They are already selling data to midjourney, and it's very likely your work is already being used to train their models because you have to OPT OUT of this, not opt in. Very scummy of them to roll this out unannounced.

There's one charity that I haven't seen shared here personally, and that's Care for Gaza.
They're shared a lot on twitter as a reputable on-the-ground relief source. You can donate to their gofundme to help their efforts here.
“But I’m just one person” WRONG “me buying a drink from starbucks won’t make a difference” WRONG “I’m not able to donate so I can’t help Palestine” WRONG “posting doesn’t matter” WRONG “boycotting won’t actually do anything” WRONG “it’s the government that’s funding the genocide, so I don’t have a way to help” WRONG
In Gaza, journalists are passing out from exhaustion and famine. Despite the ICJ ruling, the US and Australia are intentionally defunding UNWRA based on baseless claims by Israel that members of the aid group are Hamas-sympathizers. Netanyahu, of course, has ignored the ICJ ruling. Israel has banned insulin pens from arriving in Gaza, a particularly cruel and inhumane crime to add to their laundry list of offences. Nothing has changed, and things are getting worse.
It is not that hard to not buy things. To not watch things. Perhaps it is inconvenient, and makes you go out of your way, and costs a little more to buy alternatives. But if you were to attend a funeral a day for every child that has died in Gaza so far, it would take you over 27 years. When the worst that will happen to you is that you don't watch a TV show featuring a zionist, you don't buy a specific brand that donates to and supports zionism, how could that possibly compare to the plight of Palestinians who must amputate limbs without anesthesia?
Once again, this is the BDS list of brands to boycott.
Here is a comprehensive post about more actions you can take in support of Palestine.
Here is a list of verifiable orgs that provide aid on the ground.
Care for Gaza:non-profit charity that distributes money, food and other resources directly to families in Gaza. They maintain a regular presence on Twitter and Instagram. You can donate to them via Paypal here.
PCRF / Palestine Children's Relief Fund: non-profit organisation that distributes essential food and resources to families in Gaza. Most recently, they delivered 30 tons of vital medicine, and 82,000 pounds of flour.
Medical Aid For Palestinians: deploys medical teams to treat Palestinians suffering under Israel's malicious bombardments.
Donate e-sims to Palestine: massive post with tutorials and relevant links, with discount codes included in the post and in the replies.
Direct Aid: humanitarian fund distributing supplies such as blankets and winter jackets directly to Palestinian families.

Save Amjad Saher and his family (Gofundme)
Help a family of 13 escape Gaza (Gofundme)
Help a Palestinian children's book illustrator save her family of 12 (Gofundme)
Today, tomorrow and until Israel faces justice for their crimes, learn how to prioritise Palestine over your own comfort.

Handala (حنظلة) is a symbol of Palestinian resistance. He was created in 1969 by political cartoonist Naji al-Ali, critical of Israel as well as Arab regimes.
Handala is 10 years old, the age Naji was when he was forced to leave his home during the 1948 Nakba, and is always seen from his turned back. Today, Handala is still 10 years old. On the day Handala is able to return home, he will then grow up and be seen from the front.
Naji died on August 29, 1987, victim of an assassination. Naji lives on through Handala.
Bisan with a gazan cat. Beautiful pattern and smile.
wont be on social media due to the global strike happening this week. please make an effort to help the families in gaza by:
• avoid going to the store, restaurants, or to the movies. the goal is to be disruptive, hit the economy and be noticeably absent.
• using social media ONLY to spread posts about palestine. don’t use apps otherwise. let palestinian content flood the online world during strike days. only engage w/ palestine related content.
• be visible — make signs, set up posters on ur window sill, hand out stickers, let the world know.
if you can’t do it all, that is fine!
every little thing matters and will count towards the strike. stay safe and see you soon! 🍉

yall better be just as outraged about this as you were about notre dame
𝐈𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐑𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐍𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐌𝐄𝐍𝐓! Don't go after anybody who you think might be breaking these rules. Quietly DM your concerns to me and I will handle it myself.
There is a heart wrenching video of a father who went to buy biscuits for his son only to return and find out his son and the man's wife had both been killed by an Israeli air strike. He is seen putting the pack of biscuits in his son's hand and saying "take it with you to heaven".
There is an indescribable pain to all of this, and I don't know what Israel thinks it's doing by ripping everyone's heart out like this if not to make the whole world resent the mere mention of it.
I don't think the question we should be asking at this point is "how do you justify this?" anymore, even if rhetorically. We need to understand that it is simply irrational to expect an occupying power that built itself on ethnic cleansing to provide any means of reasoning.
This is genocide, you don't debate genocide and you don't rationalise genocide.
I don't care what you do, but speaking about Palestine doesn't suffice anymore. Speak louder, force people to have uncomfortable conversations, call whoever the heck your representative is, go out to rallies if you can, push others to do the same - this is unlike anything we have seen.
bisan has just posted a video that israel has lit up the sky, signalling they will bomb tonight, and that she has nowhere to go. she is in khan yunis--the south, where she was told to go to.
you can hear planes overhead as she speaks.
she wants israel to finally admit the truth--they do not want palestinians to go to "safe" parts of gaza, they want people to leave entirely and recreate the 1948 nakba.
please spread the word, please keep bisan in your thoughts, and do not let this happen in silence.
I make references to afterlife because in times of crisis like this, it comforts me. But I’d like to mention no matter what you believe in, your empathy is needed. And your voice matters.
here’s your reminder that israel has indeed violated the truce. their warplanes have entered the sky space of gaza (reported by hind khoudary & muhammad smiry)
and oppressive forces have also shot at a palestinian man and left him to bleed. then opened fire on anyone who approached the man to help (reported by motaz). there are also testimonies from palestinians that the israeli forces themselves encouraged the people to go help the injured man and then opened fire at them (motaz).
israeli forces have also blocked the entrance of a hospital in jenin, and have killed 3 people and injured 6 others in an open fire during their raid of jenin in the west bank (QudsNews)
meanwhile, israeli hostages that have been released had been forbidden from giving interviews (QudsNews) and there have since been reports that the hostages confirmed they were treated humanely and were not assaulted (source 1, source 2, more healthy israeli hostages)
this ceasefire truly didn’t mean anything. and israel and palestinian resistance clearly do not operate on the same field nor with a balance in power. even during a “truce” they are still oppressing victims.
keep speaking up. contact your reps. protest. boycott following bds guidelines. publicly condemn israel. start conversations and raise awareness. educate yourself and educate others. listen to palestinian voices.
amplify palestinian voices.
in light of a four day ceasefire in Gaza being agreed upon, i am once again asking you all not to lose sight of the big picture. Biden and the Israeli Government are trying to frame this as a major democratic victory and as a favor respectively. they have no intention of a total ceasefire. they have no intention of stopping their genocide. remember - a ceasefire is the very first step. it’s not even the bare minimum.
the absolute bare minimum in this situation is 1) a complete ceasefire and immediate humanitarian aid in Gaza, 2) complete halt of all military foreign aid to the Israeli government, 3) the Israeli government being prosecuted for its war crimes in the International Criminal Court, and 4) land back and reparations for the Palestinian people. free Palestine means free Palestine, not just temporarily stop carpet bombing Palestine.
a temporary ceasefire is something, but it’s not even close to the end goal. we cannot let up pressure when things seem to be looking up. keep protesting, boycotting, spreading awareness, contacting politicians, etcetera. keep your eyes on Gaza. free Palestine.
"Why is Gaza’s al-Shifa Hospital so important for the Israeli army?
The largest hospital in the besieged enclave already faced shortages before Israeli forces blew up its medicine warehouse.
Ever since the Israeli army’s strikes on the Gaza Strip began after the October 7 Hamas attack, the al-Shifa Hospital in the northern part of the besieged enclave has been prominently featured in the news.
For the past five days, it has been at the centre of everything as Gaza’s death toll has risen, with more than 11,500 Palestinians, nearly half of them children, killed by Israeli forces.
The significance of al-Shifa Hospital is beyond the medical.
The storied medical complex, whose name translates into “House of Healing”, has been described as the beating heart of Gaza.
It has been there since the time of the British rule over Palestine and became a hospital in 1946 after originally housing British army barracks. It has survived several wars and many years of Israeli occupation.
Since last month, it has been denied urgently needed supplies of medicine and fuel – and that was before Israeli troops broke in and blew up its dwindling stores of medicine.
Hospital staff had to bury dozens of people in a mass grave on the grounds as they were out of options. Dead bodies lie around its courtyard still.
Beyond that, al-Shifa is seen as a nerve centre for the Gaza government’s administrative bodies. Health ministry officials have held press conferences amid the corpses there, and the government’s media ministry has operated out of the hospital.
Al-Shifa kept its internet connectivity at times when the rest of Gaza was cut off by Israel, so it has also been a hot spot for journalists, some of whom are trapped there now. The hospital’s director and its doctors and staff have been providing constant updates whenever possible, often rejecting Israeli claims – like one on Wednesday that it had allowed aid into the hospital.
Israel wants to dismantle the hub that al-Shifa has become and take over what it has said it sees as the stronghold of Hamas’s military and administrative capabilities. What happens to the hospital could also have an impact on the future of negotiations on releasing captives and allowing desperately needed humanitarian aid and fuel into Gaza.
The Israeli army has spent the past several days gradually tightening its noose around the hospital.
As part of its ground offensive into northern Gaza, it came in and surrounded the largest hospital in the Strip with soldiers, tanks, armoured vehicles, and attack drones supported by snipers.
The Israeli troops have now made their way into the hospital and raided several departments. They set up electronic checkpoints at multiple doors of the main buildings. Their tanks are in the courtyard.
This is while thousands of people are still trapped in the hospital. These include many displaced Palestinians taking shelter there, critically ill patients with nowhere to go, and exhausted medical staff and personnel.
According to first-hand accounts, Israeli troops targeted generators and communications units before storming in, and they also interrogated dozens of stripped and blindfolded people who already had their access to water and basic hygiene cut off.
Israel’s main supporting claim for laying siege to the most important hospital in Gaza is that Hamas has a main command centre operating from within and under the hospital.
This is a claim that has also been backed by the US, prompting Hamas to hold Washington “wholly responsible” for effectively giving the green light to attack a hospital filled with civilians.
Neither Tel Aviv nor the White House have released any independently verified evidence to back this claim, which has been refuted by a number of the doctors and staff at the hospital.
And there has been no clear evidence that a number of the captives taken by Hamas during its October 7 attack are being held within the confines of the hospital.
Israel has also failed to allow any independent third parties into the area in order to verify claims by each side. Such heavily disputed claims have historically ended up unproven.
Reminder that boycotting DOES work, there is historic proof! Don't let anyone discourage you otherwise!
The BDS movement uses the historically successful method of targeted boycotts inspired by the South African anti-apartheid movement, the US Civil Rights movement, the Indian anti-colonial struggle, among others worldwide.
We must strategically focus on a relatively smaller number of carefully selected companies and products for maximum impact. Companies that play a clear and direct role in Israel’s crimes and where there is real potential for winning, as was the case with, among others, G4S, Veolia, Orange, Ben & Jerry’s and Pillsbury. Compelling such huge, complicit companies, through strategic and context-sensitive boycott and divestment campaigns, to end their complicity in Israeli apartheid and war crimes against Palestinians sends a very powerful message to hundreds of other complicit companies that “your time will come, so get out before it’s too late!”
Pray, tell people about this et cetera do whatever you can do online and offline
