If you continue to use they/them after learning that they don't use it. You are misgendering them.
They/them is misgendering if you know their pronouns (and it doesn't include they/them)

So, you may have heard that Tumblr is using people’s art to train AI. It does this by taking any images people upload, and feeding them to the AI for training.
So I made a little thing you can use to defend against this. It might not be SUPER effective, but it’ll at least slow things down and hurt the overall effectiveness of AIs trained on it.
This is my anti-AI image. It’s designed to clog up the training of the AI by being mass reblogged / uploaded.
To understand how this works, you first have to understand how AI image generation works. The AI is trained on a massive amount of images, and learns to reproduce images that are similar.
Now, we want to make a significant portion of the AI’s training data consist of this image. If we do this, then the AI will struggle to generate art effectively, as it won’t have as much viable training data. Instead it’ll be more likely to just generate an image similar to this one.
Reblog it to spread the word, but be sure to take a screenshot or download the image instead, rather than just reblogging. That way it counts it as a new image, and feeds it to the AI again.

i would say your good within the whole 'location identify' thing as long as your in a big city or place with lots of individuals and away from where you actually live- ex: parks, businesses, EMPTY parking lots (cars have much more identity then you think), docks, even statues (remember the city bit though- i heavily would not do if its a town or smaller as theres much more chances of you being identified)

PSA for Moon Helios
For all those who read Moon Helios I would like to say this. Y/n is not the greatest person. She’s morally grey at best and she’s not the most merciful soul. She is a trained soldier from the moment she was eight, (There will be a flash back in the next chapter.) She is a broken person who has a strong heart. Her fury gets the better of her and she’s down right cruel to people sometimes. As the story continues u would like to note that she does some questionable things. One of the reasons Aleksander falls so madly in love with her (eventually) is because they are so alike in nature. However Y/n is not the monster she sees herself as. I just wanted it to be stated before any continues to read because their will be many trigger warnings for many of the things Y/n does. Personally I quite like a darker!reader but that is not to everyone’s taste. However I do hope you enjoy the next chapter coming out soon.
Would tags like "photosensitive"/ "photosensitive warning" or "flashing lights warning" work out and what other tags should we use as well to prevent this from happening?
I don't have any posts regarding flashing lights, but if I happen to post something like that in the future, I want to make sure I'm tagging appropriately

I go into the tag for epilepsy and its all flashing lights. We can’t use our own tag because people without epilepsy fill it up with improper warnings.
Use ‘flashing’ in place of ‘epilepsy’ in your tags. You aren’t warning people of epileptics, you’re warning us of flashing lights. Please please tag properly. Epileptics say this endlessly and constantly and it’s ignored. You are risking lives by doing this.

A PSA about what to do about online predators
As many know, the internet can be home to some of the best people one can meet. But it can also be home to some of the worst people.
Aka, Pedophiles and Zoophiles (For those who do not know what they mean; pedophiles are adults who are attracted to minors, zoophiles are people with a sexual attraction towards animals.)
Everything that is wrong about social media and the internet is multiplied by 10 trillion thanks to these individuals. If you or a loved one are a victim or witness of a pedo/zoo; Please do the following.
*Take screenshots and gather evidence against pedos/zoos
*Give the evidence to the police or the proper authorities. In the event you are unable to do so, post the evidence online so the truth can be spread
*If you were able to give evidence to the police, make sure that they arrest the individual(s) in question.
I am being 100% serious when I say this. You, your friends and loved ones do not need to become victims of pedophiles/zoophiles. Spread the word about these individuals and stay safe.
just an FYI, 4ch*n trolls are using the Ukraine crisis as a means to stoke antiblack racism on Twitter. In 2014, Russia annexed a part of Ukraine (Crimea) and since then has been funding and arming Pro-Russian separatist and terrorist groups that have seized Donbas, an eastern region in Ukraine. Russia has been funding a civil war in Ukraine, essentially. Recently, the separatist groups have been sending civilian women, children and elderly out of Ukraine and into Russia, but leaving fighting-age men inside. These separatist are directly controlled by Kremlin (the government of Russia) and they are how Russia has been leading a proxy war on Ukraine since 2014.
But now, Russia has sent their own troops in, which is an invasion. They are doing it under the pretence of ‘peacekeeping’, but this is an obvious lie.
Russia accuses Ukraine of aggressing on Donbas and on Russia, prompting the war on Russia and conducting genocide on its own people. None of this is true. Russia is the one arming Pro-Russian terrorists in Ukraine, Russia has been surrounding and provoking Ukraine with military, and is the one that has been spreading misleading historically-inaccurate disinformation. It’s what Russia did in Georgia in 2008 and similar to what Germany did in Poland in 1939.

i know it can be disheartening to work so slowly when it seems like everyone around you works so fast and churns out great content left and right. i know it's easy to get frustrated with yourself for having to spend so much time on one thing and sometimes it's hard to stay motivated long enough to finish. but the things you make are so good, and taking lot of time on something isn't a bad thing. creation can be a very painstaking process, but the amount of love and care and effort and attention you pour into your work bleeds through. people can feel it. they appreciate it. they see how hard you try and they see how your thoughtful approach to creation affects the quality of the end product. speed is definitely a skill you can develop and chances are as you practice more and get more comfortable with things, you'll be able to work faster. but no matter what, the things you make are worth waiting for. keep creating! you are wonderful!

Anti-ship culture is opening an incognito tab to scroll the proshipper tags of a fandom and blocking people on a separate tag while also finding it funny how they're actually making this content unironically and acting like it's somehow cute/romantic (it's really not)
Bonus points if you see your own ships that you thought were fine (and they are) there and getting scared before realizing that some proshippers don't ONLY ship icky stuff and feeling almost offended that they would dare also ship the thing you like

fuck it. be creative even if you never really *make* anything. write out plot synopses of stories and then move on. design OCs you'll never use. make mood boards and concept art and don't do anything with them. life's too short to forget everything that inspired you and creation doesn't have to be "complete" to be worth the time you put into it.
Picture this, you're stressed out because Covid and climate change finds you out of a job and now you can't pay for dental work so as you listen to the hold music to the dental clinic to cancel your wisdom teeth surgery you log into tumblr to calm your nerves only to be greeted by a Destiel meme informing you that the word flashing is banned and you realise fellow tumblr users can't use a warning for post that could trigger your epilepsy. Imagine this, you're now afraid and there's nothing you can do, no tag to filter out, no warning to safe you.

They have either spam lettered usernames or those basic ones they give you when you first make an account. It’s always the accounts with users villigantskyyodeler or ldlfjkd124. Not all accounts who use the suggested names or keyboard smashes are like this, of course.
They have an empty or undecorated blog, or have reblogged another bot’s spam. Again, not all empty blogs are like this, but from what I’ve noticed, the blogs are always the default.
They post a random letter or post an unrelated gif in your community. This is them getting their link ready to post, so this will disappear in a minute or two. If you see this in time, it’s best to immediately block and report the post!
Look out for these things, and if you have anything to add, let me know! It wouldn’t be a great idea to click the link either (I don’t care how horny you are lol). If you own a community and constantly see bots come in, it’s best to make your community to where people have to request to join, then you can watch out for these things! And, to the people who might have 1 and 2 and get denied entry to their community, I suggest decorating your blog and messaging them!
