              he's not well versed in this type of thing.     strategizing an attack against a single person is one thing,     but strategizing for multiple people    &    devising an intricate web of plan upon plan sounded much too complicated for him.     there was always the option,     for him,     of simply tiring one out    ;    of course,     when it's an entire kingdom full of troops heavily armed,     maybe that wasn't an option.     his input may not be of the best quality,     due to his own methods of battle contrasting heavily with sylas's,     though an attempt is all that's surely needed.     at least,     he hopes so.

              battle dancing is one of the things he took pride in,     one of the things he has honed,     not simply out of mere interest,     but because it is interwoven with the care of his being.      dancing is freedom.     freedom is dancing.     to have one with the other is naught but a lie     (   a carefully constructed concept that would be forsaken,     for it is a mere imitation of the art,     albeit lacking soul   ).     that is his rationale for why kayn does this.     why kayn continues to train without breaking sweat,     why he perceives kayn to push himself to his limits,     why he believes kayn explains it to him,    &    despite how exhaustive it may be,     sheepish grin is all that is offered     ———     forgive him,     he hasn't processed all that information.

              there's no use in seeking to draw ire from man whose armor gave him appearance of a fortress,     man whose axe is great than his own head.     should opportunity arise,     an opportune moment to pester stranger,     it shall be graciously taken   !     that may only open gates for danger to sneak through,     act as looming threat over rakan's person     ———     the prospect could be considered terrifying,     but he is rakan.     he finds it entertaining,     knowing himself to be more agile than this fortress man.     life is much too short for him to worry about danger sticking to his side     (   was it not always there   ?     was it not something he grew accustomed to   ?     he does not fear danger's sharp claws digging into his flesh,     for it'll never draw out that gory wine it desires so.     rakan will escape it every single time.   )

              lies    &    deceit truly will guide him to some of the most peculiar of adventures.     previous ones were short - lived,     involved nothing but a little bit of walking,     perhaps sneaking into somewhere,     enjoy the moment,     all familiar jazz he's dealt with before.     only few ever lasted longer than those brief trips.     one,     in particular,     had him crossing over a city or two.     no problem for him   !     but this   ?     this is on a grander scale than his previous adventures.     he's set off to wander ionia,     almost top to bottom to fulfill promise of unbinding him from his bow.     that promise held not a speck of truth.     but oh,     at least he can talk without fearing that death is looming over him,     or rather,     shooting deadly arrows his direction.

              ❛     we sure made it out of that one,     huh   ?     ❜     another mission where he'd gone astray from the plan,     opting to follow his own instincts that dictated his actions should revolve around distracting the guards     (   not too far off from the original plan,     but he had no time to worry over minute details   ),     proven successful with the execution of another rescue.     despite their success,     far too many close calls drew them closer toward's death's dance,     yet their energy toppled over even death itself     ———     so long as there is that guarantee that he can protect xayah,     the strength to prevail shall never falter to the harsh winds of death.     his strength,     a fire,     will always be rekindled in those moments.     then,     later,     attempt to lighten any burden that her heart may bear.     ❛     you all right,     xayah   ?     you look a little tired.     ❜       ///       @blcdecaller​
