You know, I felt like revisiting some old art, and seeing how much I’ve grown over time. I’m actually pretty proud of how much I’ve managed to grow into my own style and abilities. 24th March 2023

Damn this was turbulent year and I learned so much about art. I improved my anatomy and my shading (that one A LOT) and I think i made some pretty awsome pieces (aaaaaaand as usual some really cringy ones but pshhhhhht)

You guys do NOT understand the mental strain i got from looking up my old 2020 art it was...so weird, and not in a silly fun way but...problematic controversial way, legit i got fucking flashbanged by one of my ocs wearing a..swastika symbol on their sweater like- i legit got no words for it, granted i was 11 at that time and i didnt know shit about what the 3R did because they dont teach those in my elementary/middle school, and i learned about nazi germany from countryhumans of ALL places so i thought its quirky and edgy not knowing the actual history
If i did not change from 2020 i wouldve got flamed for that, and get cancelled and hated on rightfully because like i dont even need to ask why
Thnk god my countryhumans phase is gone to the dust, never to come back

I have not posted a drawing in forever. Um, some updates? I actually got a stylus, so my digital art is no longer the result of hours of painstaking click and drag linework in the Pages app on my iPad. So, improvement!
My family was getting ready for Halloween back in like, mid-September, so I drew the best ghosty boy.

This is my first time doing an art summary and tbh is very interesting to go back and see how much I have improved over the months and even years.
I was excited about this idea and I must say that I have so so many wonderful memories looking through those artworks I had made!

I don't think I'll ever be more thankful than I am now. It has been a tough year but a wonderful one with many opportunities and meeting amazing people! If anything I have to thank God for being with me in so many difficult moments of my life and giving me such amazing friends that I could have never imagined having! He blessed me so much and not just my talent but even at school and for being strong in my faith by telling other people about him. Thank you, God! You deserve all the praise! 🙌🏻💗✨🤍

i learned about Tim Wong who successfully and singlehandedly repopulated the rare California Pipevine Swallowtail butterfly in San Francisco. In the past few years, he’s cultivated more than 200 pipevine plants (their only food source) and gives thousands of caterpillars to his local Botanical Garden (x)
today my wisdom is: the ecological crisis of our planet is not a thing that will Suddenly destroy us sometime in the next century—it has taken decades of continuous work for our biosphere to be preserved thus far, and it will take decades more of continuous work to continue preserving it.
The apocalypse is not a single event hovering in the future bearing down on us while we sit helplessly. We are at least 150 years into an ongoing "apocalypse."
Things will continue to steadily get worse without steady action, but "augh! it's already too late to stop climate change and mass extinctions!" is specifically the worst response
