➳ Bicycle.
You ran to your garage and stared at “Glitter Horse 5000” with determination. You named it when you were 5 and getting through your horse girl phase, and you added the 5000 just to sound cool. It was very cool.
Sure, your bicycle might still have training wheels on, but it has gotten you through hard times, like when you tried running away from home because you couldn’t have ice cream for breakfast. So, why shouldn’t you be able to pedal for two hours to your new job?
Well, you weren’t. You forgot to take into account that you’d have luggage with you during this trip and that you weren’t five years old anymore. You made it around the corner of your street before glitter horse 5000 made her last peddle. You stared in disbelief, tears rolling down your face. Is this really the last of the Glitter Horse 5000? Maybe if you had thought about your choices a bit more, this could’ve been avoided.
Somewhere out there, Wonyoung felt a glitter-filled tear roll down her cheek.

Just the name of it filled you with dread. Being stuck in a cabin with annoying, gross kids while the mosquitoes eat you up I guess it’ll have to do. You were determined to do anything to fund your summer bank account. So you sent your application and got to packing! You had a long four weeks ahead of you.
The summer camp was about an hour's drive away from your house; how do you want to get there?

You looked through application after application, but nothing seemed to catch your eye. So instead of finding a job, why not make your own? Be your own boss, work on your own time, and you knew just the way to do it!
You plastered every wall of your neighborhood with posters promoting your new tutoring service. It was a genius idea, and you got quite the response! Parents all around were looking for a way to get their kids ready for the following school year, and you were just their girl. After setting up a schedule with a handful of clients, you began your summer duty, tutoring student after student. Maybe you should change your major to teaching at this point; you were great at it!
Teaching them the wrong thing, that is.
The following school year came, and all your clients were failing horribly. It never occurred to you that someone who graduated with a 1.7 GPA shouldn’t teach others.
You might’ve spent your summer balling in cash, but now you're balling in tears over your failed business idea.

Babe? But they broke up, didn’t they?
Yujin immediately locked eyes with you, almost as if she could read your mind, but all she could offer you was a simple shrug.

The loud sequels that erupted in the room were enough to break you out of your shock. All you could manage to do was awkwardly clear your throat, and weirdly enough, it was enough to invoke silence in the whole room. It was an eerie silence, almost like they had waited for you to give some sort of signal that you were there.
“And you must be this lovely lady's guardian angel." It’s not every day that the university’s boy toy talks to you—not that you wanted him to, of course; he carried nothing but trouble with his name.
“Y/n.” That was all you could manage to spurt out.
“Well, y/n, I thought since you saved my lady I could return the favor. Name your price.”
So that’s what this is all about. They just don’t want me to go around drawing more attention to the stupid Aeri thing.
“It was nothing; don’t worry about it! I honestly already forgot the whole thing!”
Not that I fully remembered to begin with.
“Come on, it’s not too much trouble! I could repay you in any way, y/n.” Ningning’s words felt heavy, almost as if you didn’t have much of a choice in the matter.
“Anyone catching your eye lately? We could make sparks fly!” Haewon’s always been the type to dig up any juicy gossip, so it’s not a surprise that a potential matchmaking service was what she had in mind.
“No, no one at the moment.” The nervousness in your voice was obvious; you wanted nothing to do with this. All you wanted to do was work on your midterm; why is the world so against that?
“Y/N’s way too anti-social for a relationship! The one time she tried getting someone’s number, it turned out to be a professor.”
