I think it would be cool if they paralleled arajinās knack for attracting a bunch of delinquent men with mahoro attracting a couple of delinquent girls (except instead of being exasperated like arajin mahoro is mildly curious about why)
Something that always I think back to is how Marito orders his sister to leave just after she uses the "family only" card to get Arajin to leave them alone.
Like the subject of "family" is something of a sore subject that he doesn't enjoy very much and would rather separate himself from as much as possible. Not to mention how he turns so cold and serious when dismissing Mahoro compared to how lively and carefree he is with Arajin. A random schuck who he's only known for a few weeks.
It's just a small observation and there hasn't been many references to his family background, something tells me that he doesn't have the best relationship with his biological family. It's telling how he feels more comfortable and happy interacting with other teens he's known in less time compared to the brocon his own flesh and blood. Especially since we've never seen him act this way with Mahoro compared to Arajin/Siguma Squad/Minato Kai etc. And yes he does eat her disgusting meal when he's alone, but why didn't do that earlier if he could tolerate it? Why hide it in secret? He does "care" to a degree but it's not on the same level as how he treats his friends.
What do you guys think? If you have any other ideas on this, you're more than welcome to reblog this with your thoughts on the subject.

Guess I'll just check in, have a redesign I made for Mahoro
she was the start of my downfall, my trojan horse you could say
now I got invested in making an AU/rewrite to suit my tastes mostly because there is a lot of potential but a lot of things fall flat, also some orientalist elements are uuuuuh... so I'm just doing my thing now ig

oh boy... that was a lot. an end to the gang war arc, and soon, the start to a new one. i want to start off by saying the animation was awesome this episode. all the action, emotional moments and small bits of comedy hit where they needed to.
i think it's interesting that it's not just that mahoro absolutely ROASTED akutaro, she also inspired arajin to kick his ass. NOT JUST because he has a crush on her, but because she refused to run, which is what arajin has been doing- it's a wake-up call for him to get some of his shit together.
it's also made blatantly clear that arajin does care about matakara.(the first person he sees when he gains consciousness is him getting fucking beat) hopefully next ep we get to see how their relationship develops from here. obviously they're not quite there yet, and i still think they're going to have a fight at some point- the next conflict focusing on matakara, and arajin showing us how much he's grown.
also, now that akutaro has been defeated, i wonder how ichiya will merge with matakara? how will matakara's conflict, brother, and ichiya and senya's past together play into this? will it be at the expense of matakara himself?
i also don't think this is the end of arajin's development, it's just the start. he'll always be a cringefail loser, but i think what ppl need to realize is that's okay. (his battle cry is still that he wants to lose his virginity, but that's not all there is to him! he beats up akutaro regardless.) he can be a loser and have development. he's not just one or the other, just like the rest of the characters in the show. they can be silly, beat people to a pulp AND have their own emotional moments. the show so far allows all of it, i think that's what makes it so great.
i can't wait to see where the show goes next!!
this is all I could think of when Mahoro told Arajin to stop her brother from starting a war tbh
i might like this anime
