something that caught my attention while rereading though they drift, they do not sink, but nor do they sing is that yashiro never refers to his stepfather as, well, his stepfather. neither out loud when he tells kageyama about the abuse, nor in his thoughts. he calls him his mother's husband instead (再結婚相手, so second marriage partner if you want to be literal), which is interesting, right? there's this refusal to draw a direct familial connection, he's just a man yashiro's mother married. that's all there is to it.
it's different with doumeki, though. when yashiro tells him about the abuse, he calls the man simply his father (父親) at first, then notices this... slip up, almost? and specifies - stepfather. whether it's because yashiro accepted that it wasn't just some man who had nothing to do with him, but rather a parent, someone who's supposed to be caring and protective, or because the little pretend game of familial connections in the yakuza made the word "father" so inescapable that there's no point in avoiding it anymore, i don't know. probably both.
it's important that yashiro opened up to doumeki specifically, too. every other instance where he thinks or talks about his abuse, both with aoi and misumi, he doesn't reference his stepfather at all. it's just this vague "when i was a kid i was violated by a man. that's all". there's no clear timeframe and no way to even tell if he's referring to a specific man or not (as in, no clear distinction whether "man" is singular or plural). it feels almost impersonal. the only people who get to learn the truth, in yashiro's usual dismissive tone, but with enough details to make it something that they have to look at, are the man yashiro was in love with and someone reminiscent of him. neither kageyama nor doumeki know what to do with it, though.
So I was looking at the Wakfu comics…
For those who don’t know, apart from the manga and the webtoon, Wakfu has three comics(two of them divided in two parts) that you are supposed to read in the middle of season one(in the case of Shak Shaka) or in the middle of season two(in the case of The Kamas of the Thirst and The Cursed Theater)
I only found Shak Shaka and The Kamas of the Thirst translated, but I read a summary of The Cursed Theater, and something odd that happens in all of them is that Amalia is always kidnapped, or separated from the brotherhood, which is really weird, why do they only capture her and not Eva, for example? I don’t know, I think it’s strange that it happens in all of them

So you know how some beloved childhood favorites (ie, Hello Kitty, the Smurfs, etc.) Are described as being three apples tall?
But the question is- what apple? Like, what specific apple? Could be random, yes. Am I crazy to think this? Also yes.

Something about Naruto’s character has always made me so incredibly sad and horrified and I have no idea why. I don’t know if it’s due to his different treatment to both his parents, something about him immediately punching Minato the moment he realized that was his dad, that his father was the one to give him such a heavy burden, or something about him sobbing his little heart out and holding onto his mom the moment he met her. Like the little kid he was when he lost her (literally as a newborn) and the little kid he still was when he first properly met her.
Or maybe is something about how much he holds on to whoever doesn’t treat him badly. Even if he’s just being ignored, his sole existence not being acknowledged, he isn’t being treated like a filthy animal. Maybe not being treated badly was what Naruto thought love was. Maybe that’s why he’s always hold onto Sasuke. Because, in a way, they were one and the same, at least in Naruto’s eyes.
He doesn’t care for where does that love come from, or from who. As long as he’s not being hurt then Naruto is bound to think that that’s love. Because he grew up without it, so he doesn’t know how it should feel like.
Maybe it’s something about Naruto’s emotional dependency that has always made me so horrified and upset.
Is it just me, that I hate they turned being a hero into a competition instead of willigness to help other people?

Here is a thought I just had about transformers one. More specifically the fight between starscream and D-16/ megatron.
Do you think that the only reason as to way starscream lost the fight was because he was starving from lack of energon?
I mean, he was the leader of the high guard, he fought against the quintesons (I don't know how to write it) in the war. He also kept probably most of the high guard safe and surviving on the surface.
Yet he lost to a mach who only got his t-cog like a few hours before.
I don't know about you but for me it's weird.
So I came up with the explanation that starscream lost the fight only because he was starving himself so his soldiers and the mach under his commend won't die.
Because with the lost of their primes, their leaders, he was now technically the leader and only one incharge. So he decided that he would not disappoint his primes by kipping their army and the mach they entrusted him with safe.
Even at the exchange/ price of his own life.

I’m really proud of this guy, look at him in all his dramatic fiery glory! I only actually learned how to make the spit details while working on it. Also the symbol on his chest is a combination of symbols and runes that mean fire.
On another note, this and the last dragon I made(the lightning dragon) are connected. While it’s not in the picture you can tell it’s there by the lightning in the top left corner. It’s also referenced by the Lichtenberg marks (lightning scars).
