Eret

His entire presence is comforting in and of itself. They are just a very good person to be around in general if you need calming down.

Eret has a very natural sort of peace-keeping personality that he'd definitely be very good with angry-sad people.

Her voice is just very soothing and she's got a few breathing exercises memorized.

Eret also has a bunch of extra candy laying around that he's not afraid of using to make you feel better, because you're not you when you're hungry.

That's not to say they're used to it though, they can and will startle pretty easily

As long as they care about you though, she'd still try to help anyways!

Quackity

He pulls a lot of the same tricks my Mexican mother pulls when I'm upset.

Which is essentially talking loudly over you and pretending you're not upset until it works.

Okay, jokes aside Quackity is very awkward around crying people so as long as your liquids are inside of you, he's good to go.

Quackity is very much of the mindset of 'comforting distractions' to take your mind off what's making you upset.

With jokes, stories, or even singing if that helps, though his default is Mexican lullabies (they're super effective, I can personally vouch)

He's also someone who'd set up an entire blanket fort just to platonically cuddle you.

but only because he read somewhere that hugs are supposed to make you feel better (pls don't tell this man otherwise, Quackity couldn't take it, he'd instantly explode and then you'd have to comfort him)

You can't rant to him though, he will have a million and one things to say

Sam

Sam is actually really good at handling people, even upset people

He's sort of just a natural, very empathetic and caring.

Not to say Sam does it very often, but he always tries to be there and let everyone know it

he's just naturally good at reading the room and catering to your needs

Need to eat your feelings? Sam has snacks! Need really shitty romance movies and a good cry? He quite literally has hundreds and tissues, go off.

A bit awkward with physical affection but always willing as long as you don't bully him too much for it

He's also a very good listener if you need to rant, Sam is also very good at giving advice (unless it's romantic, don't ask)

Sam just cares a lot, please do the same for him because he deserves it

Foolish

This man is a mess

Foolish will definitely try his best to comfort you, I can promise you that

Will it work? Probably not, this man sucks at genuine comfort

Unless his fumbling comforts you, in which case: He's amazing!

Does try really hard to be there for you and Foolish will definitely make a million stops at stores looking for your favourite comfort candy

He's the type to look up wiki-hows for comforting people but with his luck, it's a coin toss for making it worse or somehow fixing it

Has his sister and mom on speeddial and WILL rely on them for help in the event that he does, in fact, make it worse by using wiki-how

He does put a lot of effort into trying though so please let him know you appreciate that! (And also don't let Foolish try comforting anyone ever again)

Niki absoloutely hates seeing you upset

She's a very empathetic person so when you're sad, she's sad

She'll try to convince you to lie in bed with her to platonically cuddle away the bad emotions.

If you have to be productive even during those moments, Niki will prepare you tea and a snack to make you feel better

And if she's not able to comfort you physically she'll send you a bunch of adorable photos and videos of Zuko

So many audio clips of her voice saying the sweetest little pick-me-ups for you

Niki is never bothered because she likes being the friend you rely on

Wilbur Soot

Wilbur isn't the most physical of people so most of his comfort would be trying to make you laugh

Texting you as many truly awful among us jokes as he can

If you're like physically there, Wilbur'll set up popcorn and an emotional movie and start crying so that if you cry too, it won't be as embarrassing

Snacks. This man has a bunch of them and would definitely keep your favourite sweets in store if you just need a quick pick-me-up

For ranting, Wilbur isn't your best bet. Actually, he's probably your worst.

He doesn't do well with listening without offering advice so he should definitely be the last one you call, unless you do want advice. In which case, call him freely.

TommyInnit

Tommy has playlists he made for you if you were sad

Like if you needed to just vent it, it would be his angriest songs, but if you wanted to calm down then there would be a lot of lofi music, like from his streaming playlist

He isn't the best at comforting people but Tommy tries to be really physically affectionate because that's what helps him feel better

If you get headaches when upset you can bet money on him massaging your forehead and scalp for you to help

He feels down sometimes too but he always need to be around people to feel better so he kinda just assumes you do too

Tommy is a kind soul, even if he's not always the smartest

Dream WasTaken

Dream kinda needs to be told when you're upset because he's bad at social cues

Like if you're upset and don't tell him, he might not even notice unless it's really obvious

Taking this from one of my closest friends who does this for me, if you're like in a panic attack Dream'll instantly discord call you and just like talk you down. Discord stream playing minecraft to distract you

He's the type of person who gets really angry when he's upset, even if it's just to cover sadness, so if you're like him then he'll be really good at calming you down and taking your shit

Fully convinced this man would google tactics to comfort people tho because like I said, sucks at social cues and is even worse at comforting

Will put on your favourite movie, buy your favorite food, just spend a bunch of money making you feel better and won't let you repay a cent

Hey could you do a (Platonic) cc!Philza x reader. I want phil yo be a father figure to the reader and the reader will have a bad home life with mom since their dad passed but wont leave because they dont wanna leave their kid sister. During a meet up for the first time reader avoids taking their mask off and when they are finally convinced by phil in private theres a decent sized scar next to reader mouth. Reader has a break down and phil comforts her saying shes ok and doesnt have to go go back home. Reader freaks out saying they cant leave there sister all alone.Phil says that the 2 (or 3 if we bring mumza) can go pick her up and leave. Reader almost calls phil dad multiple times and he eventually says she can call him dad. Phil and mumza adopt reader and the little sister after helping reader put their blood mother behind bars

And reader had to run errands and left Yechno alone in the house but He unfortunately had the Voices demanding blood, And Reader comes back home with the house trashed and messed up so he looks for techno and found him in the bedroom covered with a few wounds (from like knocking the vase over and such) so reader's like 'Oh my Techno dear, come here' (and also reader is the only one who can be like that to Techno since he thinks that is he openly shows he's like vulnerable and stuff) and comforts him and the voices then after that he just patches up Techno and they cuddle? if your not accepting requests you can ignore this lmao and you dont have to do this right away! I have to say Wildest Wills and No Friends absolutely ruined me in the best ways possible! Although I don’t expect a second part to No Friends, I’m so genuinely curious on what could happen afterwards because betrayal seems to be the only plausible option in Squid Game and I do enjoy myself some angst and romance! I think it’s so incredibly well-written and the speed of each game event flowed well enough for me to grasp at what standpoint they’re at.

I do hope you continue Wildest Wills especially! There’s so much content to work off of from where you left it and I’m just so obsessed with the concept! I liked how they met and I think following them in their journey together would be so incredible to read and see how they grow with each other. I’m such a simp for the Dream Team and Bad! I’m also such a sucker for badass readers wielding swords and kicking ass so I may be a bit biased for this specific work!

I really adore where your going with all your other writings! I haven’t read all of them yet but I’m obsessed enough to know I’ll be speedrunning them soon enough! So I don't think I'm going to continue No Friends but I will reveal some of my writing thoughts behind it since you're curious!

So it's based off a song with the exact same name. But uh, the nightcore version because... yup.

I had just finished Squid Game at the time and so I was like, yes this is a good idea. And then it was but it was also a lot of work and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

The "ending" I included is 100% fake. No minors were in Squid Game, though certain LManburg adults were. If i had to make an ending, I'm a sucker for angst but I also want happy endings so probably breaking your way out but then one of your sacrificing yourself to save the others.

If I had to decide a concrete ending with no "They all live" endings, Sapnap would be the winner. George would be too weak to survive too long, Dream would be taken down by Wilbur killing both of them, and Sapnap would in the end survive by killing Fundy, who had helped kill George.

So! I'm currently writing a pt 2 to Wildest Wills : Currently unnamed. Not going to spoil it! But! Expect some good old SBI ha ha :)

hii! no hate, just question, i keep seeing one of your fic in the “#mcyt x reader” recents tag. more specifically the “Distance (Wilbur Soot x M!Reader)” and saw you reposting the same at least twice a your acc, just wondering why because if its too gain more reach, i think you just need to post it once w/o doing it more than once, anyways, thanks!! (sorry if this sounded aggressive!! ;v;)

(suggestion, if its an announcement that you made a new chapter, i suggest you make it a masterlist which your followers can just like and whenever you make a new chapter, you could just edit it! :>)

Now I post updates (with the tags) both for reach and for just general announcements.

The reason I make separate posts + not one singular masterlist is because of 1) the way Tumblr reach works and 2) not everyone wants to do that much work (even if it may not seem like a lot)

Now Tumblr reach means that unless your post gets enough traction to qualify as a Top Post in the tag, it will inevitably be lost to more recent posts. And even if it does become a Top Post, it will also inevitably be switched with a new post one day. And as someone who doesn't go through tags everyday to check, older-new posts tend to be lost to me unless I take time to backlog to where I had been the last time I checked (which doesn't happen often).

This is also due halfway to me not bothering to follow many people (partly my social anxiety for existing), which means I don't get follower post notifications.

And it is also a sort of way to update for every chapter going out. This is for a multitude of reasons, one being that some people may not have a wattpad account to get update notifs which means unless they remember to check, they'll miss posts.

I have struggled over whether it's okay for me to keep posting the same stuff in the same tags for a while, especially since some tags are slow to update/lacking in content. I've thought of simply keeping it to Wattpad and/or possibly making untagged update posts on my alt but again, I'm unsure if it'd reach the same amount of people (especially since I have less followers on my alt compared to my main)

Though I'm not against deleting my update posts here if it's an issue, I would like more opinions on this if possible!
