I'm torn because I love the idea of Darcy just lurking in the shadows of the throne room the whole time in the Christmas special.
But I also love the idea of them hearing Andrias throwing a tantrum from the basement and being like: Aight time to go add salt to bitch boy's wounds >:)
Post rescue Marcy as amnesia.

Since we got confirmation that the Core can talk to Andrias and even watch through his crown. Does this mean every calculated idea Andrias has ever had was because of the Core telling him what to do?
Because the minute the crown comes off he acts a bit irrationally and childish.
No wonder Darcy calls him pathetic, I don't think Andrias really knows what he's doing by himself.

Hey what if the entirety of Froggy Little Christmas takes place in Marcy's mindscape, as a way for the Core to show her Anne is better off without her.
That scene with Andrias foot stomping the car is just a simulation with his VR set.
Then the Rebecca Sugar song is Marcy losing herself.
Darcy: My job here is done.
Andrias: But you didn't do anything
Darcy: *Cape Swoosh!*
Yo, I loved that they changed the intro! And I'm ngl I love Darcy's design/outfit, especially the helmet and the cape!
The Core kinda extra to be like "you know what would really compliment this outfit? A CAPE!"
And thier pose here at the end very cool! Especially since bitch boy got pushed to the side and is smaller, like lol loser got demoted to minor threat. I'm actually very excited to see this evil arc and how it plays out! Don't get me wrong though I still hate that Marcy's suffering.
The Core: Here's another good tip of how to be a creative wiz kid! Go and collect some leaves and sticks and arrange them into your favorite color!
Anne: Blue!
Sasha: Red!
Marcy: Green!
The Core: Green is not a creative color!

The little gremlin part of my brain is like, Yes! Now the farm girl(Anne) and the knight(Sasha) have to band together to save their princess(Marcy). Who is being guarded by the evil king(Andrias) and a dragon(the Core).

Okay, but as gut wrenching and heart breaking that possession scene is. Because it is, like holy F, my baby NOoo 😭

In all seriousness these two episodes were pretty good. I loved the Polly development she's a very smart bean! Frobos back and Anne finally told her parents the truth! Oh and the IT girls💖

So I'm assuming the rescue scene from the promo will lead to the Marcy wearing the Night's helmet scene. Ahhhhahh No!
*Also Hollywood Hop Pop will probably be a parallel to Break Out Star.
*With all that said I'm totally looking forward to the rest of the season!!!

I hope when Marcy gets possesed they change these scene's to reflect that.
I always love it when they tweak intros to fit current events from the show!
*Theory
The Night poseses Marcy, then immediately falls down the stairs!
What if in The New Normal we get a mirror version of this scene
We see Anne, but instead of being happy she let's go the mask and we see her true colors which is her being very, very sad, angry even.
Then we get these
So we know Marcy's possesed or wintersoidered and then there's corruptianne theory which could be possible. After all her powers seem to brought out of anger/rage also make her go feral.
Some people have pointed out that the colors of these two herons being green and blue could be foreshadowing. And heron imagery/symbolism is used often
Anne being on the opposing side
Sasha has two swords with herons that might be something.
So like what if in a paralleling turn of events the now corrupt Anne and still possesed Marcy invade Wartwood. Sorta like these herons did.
And like that night where Spring and Polly's parents were killed this time another Planter is taken.

Will this happen most likely not, but hey it's just a very lose theory. Maybe a good fanfic idea though!

Some people have already theorized this shout out to them, so I'm gonna through my hat in the ring.
I gonna predict that this scene
Takes place after Andrias sends this robot after Anne. Of course Anne beats the robot so Andrias is like "hmm how am I gonna get her gem power? Oh I know I'll send her friend to do it for me"
So he let's Yunnan and Olivia rescue Marcy.
Now Marcy is still herself not a spy or brainwashed, However this tech chest plate is possibly where the Night resides. And it's able to take control of Marcy whenever it wants to.
It'll make for some interesting conflict because Anne might need to choose between freeing Marcy and the world being taken over. If that chest plate is the only thing keeping her alive.
Either way I am pumped for Season 3!!!
