Barnabos staying behind. And Taishen was more than alright with that. He was no medicine man like Jornir was, but he at least wanted to stick around to make sure that Barnabos was alright."

Aka, I needed an excuse to write about Barnabos and Taishen and so I wrote this for some reason. (Featuring more unnecessary canon divergence that changes nothing and is just for plot convenience!)

The girls leave the rest of the party for a few episodes, and suddenly the boys are like “what if we commit several crimes and almost certainly get our friends killed.”

I absolutely adore Skrimm and Jornir throwing the bouquet at each other!!! I love it when Jornir is all silly!!!!

Maybe vague icebound spoilers for most recent episodes (34-ish??? I can’t remember)

If it’s not obvious from my reblogs today I just finished catching up to Icebound and I am. I don’t know what there is to say but I need it to continue even though it wasn’t that long since the last episode - I am going crazy

Anyway, missing Queenie in the campaign, too, she’s going to be so disappointed when she gets back and learns of what they’ve done, lmao. I wonder what her and Daisy have been up to.

I don’t know why but I love Jornir and Skrimm’s dynamic right now, they’re just so interesting to me - and Taishen and Barnabos, too, intrigue me

Anyway, that’s it. I don’t know what else to say I just love Icebound and its crazy cast of characters, I’m so glad I caught up finally - it was so worth it
