Imagine: You are the last resort for peace among Asgard. Although Odin and your family have made it clear you are to marry Thor. Fate makes you choose between the Sons for the safety of Asgard depends on it…..

I wander the many halls of the palace. How on earth did I get mixed up in some dumb old prophecy? I sigh giving up when I turn another corner. Lost in my thoughts I didn’t realize another person in my company. “Hmmm and what do we have here?” I look for the person responsible for the voice. I am met with a tall figure standing in my path. He was quite stunning. His armor sleek gold with black trim followed by a green cape hanging loosely off his shoulders. His eyes a green blue perfectly accenting his black hair. Which was done back not daring to touch his face. I gaze at the stranger before I realize who he is. “Prince Loki.” I saw bowing before him. He lets out a cold laugh before walking closer.
“Princess Y/N. My what a marvelous sight you are. Tell me are you not to be getting ready for a wedding?” I look up meeting his eyes. There was no emotion present within them. He kept his guard up forcing me to do the same.
“What concern is it to you?”
“Well it is a simple question.”
“A question I do not have to answer.”
“Is that so?” He eyes me up and down like a predator getting ready to pounce on its prey. I straighten my posture forcing my head higher. He towers over me easily but height doesn’t make a person a intimidating. He closes the gap in a single stride. My breathe hitches in my throat at his close proximity. “Don’t you think you should pay proper respect to your prince?” He says amusement lacing his voice. I hold a tight smile, “And shouldn’t you pay proper respects to a princess?” I challenge earning a scoff from him. We stand there eyeing each other for some time. “Now if you’ll excuse me. I have pressing matters to attend to.” I saw bowing. I walk past him leaving him standing in the hall. “Ah Y/N!” He says forcing me to turn around. “Welcome to Asgard and the family.” He laughs before walking in the opposite direction. I stand still watching him walk away.
My chambers were rather large for my liking. The servents decorated the room with my house colors. For that I am grateful, because I would have thrown up if it was a mixture of green and red. A four post bed sits at the edge of the left wall. To the right a vast vanity stood alongside a tiny desk. Across from me stood two large glass doors. I open the doors to find a beautiful balcony. The view overlooked the city. It was breathtaking how the sun danced over the gold. People were scurrying along the busy streets. Despite my belief that the people were poor; they were indeed quite wealthy. I lean against the railing admiring the view. Closing my eyes I focus on the sounds of chatter and laughter from below. It filled me with great joy to know these people loved their land. Before I knew it I was no long hanging on to the railing. I open my eyes discovering I was floating off the balcony. Smiling I glide over the railing and towards the city. The air gently kissing my skin as I fly. A laugh escapes me as the warmth sensation of my powers spread through me. I pass the palace gates seeing the bewilderment on the guards facing. I know before too long Odin will be looking for me. I stop above the center of the city, turning fully around to admire the kingdom. Feeling satisfied I set course back to my balcony back at the palace. I was maybe a yard away before seeing the crowd on my balcony. I recognized Odin immediately, along with my family. Frigga was sitting down admiration written on her face. Thor and Loki were among them as well. I smile secretly to myself at the confusion on their faces.
“Your highnesses.... father and mother. What pleasure do I have having you all on my balcony.” I say bowing in the air. No one spoke as they each looked at each other. Frigga spoke up ending the deafening silence. “My dear you are flying!?” She half yells. I smile kindly towards her while nodding my head. She looks at me with awe before smiling herself. “Well I must say your powers have far exceeded my expectations.” She says before standing. She grabs Odin’s arm gently pulling him towards my door. I land looking at my father pleased with myself. “My dear...” He was cut off by my mothers hand hitting my face. I stand still as stone as rage fills her eyes. “How dare you?” She yells. I look away from her towards Thor and Loki who seem taken back by the scene in front of them. My father turns towards my mother acting as a shield. “Droyja!” My father says with clenched teeth. I touch his shoulder moving him to the side. I lock eyes with my mother. “Yes mother.... did you have something to say?” I say while grinding my teeth. She scoffs and raises her hand again. I catch it before I could come in contact with my face. She pulls away anger flashing in her eyes. “I should have killed you the day you were born. You are nothing but a disgrace to this family!” That was all she said before shoving past my father. I stand still keeping my emotions as bay while guest were present. “I’m sorry for the display you had to witness your highnesses.” I say bowing. My cheek burns as the wound begins to heal. Of course she used the ringed hand this time. I stand back up smiling plainly. “Y/N I will see you at dinner my dear.” My father says before exiting the overly tense balcony. Thor shifts uncomfortably as the silence drags on. “Princess Y/N it was a pleasure to see you... I look forward to your company this evening.” He says before bowing. I curtsy in return and with that he left. It was only me and Loki on the balcony now. His eyes held mine, neither of us said a word. He bowed holding my gaze showing his understanding before leaving me alone.
I stay there letting my emotions get the best of me. The tears welling up I while slamming the balcony doors shut. A scream escapes my lips echoing outside throughout the kingdom. A blue aura covers my body slowly turning a deep red shade. I grip the rails on the balcony turning my knuckles white. Screams and sobs leave my lips as the humiliation and sadness takes over. A slow rumble vibrates the ground as my eyes become clouded with held in tears. I scream at the pain I was feeling. This causes the whole kingdom to shake as if it was hit with an earthquake. Collapsing to the floor I silently cry as the aura fades away back into my body. People shouting was all I heard before resting my eyes into a much needed sleep.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I wake up to a servent girl shaking me. “Princess dinner is ready.” She says oblivious to my tear stained cheeks. I nod slowly gathering myself up from the cold cement floor. I smile kindly at her dismissing her from my presence. I enter my chambers to see items scattered along the floors. Sighing I pick up the fallen items before making sure I was presentable. With a quick touch up to my makeup I was perfect almost. I leave the room to find a servent waiting to lead me to the dining hall. We walk through several hallways before stopping at grand golden doors. She quickly opens the door allowing me to see inside. Of course more gold, I enter bowing before the king and queen.
“Princess have a seat beside your mother.” Frigga says motioning to my mother. I visibly stiffen but continue to walk towards the available seat. Odin and Frigga sat opposite each other at the large table. Thor, my father and Loki sat in front of me and my mother. Dinner was awkward to say the least. Thor and Odin talked loudly about his training and the random earthquake incident. I lowered my head trying to avoid the conversation. “Y/N sit up I didn’t raise you to be rude.” My mother whispers grabbing my wrist. Her hold was so tight it hurt. I try to pull away but she just tightens her grip. “Lihednat Dolchitni....” she whispers while pricking her finger. I feel my throat close making it impossible to breathe. I bring my hand to my throat hoping my magic will counteract hers. “Listen here daughter. You will obey me until this is all over and you are married. If you make on wrong step to cross me you will die painfully slow. Nod your head so I know you understand.” She says looking at me. I nod slowly struggling to see. She removes her hand and I gasp for air causing everyone to turn to me.
“I’m... sorry.... may... I..... be.... excused..?” I struggle to say having to breather between each word. Frigga nods her head concern in her eyes. I stand up quickly almost falling over. Luckily a servent caught me before I could. Straightening up I scurry out of the room. The doors close behind me allowing me to collapse on them. I gasp for air trying to control my breathing. I glance at my wrist seeing the purple bruises form from my mothers grip. Suddenly my wrist snaps backwards. Tears prick the edges of my eyes as my wrist sears in pain. Ok mother if this is how you want to play.... I’ll play.
I walk back to my room to calm down. My wrist has healed back to its normal state thanks to my father. When I was little he placed a healing spell on me due to my mothers unending torture. I lay down hoping to catch rest but before I could a knock came upon my door. I reluctantly get up to answer the knocking. “Hello?” “Y/N it’s me Thor. I wanted to see what happened to you at dinner.”
“I’m fine.”
“Open the door and we can talk.”
“I appreciate the concern, but really I’m fine.”
“Can I come in to talk then?” I finally open the door allowing him inside. He smiles before entering. He looks around the room admiring its simplicity. “Why do you put up with her?” His question shocks me. “I don’t think I know what you mean.” “Yes you do.” His eyes meet mine with a piercing stare. I sigh motioning to the bed for us to sit. “Thor it is much more complicated then you think.” I say looking at him. He was quite handsome his blonde hair and blue eyes suited him. He was in his silver armor, yet his red cape was missing. “Then uncomplicate it for me.”
“Why should I do that?”
“Well you are to be my wife. I should at least no why you do what you do.”
“You are mistaken.”
“How is that?”
“I am not getting married to you as of right now.” This confuses him tremendously. “What is this you speak of?” He asks standing up. I sigh closing my eyes. “As of now I will marry whomever I fall for.” I say glancing at him. He paces back and forth at this information. “Well then I will win your heart.” He says smiling like he has just discovered a new realm. “Thor....” I started but was cut off by his loud laughing. He looks crazy in this moment laughing to himself. “Goodnight Y/N.” He says before leaving me alone. I sit still wondering what the hell has just happened.

Alfheim... that was my home. Not Asgard, no not some golden magical city, or the most glamours realm in the entire universe. Alfheim may not be dripped in gold but it was beautiful. The mere simplicity of my planet is what makes it beauty. No there wasn’t much but there was just enough, enough to make even the coldest of hearts melt. I let out a sigh hoping all my pint up anger will disappear.
“Now Y/N... Please remember that it isn’t only your reputation at stake.” My mother says flatly while looking out the window. I roll my eyes and scoff at her. “Oh dearest mother, how could I?” My voice laced with sarcasm. This earns the quick backhand from her. I no longer flinch or cower in fear like when I was little. I have grown used to the beatings my mother bestowed upon me. I have always been a daddy’s girl, something my mother despises. “In Vanaheim daughters were to be just like their mothers. Not follow their father into throne hearings or take up fighting.” My mother would constantly say. Although I never understood why she bothered. Normally I’d be gone before she could finish that sentence. My father was a kind and gentle spirit. He would never lay his hands on a innocent child. He let me take up defense training when I was young. He knew I was special from the beginning. Unlike Midgard, Alfheim is surrounded by magic. It is in the air we breathe and the ground we walk on. Citizens could access this magic by sacrificing their blood back to the planet. For they came from it they must return back to it. However, royals were special; our magic was limitless always around us. We don’t have to sacrifice blood for our magic, yet it runs through us; like a river ever flowing.
“Come child, tell me what troubles you.” My father sighs. I didn’t have to say anything for him to know. That is what makes our bond special, he could sense my aura from miles away. I sigh knowing it was useless to confide in him, but just maybe he’d hear me.
“Father I can’t do this...”
“And why not? Weren’t you born to be queen?”
“Well yes, but of Alfheim! Not of Asgard, not to someone I barely know!”
“Y/N... Life isn’t always easy. If it was then there would be no point in living, now would there?” His question takes me back a notch. How could this be useful is any sense? “Stop overthing dear you’ll hurt yourself.” He says with a chuckle. I sit at his feet grasping his hand. “Father how do I do this? I mean leave my home and you behind? How can I marry a man I barely know? What do I do? What should I do? Why isn’t easy?” I ask looking for his guidance. He reaches his had down to cup my cheek before letting it fall limp at his side. He looks tired and worn down; he closes his eyes and stills time. “My dear...” he opens his eyes to meet mine. His hand leaves mine to point my eyes towards the fleeting images. “What you see are memories of my lifetime. Here the palace of Asgard... where I did most of my studying with the Allfather himself.” He smiles fonding over his childhood. I gasp at the sheer beauty of the memory. Two boys around 12 running through the gardens with wooden swords. One smaller then the other but made it up by his stoutness. The memory fades into a new one, the same boys but older now each the same height. They walk to halls seeming to recite something. “This was when I helped Odin prepare his speeches. He was so nervous not wanting to disappoint he father.” He chuckles before flashing a new picture. This memory was different, it seemed to be harder to read. I scooted closer to see but the memory faded before I could. “Father what was that?” I ask spinning back to look at him. He smiles a sweet smile before shaking his head. “That was my farewell party. That was the last time I saw Odin for a melinium.” He nods back to the images. I reluctantly gaze my eyes back towards them. This time there was the same boy but with a girl. She was beautiful, her golden hair fell perfectly out of her braids and onto her face. The boy kindly placed the loose strands behind her ear before leaning in to kiss her.
“Is that you and mother?” I ask still staring at the image.
“Yes it is.”
“Y’all look so happy.”
“We were.”
“What happened?” I ask glancing back at my father to see his expression change from joy to remorse.
“She wanted the magic our planet offered, but could never accomplish gaining it’s full power. You see darling she wasn’t born of Alfheim therefore her magic consists of that of a citizens.” He says before sighing. He shakes his head and the memories fade away into the air. “You want to know how you do this?” He asks waiting for me to respond. I simply nod my head afraid to use my words. “The answer is you are my Daughter, Y/N goddess of magic, crossroads, and the moons. Your abilities have foreseen mine since you were 1000.” He says while pinching my cheek. “You are strong, brave, kind, humble, charismatic, independent, intelligent, honest, genuine, talented, and compassionate. You are everything a woman should be to be queen. Just because I will not be with does not mean you are less than any other royal there.” He states locking his eyes with mine. I smile a grateful smile hoping he would take comfort from it.
“You’re highness.” One of the ship hands says out of breathe. My father turns to him smiling. The boy waits for a sign to continue from my father. He simply a nods his head towards the boy before looking back towards the window. “We have arrived to Asgard. We are about to land your Majesty.” The boy says bowing before exiting the room. I sigh getting up from the floor, stretching my legs as I ascend upwards. I grab my fathers hands before leading him towards the door. If I am to be this princes wife then so be it. I will not dishonor my fathers name by running from my problems. We return to my mother who stands as still as a statue next to the window. She snaps her gaze to us before standing up to greet her husband. “My love you look pale. Shall I fetch the nearest healer?” She asks pressing a hand to his forehead. He shakes his head before grasping her little hands in his. “My dear do not worry. I am just overwhelmed that this day has finally come. Our daughter finally being betroved to the son of my oldest friends.” he says pressing a chast kiss to her hands. She looks down smiling at the sight.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
“My dear friend how long has it been?” Odin says while embracing my father in a hug. “Too long old friend.” Was all my father could say before returning the gesture of affection. I stand back a few feet from the group. I didn’t want to interrupt their mini reunion, but sooner or later I was roped into the formal gestures.
“Odin this is my beloved daughter Y/N!” My father exclaims proudly.
“She is quite the sight Alotl. Tell me dear what do you think of Asgard?”
I bite my tongue thinking before answering. “Well your highness I think it is absolutely stunning.” I say holding a tight smile.
“Tell me Y/N your father tells me of your extraordinary power. Would you mind enlightening us with your power?”
“Odin! This is no time for entertainment.” Frigga interjects sending him a stern look. I glance her way receiving a genuine smile. I smile back before her face changes. She looks like she is stuck in time, frozen a beautiful statue.
“Your highness are you alright?” I ask stepping forward. Odin follows my glance before moving to stand behind his wife. A confused look crosses my face as Odin does this. However before I could question the matter further Frigga falls backwards inhaling deeply.
“Frigga what did you see love?” Odin asks while helping his wife stand back on her feet. She stops and looks at you. You shift uncomfortably while her gaze remains on you. Odin looks at you confusion covering his worn features. “Princess Y/N may we have a word alone?” Frigga says turning towards the steps. I follow cautiously not know whether I was in trouble or not.
“You are the goddes of magic?”
“Indeed I am my queen .”
“You know your future is very unclear to me. That is something I am not used to.” She stops walking, spinning around to face me. She eyes me up and down before locking eyes with me. “Tell me dear your power is limitless?” She asks. Her eyes were no long staring at me but almost as if she were looking through me. “Yes your majesty.” I say standing a bit straighter. She nods for a second before looking back towards the entrance. “My dear I am afraid you future must change course for the good of Asgard. You will marry a Odinson, however; I am not sure which” She says turning back around to continue walking. I stand still my feet glued to the ground. My head starts to fog with ideas of what the Allmother has just seen. Am I not good enough for Thor? Am I a danger to the Odinson line? Was it a mistake coming to Asgard. I feel my stomach start to turn as endless scenarios fill my head. The Allmother stops walking for a second glancing back at my rigid form. “Y/N if you wouldn’t mind following me to Hiemdall.” She says turning around completely. Her words come out groogy and quiet. She makes her way towards me lightly placing her hand on my shoulder. Giving it a reassuring squeeze before smiling again. “I do not wish to frighten you my dear.” I look up at her. Her eyes were hopelessly searching mine for any form of emotion. I swallow the lump forming in the back of my throat. Standing straight once more I nod toward the queen, signaling it was ok to walk towards Hiemdall.
I followed her down every hallway possible in the palace before reaching Hiemdall. He was at the edge of the Bifröst where the gatekeeper kept watch. “Hiemdall.” Frigga says capturing the attention of the man. “My queen how may I be of service?” He asks turning towards the queen. He was a large man deep in color. His eyes were blood orange making it hard to not focus on them. He held a beautiful sword as if it were apart of him. “Hiemdall, I am having trouble seeing into the princesses future. Please tell me what you see. Who is her betroved? What does her life in Asgard I store for our people?” She asks looking deeply into his eyes. His gaze falls on me causing me to look down. What felt like an eternity as passed before he spoke. “My queen what you ask is who does she betrove?” He pauses glancing between the queen and I. My body seems to hang onto his every word as if it were the air I’m breathing. “My princess you will thrive in Asgard. You will become a gracious and loved queen. However, fate keeps you in the pool of love. You will be betroved to a son of Odin, however; which is in your control.” He says before turning to the queen. “She will be the savior or the reason Asgard falls. I have seen both endings, however it must be her decision who she chooses to marry. In alteration in her choice will end badly for all the realms.” And with that he turns around back to his station of keeping watch.
“Your majesty I do not understand.” I say plying over his words again and again.
“It appears to be that you will not be married as soon as we’d wish.”
“I peg your pardon?”
“It’s the prophecy! That a princess will be the key to Asgard’s servival, but also the destroyer. If we do not tried lightly I am afraid of the concequences to our actions.” She pauses and looks into the distance. Before waking towarsa Hiemdall. They converse over matters of high importance that I must not be able to hear. After a few minutes of discussing Frigga comes back with a smile. “Ah child Hope is not lost for I know the answer now.” She says walking past me. I follow hot on her heels. “What is the answer my queen?” I ask praying to Odin she tells me. She quickly turns to me causing me to almost run into her. “You will have to choose very wisely princess for your powers are not yet finished. Soon my dear you will see the answer and save us all.” that was all she said before leaving me standing there alone on the Bifröst.
AUTHORS I NEED A FAVOUR!!!!
I'm not sure why or when this idea popped into my brain. But I NEED a Loki Oneshot (or Fic) with a Reader/OC Spouse, where they have a similar relationship to Odysseus and Penelope.
Like the Spouse finds Loki after NewYork and then the scene would play out like in the Song "Would you fall in love with me again"
OR they met again in Thor 2
OR Lokis Spouse is in the TVA and they meet again there!!!!
I crave Angst like this with a happy ending!!!!!
(Funny Ending: Switch to see Thor crying happy tears seeing them reunite)

A gentle hum passed your lips as you lay your hands on the balcony staring out into the night, seemingly reflecting on the events of the last few years of your life.
What some would consider a whirlwind you considered perfectly normal. Well, as normal as it could be with the person you had chosen to be the other half of your soul until you close your eyes for the last time.
"Mammy! Help!".
The excited squeal of a child caused you to smile, looking over your shoulder to find a small figure, trying their best to run, coming towards you. The laugh that sounded from you was one of pure happiness as you turned and crouched, holding your arms wide open for the incoming attack.
"Let me guess my little one, there's a big scary monster hunting you down and you know it won't try anything while your mammy is here?".
Green eyes looked at you with admiration before looking back through the door they had come from. Anticipating the moment when the figure hunting them down would appear.
"Yes! He's very big and scary! A meanie!".
Placing your hand over your mouth, you stifled a laugh at the obvious loudness from the young boy. He was egging the person inside on and you knew he loved every moment of it.
"Big and scary am I?".
The small scream from your son at the sudden surprise made you smile affectionately at the person responsible for it as you stood, picking up the young boy in your arms, placing him on your hip with a firm grip to make sure he didn't slip off in a moment.
"Quick mammy! Run, you can't let him get us".
Winking, you began to run off towards the door and around your home. Your giggles mixed excited squeals filled the space around you all, the game of cat and mouse lasting for a good hour before your little one grew tired.
Placing a gentle kiss in the mop of black locks, you smiled softly and pulled the blanket up covering the small figure. Double-checking he had everything he needed, you tip-toed out but not before you looked over your shoulder.
"Sweet dreams, my little mischief maker".
After walking down the stairs and reaching the bottom, you stretched slightly being careful not to hurt yourself too much. The gentle hum of the television in the background lulled you a little as you stepped through the door and over to the couch where your husband sat.
"He went down quicker than I thought this time around, you must have done a number in him with your appearing act love".
Sitting yourself down, you brought your legs up and lay down, your head resting on the lap of the man beside you. Fingers ran through your hair gently, eyes looking at you in what could be described as awe.
"Loki?".
Your voice brought him out of his thoughts as he looked down, a rare but genuine smile on his face. The one side of the God of Mischief you got to see for yourself.
"You know, (y/n), you're strong and beautiful, who would have thought you would have managed to calm me?".
Rolling your eyes playfully, you stuck your tongue out at him as you guided his hand down to your tummy, resting yours on top as his thumb ran over your slightly swollen figure.
"Hmmm... maybe it's because you can be quite persuasive when you want to be. That aside, it's because I love you~".
Looking up as you moved your head slightly, you reached your other hand up and cupped his face. Enjoying the quiet moment alone with your husband.
"~You're worth more to me than you'll ever know. I knew there was a reason I married you. Which I wouldn't change for anyone in all of the realms".
Loki x Reader
They/Them pronouns
Takes place right before Thor: Ragnarok
Summary:The reader, accompanied by their best friend Thor, visits the grand realm of Asgard. Little do they know, Loki, the enigmatic prince of Asgard, has always had a not-so-secret crush on the reader, who had been rather rude to him in the past. As Thor shows the reader around and makes them laugh, Loki's jealousy reaches its breaking point, leading to a heated argument. In a burst of anger, Loki confesses his feelings, leaving the reader surprised and speechless.
After a moment of silence, the reader kisses Loki and admits their love for him, sealing the beginning of a budding romance. Thor, always the good-natured mediator, playfully remarks on the young love, taking credit for bringing them together.
You stood in awe as Thor guided you through the grandeur of Asgard, its magnificent palace towering above you, every corner adorned with exquisite craftsmanship. Thor had been a perfect host, sharing stories of Asgard's history, its people, and showing you the hidden gems of the realm.
You couldn't help but laugh as Thor recounted one of his childhood misadventures, and as you did, you noticed a certain someone lurking nearby. Loki, the ever-elusive prince of Asgard, had always had a mysterious air about him, and you had never really been close. In fact, you'd been rather rude to him on several occasions, unknowingly hurting his feelings.
As Thor's laughter echoed through the halls, Loki couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy deep within him. He had harbored a not-so-secret secret crush on you for quite some time, but he assumed you held nothing but disdain for him. Your closeness with his brother only fueled the fire of his insecurity.
Loki's patience wore thin, and his emotions got the best of him. He interrupted your merriment with Thor, snapping, "Must we continue with this incessant laughter and endless tales, Thor? There's more to Asgard than your futile anecdotes."
Your laughter ceased, and you turned to Loki, your eyes flashing with annoyance. "Loki, if you're so uninterested, then why don't you just leave?" you retorted sharply.
Thor, sensing the growing tension, stepped in to mediate. "Come on, you two, no need for this."
But Loki, consumed by his jealousy, couldn't be dissuaded. "Maybe I will," he spat, storming off with a heavy heart.
Your anger flared. "What's his problem, Thor?" you questioned, hurt and anger bubbling inside you.
Thor sighed, a mix of frustration and sympathy in his eyes. "He's got his demons, Y/N. I'll go talk to him."
You nodded and watched Thor go, trying to make sense of the sudden conflict. Moments later, Loki and Thor returned, but the tension still hung in the air like a thick cloud.
Unable to contain his emotions any longer, Loki suddenly burst out, "You think you're so clever, Y/N, playing these games with Thor, laughing at his jokes, and pretending you don't see me, but I see you! I've always seen you."
You were taken aback by his outburst, your eyes widening in surprise. Loki's expression had shifted from anger to a mixture of sorrow and vulnerability.
"Say something, anything," he implored, his voice trembling.
You were at a loss for words. The revelation left you unusually quiet. Uncertain of how to respond, you tentatively reached out, your hands resting on his cheeks, and you kissed him softly.
"I love you, Loki," you whispered, your forehead pressing against his. The weight of your unspoken feelings finally lifted.
Loki's eyes widened, a mixture of disbelief and elation dancing in them. He pulled you closer, wrapping his arms around you as he murmured, "I love you too, Y/N. I always have."
Just when you thought the moment couldn't get any more perfect, Thor, with his ever-endearing sense of timing, appeared beside you. "Ah, young love," he quipped, a mischievous grin on his face. "I knew this tour was a good idea."
You and Loki couldn't help but chuckle, your hands still entwined as you shared a knowing glance. Despite the rocky start, Asgard had become the backdrop for the beginning of something beautiful between you and Loki, and Thor was more than happy to take the credit for his part in bringing you two together.

Thor: We were helping Y/N write their vows, but they kicked us out because Bucky was making inappropriate suggestions.
Bucky: How is “Loki, I love your sweet ass” inappropriate?
A/N- Please keep in mind, this is my first time writing a Reader Insert. So, I'm sorry in advance if this isn't that good.

Imagine on the elevator, Thor talks to Loki about a girl he met while on Midgard, having no idea that girl happened to be Loki girlfriend of 6 years, you.
"I'm sorry, my lady." Thor's voice booms throughout the kitchen after having bumped into you after turning away from the fridge. You smiled softly and nodded your head in thanks. "It's no problem Thor." you said. "Would you like to have lunch with me, my lady? Everyone seems to be out of the Compound at the moment." Thor asks in a surprisingly soft voice. "Why the hell not? My name is Y/N L/N, by the way." You smiled widely. "It is nice to meet you, lady Y/N. What would you like to eat?" Thor grins, gesturing to open-planned kitchen in the Avengers Compound. "I'll just take a plate of F/F from the fridge, Thor. Thank you." You spoke before sitting at the dinning room table, as Thor plated both you and him some F/F. After heating both plates up, Thor flopped into the chair next to the one you were sitting in, after putting both plates on the table. You and Thor got to know one another as you both ate. Loki had told you about Thor and stories about when they were little, but you didn't think Thor would have such Golden Retriever energy based off of what Loki had said. You guys eventually went separate ways as Thor said he was off to the gym. You bid goodbyes as you went back to Loki's room. As you arrived at Loki's room, you could see him walking down the hall towards the Elevator. "I'm going to get a new book, my Queen." Loki spoke softly but loud enough for you to hear, without turning around, as if sensing your confusion. "Ok, I'll be in your bedroom, my King." You spoke before heading into Loki's room and closing the door.
Loki got to the elevator the same time as Thor, and coincidentally the Library and gym are one floor apart. Going the same way, down. Thor held the elevator doors open for his brother which had Loki nodding his thanks. "I met such a wonderful maiden today, brother." Thor announced as the elevator doors closed. Loki raised an eyebrow in question, which Thor noticed. "Why yes, she was the upmost kind and sweet woman I've ever met. I think you would love her. She has a mischievous side but also has a kind and caring nurture to her. I think you and her would get along great after some of the pranks she told me she's pulled on her older brother." Thor explained with a bright smile. "Who is this, you speak of Thor?" Loki questioned with genuine curiosity. "Her name was Y/N L/N. She was brilliant, she was." Thor spoke, with wild gestures of his hands, before smiling at his brother. "I think you and her would get along great." He added quickly, noticing Loki's amusement to the situation. Loki nodded with a mischievous sparkle to his eyes. "I'll keep that in mind, brother. Thank you." He spoke with a hint of a smile pulling at his lips. "No problem, brother." Thor grinned while giving Loki a pat on the back.
As Thor and Loki went their separate ways once arriving to the destined floor, Loki smiled to himself, a genuine smile, just thinking about you and thinking he's ready to tell the team about you. He knows you're the one for him. You complete him. You make him feel things he's never felt before. You are the love of his life. He doesn't know what he would do without you. You make him a better person. Loki is happy for the first time in what feels like forever because of you. He is beyond grateful he met you. He would go to the end of the Nine Realms for you. He would kill for you. He would do anything you asked of him. You have him wrapped around your finger like there is no tomorrow.
please- how does he keep ending up like this 😭
Cooking with Loki.
I’m using ‘you’ for simplicity. Honestly, these are just my thoughts/headcanons as to what a relationship with Loki would be like in general, so it’s not really specific in terms of who it is in the relationship with him.
Feel free to discuss or give your own opinions/headcanons if you’d like.
This is also gender neutral, I imagine he acts the same with a S/O of any gender. Because Asgard just be like that.
-Whether you’re an enhanced being or not, Loki is very ready and willing to take up arms for you at the first sign of danger. If someone threatens you, he’ll tap them on the shoulder with the scariest expression imaginable, “Would you mind repeating that?” If you get kidnapped, there’s a 60% chance that Loki’s on his way to kick some ass (With a 40% chance that one or more of the Avengers are trying to hold him back so they can assess the situation first.)
-If you know how to fight/are enhanced, you two often end up being a combat duo and honestly make the most effective badass power couple in the Avengers, besides Wanda and Vision, of course.
-Loki, at first, if you’re midgardian, will end up being extremely careful around you. He’ll basically treat you like you’re made of glass, any wrong move he makes might hurt you in his mind seeing as, from his experience, midgardians are so fragile. Regardless of whether you’re enhanced or not. It takes a lot of convincing and reassurance to get him to relax. (This is a hurtle you have to jump before he feels confident in fighting alongside you as well.) This, of course, does not apply if he’s already well aware that you can handle yourself in battle. (For example, you’re an Avenger and you two have fought side-by-side multiple times, or sparred with one another.)
-If you ask to come to Asgard, he might bring you along. Don’t be surprised, however, if he ends up using his magic to make you look like an Asgardian if you’re from Midgard. (Because he was very vocal about judging Thor’s relationship with Jane, and he’d rather not be made fun of for the ironic hypocrisy.) As for the other realms? He may take you to see them depending on which realm we’re talking about. (Alfheim and Vanaheim in particular are ones he likes to visit. Jotunheim on the other hand? Over his dead body.)
-If everyone knows about it, he will gladly show off. He flaunts his relationship with you, and you yourself, to everyone like you’re the finest treasure in the universe. Basically saying ‘They’re my partner, not yours. Jealous?’
-If you’re in a relationship with him, I cannot imagine you haven’t already seen his Jotun form by that point. The biggest hurtle(s) for any relationship with Loki are his secrets, insecurities, and fears. Thus, if he really does love you and trust you, it’s because he knows you accept him wholly and completely. Thus, you’ve seen it. (Note: He’s still not going to take this form often, he just wants to be sure you wouldn’t believe him to be a monster and/or abandon him.)
-Once you break through the above barrier, this man is probably one of the most compassionate people out there. If people prove their fidelity and care for him, he’ll treat that person like gold. Though most of the softer moments happen behind closed doors, as he’s not very into PDA. (Though that’s not to say he’ll stop you-)
-He’s not the kind of person to make you jealous. After all, he’s your partner, you chose one another for a reason. If you try to make him jealous though, he’ll realize what you’re doing and take it very personally. The only time he’d ever make you jealous on purpose is if you attempted it on him, because this man is petty. Though do bear in mind he will confront you about how immature you’re being regardless of if he takes the petty route in that situation or not. hypocrite
-He doesn’t really care about appearances. Sure, having a pretty S/O is nice, but that doesn’t really matter to him when compared to genuine care and compassion. This extends to aliens and mutants with major appearance changes too. Neurodivergence and disabilities are also something that doesn’t bother him generally. Though you’ll probably have to explain some of them to him, as he doesn’t really know that much about modern midgardian terminologies/diagnoses for things like that. Autism? DID? Tourettes? Deafness? Muteness? He doesn’t care.
-What he specifically looks for in a partner is loyalty especially, with compassion, empathy, and a decent sense of humor. (Some impishness is also up there on his list.) Common interests are another plus, and will usually be one of the first things he notices.
-Things that will usually make him nope out of a relationship are actually pretty low-bar standards if I’m being honest: Abuse, General lack of care for him, Extreme entitlement, Insert hate-based group, i:e racists, transphobes, etc.
-I’ve already mentioned before that I headcanon one of his love languages to be physical touch. He’s touch starved, please give him affection. However, at the beginning of a relationship, he’ll find the idea of...actually having a loving relationship to be very hard to get used to, so he probably won’t initiate any physical affection at first regardless of if it’s in private or not. But, gradually over time you’ll notice him being a bit more physically affectionate and bold in regards to touching you. He’ll stand closer to you more often, he’ll put his hand on your shoulder randomly, he might even start kissing you on the temple or forehead on occasion, etc.
-If you cannot fight, he will teach you how to defend yourself. This is non-negotiable. His mother was murdered in his absence and that fact haunts him well into any ‘real’ relationship he forges, friendship or otherwise. So, he’s certainly not going to let you waltz about without knowing how to defend yourself in case something happens when he’s not around. If you already can fight, he’ll train and spar with you.
-He will stick to you as much as possible. He wants to spend a lot of time with you (Another love language), so don’t be surprised if he ends up popping up every so often to check on you, or asking you when you’ll next be free for some quality time together.
-Dates with this man are immaculate. He pays a lot of attention to how you feel and what your interests are. He’ll then take this information and use it to construct a date that he thinks you’d enjoy. You like sci-fi? Well, he knows a beautiful alien planet you two could explore! Gemtones? Oh, you just so happened to stumble upon a crystal cave with him!
-He does a lot of silent admiration from afar. During those moments, there’s a lot that goes on in his mind. Specifically, wondering how you could possibly love him when he’s done so much. New York, Helping Thanos, Attempting to destroy Jotunheim, the multiple attempts on Thor’s life, etc. The fact that you can even accept his Jotun ancestry, something even he himself can’t truly accept, amazes him. He really doesn’t know what he did to deserve someone so accepting and loving in his life.
-It’s not always sunshine and smiles of course. Communication of his own emotions is not his strong suit, but he’s very perceptive of the feelings of others, so he’s very willing to talk to you about your issues or concerns. He’s very good at recognizing when something’s wrong as well, so often, you won’t even need to ask him to talk, he’ll already be sitting next to you, patiently waiting for you to begin the conversation. Meanwhile, he has a habit of pushing his emotions down and thinking that if he ignores them they might go away. He’s also very good at hiding it, so that’s certainly something you two need to figure out. Arguments happen, but rarely last long, as he’s good at recognizing when he made a mistake. “I understand, I’m sorry I made you feel this way. I promise I’ll try to be more thoughtful of you from now on, [Name].”
-He doesn’t really do anniversaries? It’s an Asgard thing, there’s no real ‘milestones’ for relationships, so if you want anniversaries, you’re going to have to explain it to him.
-He really tries his best to be as good a partner to you as possible. He places your needs squarely above his own, especially in dire circumstances.
-Pet names. He will use them, and absolutely melt if you use them too. Call him ‘your prince’, ‘sweetheart’, ‘darling’, ‘luv’, any endearing little name like that, he’ll love it. (He also doesn’t care if you call him those things in public either.)
-He’s such a tease. He’ll flirt with you in hushed tones when nobody is looking, his goal being just to see you turn red. If something ends up happening after as a result? ...That’s just a happy accident.
Loki was somewhat familiar with other holidays like Christmas. But Halloween was one of those things that he needed (Y/N)’s help to understand. Though the idea of trick or treating intrigued him when (Y/N) mentioned it.
Sadly, (Y/N) had to explain to him that trick or treating was something children did, not adults. Loki obviously found that a bit ridiculous, but it was a custom here, so why bother trying to argue it?
...That is until Halloween actually rolled around.
(Y/N) was in the tower’s kitchen, everyone else was out. Bucky was with Sam, Thor was in Asgard, Peter and his friends were no doubt out at a Halloween party...or something and the rest were at some big ‘event’ on TV, but Loki?
Truth be told, (Y/N) had no idea where Loki was, which was strange since Loki usually told him if he had somewhere to be. So, (Y/N) was alone in the tower, with nobody but his thoughts for sole company.
Until (Y/N) found him in the living area.
“Wha-? What are you wearing?” (Y/N) laughed. It was the cheapest-looking costume he’d ever seen like it was taken straight from a dollar store shelf.
“My costume, of course.” Loki had a look on his face that (Y/N) was very familiar with. A mischievous smirk as he held up two pillowcases.
Before (Y/N), with a raised eyebrow, could remind him that only children trick or treated, suddenly Loki was engulfed in green light and was replaced with a child.
“Are you coming?” He asked, holding out the second pillowcase with a sly look. (Y/N) hesitated for a second, but it was hard to deny the urge to break such a silly rule. (Y/N) morphed and changed into a child-like version of himself, taking the pillowcase with an eager grin.
The next thing he knew, Loki and him attached themselves to some group of children and were soon stocked on candy. Loki, of course, wore a mask. To avoid being caught, knowing the other Avengers would show up eventually. It was actually a bit scary, seeing as Steve appeared and almost recognized the two. But, he was thankfully pulled away by some fans before he could put the pieces together.
By the end of the night, (Y/N) and Loki had enough candy to last until next April. ...Or at least it would be that much if they were the type not to eat quickly. It would probably only last until Christmas at best.
Hiding the candy in their room once they arrived back at the tower, the two of them spent the rest of the night pulling pranks on Thor and the others once they all returned.
Sure enough, this would end up being a secret tradition between the two of you. Each one had some close calls being caught. But each time it would end with impish laughing, sweet treats, and snuggling.
Loki felt his body tense a little as thunder surged overhead. Though he tried his best to ignore it, the sinking feeling in his stomach kept bringing his attention back every time the sound erupted. It practically shook the tower, but no doubt everyone else either wasn’t bothered or were already asleep.
Of course, Loki was awoken by it, and thanks to his discomfort, he couldn’t bring himself to fall back asleep. Not until it passed at least.
He wouldn’t admit it was a fear. The mere idea of him being afraid of thunder and lighting would’ve been laughable to anyone and everyone. ...Or at least that’s what he thought. But right as another crackle of thunder boomed outside, the light flashed through the room, making him jump, and the door to his room swung open loudly.
(Y/N) slammed the door shut behind him. He had been trying to convince himself to knock and come in for a few minutes, feeling a bit embarrassed about wanting to not be alone during the storm. But after the ear-piercing sound and the bright light, he couldn’t stop himself from throwing the door open and immediately running in. His face was drained of colour and his eyes were wide. It looked like he had just seen a headless ghost. He was trying his best to hide it, but Loki could see that he was shaking.
“...Are you alright?” (Y/N) almost couldn’t speak, he felt like there was a lump in his throat the size of an orange.
“S-sorry.” He muttered. “Can I ju-just stay in here until the storm g-goes?” Before Loki could respond, another flash and boom sounded. Almost as if a flash bang had been thrown into the room. (Y/N) let out a loud yelp, and the next thing Loki knew, (Y/N) was snuggled up to him, arms wrapped tightly around his waist as he shook wildly.
“...You’re afraid of thunder?” The slight tremble in Loki’s voice betrayed him, but at this point that barely mattered.
“It’s childish, I know. It’s...it’s just so loud.” Loki could feel him sinking against him deeper as he muttered that little explanation. (Y/N)’s entire body tense as he anticipated another strike.
It wasn’t just that it was loud though, or that it was sudden, but it was because of just how bad the storm had gotten. Shaking the tower, lighting everything so brightly that it felt like it could’ve blinded you. It just felt like it was only going to get worse.
It didn’t take long before the power went out. The storm was far too violent for the tower’s system to take apparently. The only light was coming from the moon, the city, and the lightning strikes that still seemed to shake the tower.
Loki, at this point, barely cared about his fear being found out, especially knowing (Y/N) had a similar, if not the same, fear. The two of them clutched each other tight, attempting in vain to distract themselves.
Slowly but surely, the storm started to quiet down. It wasn’t gone yet, but it had at least calmed to the point that Loki's fight or flight response had quieted as well. He took a few moments to silently try and compose himself.
“...It’s- it’s not childish. It bothers me just as much.” Loki muttered. (Y/N) nodded, unable to speak. Another clap of thunder, thankfully far quieter. “Ironic, isn’t it? Thor’s brother, afraid of thunder storms.”
After a while, Loki’s soft voice and the quieting thunder started to calm them both down. The storm began to pass, as (Y/N) found his voice and began conversing with him in an attempt to drown out what remained of the noise. Loki explained that he used to be afraid of thunder when he was a child, as he ran his fingers through (Y/N)’s hair. Apparently, there was a period of his life where he’d gotten over that fear with the help of Thor and Frigga. But after what happened on Asgard, and in the events leading up to the attack on New York, suddenly his fear had sprung up again, but far worse.
The current calming atmosphere, the conversation, and the feeling of being in each other’s arms, however? It didn’t take long before the distant sound of thunder was leaving the two asleep.
Asleep after a miraculous and unorthodox bonding experience.
I thank god everyday for blessing mankind with this man right here.
