Jared: groggily “Frida?” Frida: Hi Jared. Do you remember what happened? You were shot in the leg. Dr. Landgraab already performed the surgery. He says you’re going to be okay. Jared: And you? Are you okay? Looks like you got stitches. Frida: I’m fine. It happened so fast… some glass shattered, and I got hit in the face. Don’t worry, I’m giving a statement to the police later. We’ll get the bastard who did this to you. Jared: Don’t, Frida. Don’t tell the cops about the money. They can’t know. Frida: What? Why not? Don’t get me wrong, I’m not fond of cops, but… do you know something, Jared? Jared: I don’t know anything—and neither do you, understand? Frida: But— Madison: Oh my god, Jared!

Jared Frio: I'm sorry, Connor... I couldn’t save her. It’s all my fault.
Jared's Father: You’re a murderer, Jared. You killed your own mother! It’s all your fault!
Jared: You’re suspending me? But that’s not fair! I didn’t start the fight!
Teacher: The other kids say that you did, Jared. They’re saying it’s your fault.
Jared's Father: Why did you make me do that, Jared? It's all your fault!
Claire: This relationship is over, Jared! And it’s your fault!
Echoing voices from the past: It’s all your fault…

I actually thought about omitting this part because I don't want to scare anyone off. 😬
I will admit, this turned out to be a bit heavier/more dramatic than I intended. 😅 Sorry for the slightly darker themes than usual, but I felt like it was important to share a glimpse into Jared’s troubled backstory before going forward. He has a very deep sense of guilt and shame instilled within him that has tailed him most of his life as a result of his mother's death and his father's mistreatment of him (and it definitely plays a big role in his behavior).
