TW: murder rape sexual assault, swearing(if I forgot anything please let me know)
You know what I don't feel. Safe. And you know why? Because I am a teenage female in Turkey. Now you know what happened? The Istanbul Convention is currently not a thing. Which means there is no law or anything to stop rape, murder ect. Now I may not be the one to explain it the best or maybe my post won't make a world wide change but even if it catches one single person's attention this is a change. We are not safe here and we need help and we need it now.
With the declining of the Istanbul Convention there is literally no reason for me to not wear masculine outfits when I go out. There is nothing that stops me from fearing for my life every single second and that is SHIT. So many women dies and gets raped every day. And now they normalized it.
Do you know what happens when a woman gets raped, she faces with the questions like, what were you wearing, how were you acting, you obviously seduced the man and therefore you wanted it so you cant talk about it.
You know there are a lot of things and I am so angry about. But you know what can you do, you can support us, with raising your voice. With talking out loud. Go search what is Istanbul Convention is. Please talk about it because obviously our president and majority of politicians are not interested in human rights.
