Mal Descendants - Blog Posts

In D2, I kept her blonde grown out hair w/ purple tips, she’s trying to be ‘normal’ that’s why she has pink blush and she’s not using magic so her horns haven’t grown since. But in the second act of the movie she embraces her ‘villian-ness’ and while I do love her hair in the movie, I don’t think it was rock n roll enough for Mal, so I just made it shorter with layers. Also because she uses her magic her horns get longer.

Okay so I did a redesign on the og Villian kids, first off is Mal obvi.

So, in D1 I kept her design pretty much the same but I gave her some sprouting horns, grey skin and more prominent green eyes and as a little Easter egg I gave her her dads Disney swirl chin.

In D2, Mal was going through it. She was trying to be "Auradorian" with her blonde hair with purple tips and pink blush. She hasn’t been ‘herself’ recently, so her horns haven’t grown since the first movie. In the second act of the movie, she gets her hair re-dyed and with some layers. Due to her coming back to the isle and back in her element her horns get longer.

D3, I wanted it to be similar to her hair in D1 but with a twist, it’s just longer this time, when she uses her dad’s gemstone thingy the ends of her hair become more blue and when she like *really* uses it, the tips are blue fire.

The Royal Wedding is such an insult to Disney and it’s lecgay as an animation movie company. Anyway, I think in this movie she’s 21, so her horns are fully grown and I do like to think that her hair was dyed blue by using her dad’s gem. I do NOT agree with the idea that Mal never dresses up for anything so on her wedding day, so her hair is up and she’s wearing purple lipstick.

Mal

Bueno , esta es evidente , Maléfica es francamente más desgraciada aquí, combinando un poco su historia con los live acción, tenemos a esta villana siendo traicionada por su hija adoptiva, tras años de resentimiento hacia los humanos, tras tener a Mal , lo que ella quería era una niña , que fuera tan dulce como Aurora, pero leal a ella, solo para resultar en un niño con pelo azul y un gran parecido al patético con complejo de dios , dejando a su hijo como un mal recuerdo, pero buscando hacerlo " fuerte "

Por otro lado , Hades es un dios que siempre vivió a la sombra de si hermano , con un trauma con su padre, decidió que no estaba listo para la paternidad... cosa que decidió una vez ya había tenido un hijo , pensando que era mejor alejarse de Mal , pero con la llegada de Hadie (aquí una niña ), pues digamos que el destino ya no le pregunto sobre sus Daddy issues, pero eso genero que Mal le recintiera , pues cuido a la niña , mientras a el lo abandonó con Maléfica, lo cual básicamente lo volvería el peor hermano mayor de la isla , también cabe decir que Mal parece ser más Hada , que dios , pero Hadie, aún con su padre atrapado en su forma mortal , parece ser mas diosa que otros semidioses, pudiendo ver fantasmas aún con la barrera

Evan ( Evie )

Por otro lado tenemos a Evan , la reina malvada fue criada para pensar que la belleza es clave para tu final feliz, y aún si amaba a Evan , la verdad es que su cuidado extremo a su apariencia, lo termino volviendo un desastre lleno de trastornos alimenticios, pero eso no quita que tiene mamitis, pues sabe su madre solo quería que sobreviviera, aún a si , no quita que el fue producto de la búsqueda de un hijo más hermoso que Blancanieves, producto del hombre más apuesto e idiota que Evan pudo encontrar

Ahora, hablemos de Gaston , ninguno de los 2 sabe de su relación, nadie de la isla ... pues mucho no se parecen , pero no quita que fueron sus genes ,más los de la reina , que volverían a Evan en el más hermoso de todos , pero aún a si, Gaston no es fan de que el chico afeminado sea más popular que sus propios hijos , ni los gemelos son tan lindos con el , posiblemente la única persona que no despreciaria a Evan , sea Ginny , aunque francamente, no seria raro pensar que Gaston prefiriera volver a Evan " el macho más macho entre los machos", que demostrarle amor a su hija

Jade (Jay )

Jade no pasó sus primeros años con Jafar, ella aprendió a robar de su madre , Sadira sin magia , sobreviviendo en la isla con una niña pequeña, tuvo que volver a sus viejas costumbres, enseñando a su hija a robar, más lamentablemente, la violencia de la isla cobró una víctima, Jade paso quien sabe cuánto tiempo sola ,hasta que cierto chico hada ma encontró , ayudándole a dar con su padre

Jafar por otro lado, no sabia que su aventura con otra de las pocas villanas de su tierra natal , había dado frutos en una niña ,una muy buena ladrona , Jafar si ama a Jade , pero lamentablemente, siempre le recalco a su hija que debían de sobrevivir, lo que llevó a Jade a alejarse de su padre , pues se sentía como una empleada más para el , más hay algo bueno de esto , Jade aprendió a rascarse con sus propias uñas , aún a si , Jade lleva siempre un hiyab rojo , la única cosa que Jafar le a regalado , porque al final del día,una parte de ella quiere saber si su padre le ama o no

Cloe ( carlos )

Estos 2 se volvieron amantes ,aunque jamás formalizaron nada , pues Cruella De vil no pierde tiempo con hombres, una vez nace Cloe, su padre se fue de Hell Hall , volviendo de vez en cuando , cuando Cruella le dejó volver , Le Pelt realmente poco o nada le importo Cloe , aunque estaba con ella , jamás le confesó que era su padre , porque realmente no tenía ningún interés en ella , de hecho , su trato con la niña no es diferente al que recibía Alonso

Por otro lado , Cruella tiene una relación curiosa con su hija , su relación siempre estuvo de cabeza, con Cloe cuidando a su madre más como una hija , aunque de cierta forma, Cloe admira a su madre , no es fácil ser el icono de la moda feminista, para luego ser desterrado a una isla , pero no quita que Cloe jamás sintió refugio con ella , por el lado de Cruella , su estado mental actual la llevó a ciertos episodios regresivos , donde confundía a Cloe con Annita , que era cuando más cariñosa se ponía

Bet (Ben)

Ok, técnicamente la Hechicera no es madre de Bet , pero basado en otros materiales de Disney y teorías, Bet es nieta de la Hechicera , la cual si bien se a mantenido alejada de su familia, en parte por la discriminación hacia los seres mágicos, solo se permitió ver a Bet y a Bella a lo lejos... aunque a ella le agrada más Mal , que Adam

Si hablamos de la Bella y la Bestia , Bet tiene una mejor relación con su madre , ya que las 2 son muy parecidas , mujeres sensibles e inteligentes, pero tercas como mulas , además de que Bella siempre le apoya , aún si esta preocupada por su actitud perfeccionista

Ahora, Adam es otra historia, sabia que el no fue el príncipe estándar, cuestionando muchas veces si el es bueno para Bella , no queriendo que Bet terminara con alguien como el , decidió animar un compromiso con Adrien ( Audrey) , le entrego a su hija el príncipe perfecto en bandeja de plata , y ella se va con el punk que no puede hablar sin palabrotas, pero su relación tiene más conflictos, Adam constantemente presiona a Bet para entrar en parámetros reales muy estrictos, pues sabe su hija la tiene difícil siendo una mujer , pensando que si era la princesa perfecta, recibiría más apoyo, pero Bet termina siendo un desastre emocional, llena de miedos extremos a la más mínima imperfección, además de con problemas de ansiedad

Cloe De Vill

Ok, algunos datos/headcanons que pondré sobre mi versión femenina de nuestro querido Carlos ... bueno , prácticamente escribí una wiki , haré lo mismo con otros personajes, pero iniciaremos con este , porque me vi Cruella y 102 dálmatas recientemente

☠ apariencia física: su físico realmente dista muchos del de Carlos , de hecho, se parece más a su madre , siendo una chica pequeña, con piel oscura, ojos cafes , además de que nació con el pelo completamente blanco, que parece no ser tan raro en la familia De Vil

☠ actitud : Cloe es una chica algo tímida, además de poco imponente, sabe no es la manzana más podrida de la isla , más trata de vivir con eso , es la más amable de los VKs, cosa que no seria apreciada en la isla , por lo que es terriblemente insegura, lo que le llevo a muchas veces, no poder negar algo o detener algo que cree no va bien

☠ gustos : al igual que Carlos , ama la tecnología, al punto que sueña con ir a la universidad de san fransokyo, ama también a los animales , de hecho , trabaja en una fundación que acoge perros , también ama el chocolate, pero este amor nace de un caso curioso, ella en la isla era adicta los cigarrillos, pues le ayudaban a relajarse, cuando llego a Auradon, descubrió que no era tan fácil acceder a ellos , a si que terminó cambiarlos por otra cosa , en este caso , los dulces

☠ no le gusta : ver a sus amigos en problemas, posiblemente este será su momento límite para negarse a algo , que la manden , no poder negarse a hacer algo , la enfermedad de su madre

☠ virtudes

. Es buena y rápida al aprender , especialmente de tecnología

. Es la más amable y la más empática de su grupo , lo que la hace la más agradable en este grupo de inadaptados villanos

. Es la más paciente , es difícil hacerla enojar

☠ defectos :

. Es terriblemente dependiente, especialmente de sus amigos, costandole mucho decirles que no , solo haciéndolo cuando se llega a extremos muy absurdos

. Es la más débil físicamente, posiblemente le iría mal en una pelea , pero lo intenta

☠ relaciones

Cruella: Cruella ama a su hija, pero es un amor muy tóxico , pues lamentablemente, sus problemas mentales , orgullo desmedido, además de sus problemas de narcisismo, han provocado que Cloe desarrolle una culpa enorme al no poder proteger a su madre , ya que ella siempre le atiende a sabiendas que su madre está enferma, lo que la llevo a tener que responsabilizarse de muchas cosas desde muy niña , además de sentir culpa por no detener los malos actos de su madre , ya sea hacia ella o hacia otros , perdonando sus errores con demasiada facilidad, también hay que decir que Cruella tiene episodios regresivos , donde confunde a Cloe con Anita

. Jade : su relación es una de hermanas , Jade aún si la molesta mucho , no dejaría que nadie pasara por sobre Cloe , ella de hecho robo un peluche, un oso blanco de ojos negros , que se volvería el favorito de Cloe

. Evan : igualmente tienen una relación familiar, pero Evan es especialmente protector, y hasta celoso con ella , aún a si , sería a la persona en las que Cloe más confia, incluso pareciendo más una figura paterna de Cruella

.Mal : Mal ama mucho a Cloe , muchas veces es con ella con la que más se puede abrir emocionalmente, pero lamentablemente, Cloe termina volviéndose partícipe de sus malas ideas , por no poder decir que no

. Bet: Bet también se a posicionado como una figura de confianza para Cloe , alguien a quien puede acudir en cualquier caso

. Harry y Jade badun :los 3 se criaron en Hell Hall, Cloe los ve como sus hermanos pequeños, mientras su madre los lleno con la idea de que su destino es servir a Cloe , pero lamentablemente, esto suele terminar mal para ella , también cabe decir , que aún cuando ella los ve más como familia, Jace tiene un crush con ella

. James : los 2 tiene un crush evidente con el otro , pero a diferencia de Jane y Carlos , se han quedado por el momento como buenos amigos nerds , que alientan el conocimiento de otro por sus intereses

. Chico y Albina ( oddball): Chico es la mascota de la escuela, pero pasa más tiempo siguiendo a Cloe , por lo que prácticamente vive con ella , ambos están tan unidos que Cloe parece entenderlo , mientras , Albina es uno de los cachorros que cuida , la cual siempre la está metiendo en lios, pero igual la ama muchísimo

. A diferencia de Carlos , parece recibir un mejor trato de su madre , pues tiene un cuarto propio , aunque si era un armario

. Tiene celos de Baby , el peluche de su madre

. Seria sin duda virgo

. Su compañera de cuarto es Jade

. Es la más joven de los rotten four, es un año más joven que Evan, Bet y Mal , y 2 años más joven que Jade

. Al igual que su madre , es fumadora

. Desconoce quién es su padre , pero tiene varios sospechosos

. A diferencia de muchos VKs, su pelo no está decolorado

Controversial Post

Good morning, afternoon, or evening to those reading this.

This will be a controversial post, so please grab your pitchforks and hold on to your keyboards.

Many people like to point out fictional characters that many viewers idolize, despite the creators pointing out that said characters are not good role models. The most mentioned characters are Don Draper from Mad Men, Walter White from Breaking Bad, and The Joker from Joker.

However, movies and TV shows about middle-aged men are not the only sources of media that feature characters who are poor role models but receive a lot of worship from fandoms.(please excuse my use of passive voice). Many Disney films and TV shows, which are typically about high school and college-aged girls, feature main or supporting characters who are poor role models but are idolized by their fandoms. These are broad statements, so I will not name names. I am solely generalizing.

This was inspired by @dani-luminae 's post comparing Mal Bertha and Elsa of Arendelle. I recently re-blogged the post.

The majority of the featured characters are from films, but a few are from TV shows and TV movies. If you would like to add any more, please do so by replying or re-blogging.

At the top of my head, I have listed Mal and Audrey from the Descendants franchise.

Next, jumping to the Encanto fandom is Isabela Madrigal and maybe(emphasizing maybe) Dolores Madrigal.

So much collateral damage. Thankfully this scene takes place in a small town(nothing against small towns. I am from a small town myself), and if it took place in an urban area, the scene would look like the aftermath of an Avengers movie.

Lastly, since this post is getting too long, is another magical big sister, Elsa of Arendelle from Frozen(Same w/ the girlies from Encanto above: being a bad sister, plus, and mainly, collateral damage).

Yes, all of the ladies I mentioned above are b*d*ss*s, and do display some positive personality traits and engage in prosocial behaviors. However, despite that, they are not good role models in universe, as IRL, they would be felons, and their family members and friends may limit contact with them.

There is nothing wrong with sympathizing with any of the characters above. There is nothing wrong with relating to the characters above. There is nothing wrong with liking the characters above. However, you can sympathize with, relate to, or even like the characters above while simultaneously recognizing them as poor role models in universe and IRL.

VK Hierarchy

Due to Maleficent's position as ruler of the Isle, Mal is automatically considered at the top of the food chain. Mal first came onto the streets at 10 as an enforcer for her mother. As the years went on she made a name for self by being ruthless, Mal also started to put a gang together and went off on her own, Maleficent's territory slowly became more known as Mal's. Though Mal does still live in Bargin Castle and does report to her mother, however she has stopped being an enforcer and has made her own name for herself instead of just being Maleficent's enforcer. The Fae Syndicate is one of the most dangerous gangs on the isle and controls a large territory.

The Fae Syndicate is closely followed by The Burbers and the two Pirate Crews The Burbers are a large gang and they hold a lot of territory, they are lead by Yasmine daughter of Jafer and Jay's twin, Yasmine is a formidable woman who earned her place by killing the former leader of the Burbers after he broke sanctum. Her second is Hugo Rourke, who is know for his sheer strength and the fact that he is loyal to the bone.

Both Uma's and Harriet's Pirate Crews have a decent amount of territory, they also have access to the only fresh food supply and they control all the docks on the Isle. Uma's crew control the left side of harbour town from the dark cliffs and Ursula's to the barge docks in the centre of harbour town. They also stretch up enough to control some of the edges of the town proper. Harriet's crew control the right side of harbour town from the Jolly Rodger and Hook's Inlet to the barge docks. They also control some of the edges of the town proper

The Lost Children and the Merchant Punks are next, they garner a lot of respect and fear. The Lost Children, led by Anthoney Tremaine, because they are the oldest on the Isle and had to cut their place out, to be seen as more than just extensions of their parents, the Lost Children are also different because they only except those who were born with the first two years on the isle.

The Merchant Punks, led by Leo Silver, are a large gang with a large territory, they control the majority of the Bazaar and the shops so you don't wan to anger them less you lose access to most things on the isle. 

The gangs are mainly on equal footing though and as things like territory and supplies and allies are always changing there is no sure fire way to know who is better than the others, though all the gangs like to say they are the best.
