A leopard seal is in banana pose on an ice floe, then it stretches out its neck onto the snow to put its head down.

The leopard seal slides gently to the right, then makes several tiny hops forward.

The leopard seal lies on its side with its pale stomach exposed and it blinks peacefully as snow begins to fall.

The leopard seal rolls over, smooshing its face in the snow a bit. This is just a big wet sea puppy!

Leopard seals are pagophilic mammals, meaning they prefer to live on or near sea ice and depend on it for many activities and functions. ©
