How long have you played guitar? Could you give us some advice :) I would like to audition for Voice of Moritz for the tour but I've never played guitar

I’ve been playing for 13 years.

Honestly, if you want to audition for Voice of Moritz, you need to start playing guitar immediately. At the risk of being blunt, it would pretty difficult to get to the skill level required by the time auditions rolled around. (And before anyone asks, I have absolutely NO clue when that would be.)

It’s a broadway score, and you need to play perfectly. I played three different guitars (6 string acoustic, 12 string acoustic, electric 6 string), and almost every song in the show. So you’d also need to learn three dramatically different styles of playing.

That, on its own, is a huge amount of work. Combine that with acting, speaking, and singing Moritz at the same time, while coordinating with another actor, and it’s a pretty challenging task.

That said, nothing is impossible. If you want something, go after it. PRACTICE. Practice HARD. Get a guitar. Get a book that teaches you how to read music. 

Look at you. You’ve come so far. You may not realize it but you really have. You’re alive right? Isn’t that a celebration? I’m so proud if you. You’re doing great. I love you.

What is a good way to support your LGBTQ friends when you're a straight ally? I'm finding that they think that I don't understand or that I'm trying to be cool or with the flow. How can I help them, you know in light with what's happened?

Honestly, as a straight ally, you truly will never completely understand their experience. And that’s ok! It’s important to acknowledge that. As an ally, the best thing to do is educate yourself on issues. Offer support when support is asked for. If someone speaks ill of a member of the LGBTQIA+ community or just speaks ill of the community in general, don’t stand by and say nothing. Sometimes the best thing to do is say, “Just know, if you need someone, I’m here for you.” And leave it at that, because it’s important to not make this about you. Many people in this community are in pain, especially right now, and it can not be their responsibility to also try to make you feel better. Being an ally means showing support even when there hasn’t been a tragedy. And it means finding ways to help even when no one is there to see you do so. If you believe, in your heart of hearts, that you are doing your best to change your own mentality and you’re doing what you can to offer support, then that will no doubt shine through to others as time goes by. Thank you for asking, because I can truly see you trying to better yourself, and that’s all that can be asked for.

Okay but on some serious shit for those in the lgbtqia+ community or an ally of the community that are out here pushing people out of the closet because it's your belief that everyone should be out and proud, while yes I understand people should be proud to be themselves and love who they are with no restraints it also is not up to you. If someone is not comfortable or safe to come out you should comfort them and stay by them till they are strong enough to let that side out, not push them into a situation were they can fall into a depressive state or even receive physical, emotional, or mental harm. By forcing someone out of the closet you could be putting them in harms way so please if you have a friend or family member that is lgbtqia+ please wait for them to come out at their own time and reassure them you'll be here for every step of the way.

I found an app that claims to be a TWD app with “over 800 hand-picked stories.”

I was looking around and you immediately notice that there are some that are locked. I looked for my own name (as you do)

And was like “huh”. Interesting. 

But then I saw

Sooo what the fuck? They get paid (hopefully not many people use this app!) to unlock stories that I didn’t give permission for, when they’re hosted on AO3 for free?  I looked and they have a few other “fanfic apps”….

So I don’t know how to go about getting my stories taken off- or even if that’s possible. Maybe some of the people on here were contacted, but I highly doubt it. I don’t even care if they make money off the ads as much as I’m irked someone potentially paid them for works they didn’t create.. er if that makes sense.

oh hey! just found out that my mother went to court recently to fight against our VERY shitty scummy landlord and she was very vague about how it went because he somehow won (at the moment, still havi things being processed or. however court works, but he was granted his thing by the big snooty court bitches so yeah.) and we might actually be getting evicted because hes an ass so theres a chance 2025 is the year where we go homeless! fun! keep in mind im just under 18 and am disabled (autism, adhd, tics disorder, something possibly chronic going on i dont know my legs hurt and i use a cane) so... possibly i might be hashtag fucked since the only person who is here for me physically is my Christian mother! fun fact, not as good of a thing as you'd hope or think!
