03/25/25 Before and after shower! TB medication has been having my bones and body hurting which has been holding me from going to the gym!
Can’t wait to be done with this medication! 😫
It has been a while since I been able to visit the gym because i got TB (tuberculosis) from a patient at my job. Even though I’ve been told by my job that I am not contagious, I’ve seen my energy levels have gone down, certain things have come up, like my teeth hurting, and my gums being swollen
I’ve been trying to get my place of work to handle it as soon as possible, but it has been an uphill battle. It’s been four months now since I’ve been diagnosed with TB and I still have to wait till the end of March to maybe get medication then.
Again, I’m a very positive person, and very active but because of this I’ve been staying in keeping very little contact with my loved ones in fear that at any moment I can be contagious. My work still has me working with patients even though my work revolves around patients with HIV and anything can compromise their health. I’ve asked to stay home until I get my medication, but was told “ because you are not contagious you have to steal be in person”.
I am still trying to connect with doctors and move my appointment as soon as possible to start medication because once in medication is known, I won’t be contagious. I miss my active lifestyle, but it did open my eyes at how easy life can change.
It also opened my eyes to how hard it is for your place of business to have your back. It still doesn’t change my mentality when it comes to helping others, even if it puts me at risk, but it does give me a second opinion when it comes to my well-being in my job.
I am glad this has secure, but I do not want to find out what happens when I have something that is not curable in my place of business.
So for everyone, please take care of yourself specially, in a place of business because the one person you can count on is just you! Thank you for reading.
Have an amazing day!
