Roberta Flack & Michael Jackson performing "When We Grow Up" on the Free to Be...You and Me children's TV special (1974).
A love and a heart that kept on giving. Even when backs were turned against him and he was given nothing in return. One of the sweetest and STRONGEST souls I know. You inspire me daily. Inspiring me to be fearless, to love more, to give more, to be who I am without any apologies. My heart is still hurting knowing what you had to endure on this earth, but you are such a blessing to me, to so many. I thank God for you. My heart, my angel. This love is for a lifetime. I love you.
Drew this from January 28 to March 8, 2024.
Since I'm a fan of Michael Jackson and his songs, I had this interesting idea of, "What if I drew Michael Jackson as a Countryhuman?" I drew it and I liked how it went. I drew the different eras of him. First, I did the young MJ when he was part of the Jackson 5 in 1969. Then, did the Thriller MJ in 1982. Finally, his mature era when he announced his This Is It concert at the O2 Arena in London, UK on March 5, 2009, 3 months before his death on June 25, 2009. *Yes I added his nose for his mature era*
I used the African American flag with black stripes for skin and white stripes for 2009 MJ when he had vitiligo that changed the pigmentation of his skin, but still has his African American heritage, just only the green canton and red stripes. It took me about 26 hours to color it in on IbisPaintX but it was worth it.
