'The Maruaders' are one of the biggest bands in the world, but no one actually knows who their four members are. Moony, Wormtail, Padfoot and Prongs are names known across the whole world, but these boys have different names, identities and lives that no one is aware of.

Today, they announced their first tour. This will be the first time their seen in person.

I headcanon regulus as having really bad anxiety and I think that he doesn't feel that as bad or get weighed down by it as much when he's in his animagus form or when he's with Lily or James.

Just imagine James sitting in the common room with Lily cuddled into his side, reading a book while he talks to his friends. Then imagine a black cat sleeping in lily's lap, possibly hidden beneath a cover.

Imagine lily walking about hogwarts with regulus sleeping in her book bag. Now and then she puts her hand in the bag to remind him she's there.

Or regulus, in his cat form, sneaking into the Gryffindor Tower at night to snuggle with James without setting sirius off.

Okay I'm sure everyone's seen the headcanon about all the school mums being in love with james and heavy flirting with him at pick up infront of reg?? And reg basically shutting them down indirectly and showing off how lucky his is with his hot husband and super sweet, super cute son!?!??!

What about this with Jegulily!?!?!?!?

Imagine parents evening (parent teacher conference??) All the parents simping over the hot couple. All the dads heavy flirting with Lily and Lily's just being polite but quickly shutting them down but they just keep trying and all the mums flirting with James but he's too oblivious to notice and thinks their just being friendly.

Then reg showing up late from work and immediately kissing James and it lasts a little longer than what's acceptable in a school and whispered sweet things in James ear so now james is following his husband around like a lost puppy while they try to find their wife and ignoring all the woman who think he's been flirting with them all night.

Regulus finally finding lily and Harry and Harry running to him, excited to see his pa!! He picks Harry up and holds him on his hip, lily coming over and kissing both her husbands on the cheek and slotting herself into Regs other side and wrapping James arm over her shoulders, winking at the guys who have FINALLY BACKED OFF!!!!!

Darkness, Light and the Sun

Regulus was eleven years old the first time he met the man who would soon to be husband, James Potter, his brothers best friend. They met on the hogwarts express, sirius introduced them. It was incredibly innocent, just an older brother introducing his younger brother to his three best friends. Regulus wouldn't know it for another four years but that first time he looked at that boy, that perfect boy, with his tanned skin, his wide smile, his huge hazel eyes with those long thick eyelashes and those dimples, he fell in love.

Regulus black, the grumpy, closed off boy, fell in love with the James Potter, the boy who radiated joy.

Regulus was twelve years old when he met his wife for the first time, the girl who his boy loved. He knew of lily, the perfect muggle witch in the year above. He'd heard of her, everyone loved her, even the Proffesors who claimed she was "the smartest witch of her age". She was sweet, kind, smart, witty and strong. She was gorgeous too. With her freckles, and long straight red hair and eyes like emeralds. They were introduced by Snape, a boy regulus tolerated and Lily's best friend. For a while they were friends of a friend but over the years they grew closer. And regulus couldn't help but fall in love with Lily Evans. Who wouldn't fall in love with Lily Evans?

Regulus Black, the quiet and judgy boy, fell in love with the Lily Evans, the girl that radiated kindness.

Regulus Black was eleven the first time he fell in love and fifteen when he finally admitted it. He was sitxteen when he realised he wasn't jealous of lily because she had James, but he was jealous of them both because they had eachother and he had neither of them.

Regulus Black was eighteen when he finally realised he could have them both.

The grumpy, closed off, quiet and judgy boy was no longer that. He had found his joy and happiness in love.

They had a plan. Theyd spent days carefully constructing every detail. Everything had to work and everything would. The plan had no flaws.

Except for the fact that James wouldn't be able to help if anything went wrong.

He hadn't seen regulus in three weeks, he was due back today. If the plan had worked, regulus would be in his arms tonight. If he isn't then he's dead and James might be next.

"James? Mate? You alright?" Sirius called across the dinner table, snapping James from his thoughts. He looked up to find the entire table looking at him. His mum, dad, Sirius and Remus, Lily, Marlene and Peter. All the same look of curiosity and concern.

"I...umm- I'm not that hungry." James picked up his plate and took it to the kitchen, dropping it in the sink before climbing the stairs to his room. He opened the window, like he and Regulus had agreed and sat on the window seat, looking out into the dark winter night.

About twenty minutes later, Lily knocked on James' door and stepped inside, a hand resting ontop of her bump.

"Is he here yet?" She asked, sitting beside James and placing a hand on his knee. "He'll be here, Jamie. I can feel it."

James lay his head on his girlfriends shoulder and took her hand in his, leaving the other still on his thigh.

A black cat padded past the tree line and up the hill that led to Potter Manor. It was late now and the full house was in darkness except from the window that he had climbed through so many times as a teenager. As he got closer, he noticed two figures in the window. James and Lily. Cuddled up. Lily looked right at him and shook James awake.

They jumped up and both looked down at him with relief all over their faces as Regulus transformed.

"He's alive." Lily whispered just loud enough for regulus to hear and he began climbing the vines, the locket heavy around his neck, the loves of his life waiting for him.

I totally get what you’re saying. To get jegulus and jegulily, you have to change all their characters around.

I personally don’t like when people say Regulus was just forced into a role and he never wanted any of it though I do like seeing how people twist the story in that way. But it makes him sound like a mediocre Draco.

I think a lot of people like Jegulus because of the character depth it brings to both of them. We get to see a softer side to Regulus and how he’s just as scared as everyone else is. It teaches James that you can’t save everyone, especially when they don’t want or think they need to.

In canon, nothing about Jegulus and jegulily would work. But that’s what fan fiction is for. So we can change things or put our own theories about the characters into play.

Jegulus

I’ve seen a lot of discourse about Jegulus in this fandom and I want to give my opinion on it. Before I get into this I would like to say: no hate to any Jegulus shippers. You’re entitled to your own opinions, and I could care less about who you ship as long as it’s not pedophillia, incest, etc. This is just my opinion.

I really hate Jegulus for multiple reasons:

First off, it completely destroys their characters and makes 0 sense for both of them.

James was strongly against blood purity and the Potter family were labeled as blood traitors. He was invited to join the DE by Voldemort and declined (JKR confirmed this was 1 of the 3 ways he betrayed him.) Not to mention he betrayed Voldemort 2 other times. Plus, he was friends with Remus, a half-blood werewolf and Sirius, a blood traitor Gryffindor. Do you really think the Marauders would still be his friends if he suddenly dated a blood supremacist? Imagine if you’re a POC and your white friend dated a racist. Or if you were Jewish and your German friend dated a German N@z! supporter.

Regulus was strongly for blood purity, seeing as he made a shrine dedicated to Voldemort and the DE. This means he would’ve hated Muggleborns, half-bloods, half-breeds, and blood traitors.

Not to mention Sirius. Regulus probably loved Sirius since he asked Kreacher not to tell his family about the Horcrux, and Sirius died not knowing about it, but that doesn’t mean Regulus was a good brother when Sirius was still around. In his youth, Sirius would’ve hated Regulus because of Walburga and Orion’s favoritism. The Potters took Sirius in and James adopted Sirius as a brother. He would’ve hated Regulus because of the way Sirius talked about him. And considering that Sirius hated Regulus as kids, he would be very hurt and angry with James if he suddenly got in a relationship with him.

Second off, Jegulus and Jily can’t work in the same timeline. Lily would never go out with James if he dated a blood supremacist before her. If a white guy asked me to date him, and I knew he dated a white racist before me, I would be horrified and shocked and immediately say no.

And don’t even get me started on the HC about a poly relationship between Lily, James, and Regulus. I’m sorry, but that’s a very disgusting HC to have. Muggleborns are an allegory for Jewish people and DE are an allegory for N@z!s. It’s just like Dramione/Drarry, just Marauders Era edition.

The only way I can see Jegulus or a poly relationship between Regulus, James, and Lily working is in an AU where Regulus was always good, but that still changes him entirely and throws away anything canon about him.

I think a lot of people use Jegulus as a way to give Regulus a better redemption arc. But honestly, using love as a redemption arc doesn’t work and is just lazy writing. We see this with Snily and even Grindledore, to an extent. I think Regulus should’ve been given a better redemption arc but using Jegulus to do so makes no sense and isn’t a good way to fix JKR’s terrible try at a redemption without obsession.

If only You Give Love a Bad Name by Bon Jovi came out a decade earlier. James would sing it every time Lily rejected him. When him and Reg broke up he would listen to it non stop for three days straight.

Hear me out, I know people hc James being tall, but Sirius and him give off such short king vibes together.

Like, people don’t really think of him as short because he’s BUILT, but the moment him and Sirius are together (which is always), it’s like he loses a couple inches.

He’s still taller than Lily and Regulus (cus I’m a slut for Jegulus and Jegulily🤪) , which makes them angry because it’s only like half an inch and James constantly reminds them of it.

i love prongstail, i love prongsfoot, i love jegulus, i love jily, i love wolfstarbucks, i love jegulily, i love moonchaser, i love james potter shipped with literally ANYONE.

that man is SO full of love any ship with him in it is completely capable in my mind.

imagine sirius monopolizing the "reg" nickname for regulus and absolutely 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 to let anyone else use it, but james really wants a nickname for regulus,

so he ropes lily into helping him brainstorm one

james, whispering breathlessly: and i would fill my every textbook with poetries for you, but i'm afraid you've already stolen my words with your mere presence

jegulily date headcanons

regulus, lily and james having date competitions where they try to take the other two out on the most fun dates

lily has deffinitely taken them on a grocery shopping date at 3am (they totaly rode shopping carts through the store and parking lot)

james has taken them to a mcdonalds in 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 fancy dresses (lily wore a suit tho, with a tail-coat and they all looked 𝘮𝘢𝘨𝘯𝘪𝘧𝘪𝘤𝘦𝘯𝘵)

regulus took them to a museum, where they imitated some old paintings and marveled at exhibits and goofed around

lily took them through a car-wash where james stared through the car windows in absolute awe, while regulus watched everything with rapt curiousity (and lily watched them)

james got them dressed as ghosts with bedsheets and sunglasses and took them to a park (they might've scared some kids, but it wasn't too bad)

regulus 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘺 has set up a picnic date for them three, with some of their favourite foods (it was very sweet)

james took them frog catching once, they all got a bit muddy and it started raining but they all had a lot of fun (the very few frogs caught were released 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 quickly)

lily took them on a movie date to a drive-in theater (it was a horror movie and james was terrified, but reg and lily thought the movie was funny and comforted him)

regulus took them cliff-diving, james and lily were surprised because regulus' previous dates were much calmer, but they all enjoyed going, it was like an adventure

bonus

james proposes to lily and regulus whilst wearing a dinosaur costume, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘢 𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘨 (remus, sirius and peter were backup dino-vocalists and sirius ran into the doorframe whilst leaving the room)
