Her childhood was shaped by the risks of magic—after trying to resurrect a pet rabbit, her father took on the cost of the spell, leaving him weakened. Lesson learned: magic always comes at a price.
At 16, she became a hunter—tracking supernatural threats while finishing high school in the American South. Think: Zatanna’s stage magic + Dean Winchester’s teen trauma.
Later, in New York, she trained under the mage Paul Nelson (ex-boyfriend, now literal Hell resident), and fell in love with Jonathan Carter, another mage. Their attempt to stop a magical apocalypse left her father dead—burned in a ritual gone wrong. She now distrusts magical institutions and runs her own business, "s,anairaM"—a multiverse mail service and spellcasting shop.
