I gotta admit, I am such a sucker for hanahaki AUs. They're just fun hhhhhhh something about that creeping physical pain and the dread of knowing that you could alleviate that pain, but only by potentially hurting yourself and someone else emotionally T-T it's the pain of loving someone so much that you refuse to care for yourself in the interest of protecting them from your own desires....or something poetic like that lmao. anyway I love that in this one it's just that Max is awful at communicating jfkdlghslk;jfdskfhs

anyway here's a lil fanart for a fun AU @mack-timelines! :D Hope that's cool lol

Max stands to the left coughing violently, while Sam stands to the right looking over his shoulder in concern. Sam says, "Oof, you ok, little buddy? Got a hairball there?"

The second panel of the same comic. We see from over Max's shoulder as he examines the hand he was coughing into, which is now stained with purplish blood and holds several lavender buds and flowers, also spotted with blood. The same purple blood leaks out of the corner of his mouth. He says uncertainly, "Uh..."

The third and final panel of the same comic. Max grimaces as he examines his hand, fingertips and mouth still stained with purple blood. He says, "Yeeeeah..." Unaware, Sam calls from offscreen, "Well, I did tell ya to quit licking me in my sleep."
