You know being a Og Diaries fan since somewhere around season 1 i honestly bursted with joy when I saw laurance in the thumbnail, I was freaking crying, My baby boy returning in an actual series since Void paradox, I just- I just can't He's finally back, and by the sounds of it- He ain't virgin, He just ain't.
The ending to the Mcd remake give me I feeling like there's going to be more, Like why leave it on a cliff hanger if there's not going to be any more?

How old is everyone before the timeskip? Who gave Zane the amulet if Kawaii~chan didn't want to help him with that? What's the in-lore reason that Laurence is Shad's.. decendent..thingy...? Can all of the Divine Warriors reincarnations(Garroth,Aph,Laurence,etc) talk to the people who turned into relics? Or is that just an Alina thing?

Haha! Oh boy you think that ask was long? Buddy, I basically wrote you an essay. Buckle up.

First off! KC is taking Brian's place as traitor, not Garroths. So KC is the one leaking info to Zane, not the one stealing the amulet from Laurance. (Also unlike Brian she's not kidnapping nicole or opening the gate.)
On that note, Garroth doesn't betray everyone because of jealousy, he would be early into his relationship with laurance and aphmau by this point so seeing them kissing in the woods wouldn't phase him, even if it wasn't out of character. Garroth DOES work with Zane. However, it's out of a misguided attempt to defend the village and his lovers. "Lord Aphmau's optimism is encouraging, sure, but she doesn't know what O'Khasis will do. She's an untrained nobody who's had a lucky streak, and she's naively leading the village to the slaughter. Just help me with this one ensy wensy favor, dear brother. I just need a little trinket your fellow guard his holding for safe keeping. Give me that, and I'll leave your little village and your... ugh, "partners" alone." Garroth importantly doesn't sequester himself away in his quarters. He's acting necrotic, jumpy. He's not sleeping, and he's checking and rechecking defenses in preparation. He's visibly running himself ragged in an attempt to justify phonix drop being able to defend against an O'Khasis invasion, but he just can't. Because in Malachi's castle, this was his greatest fear. that by entrusting aphmau as lord he doomed the village, that her optimism and helpful nature would not be enough and she would lead to the villages destruction. That him running away from his fate would eventually catch up to him and O'Khasis would destroy anything in its path to apprehend him. Aphmau and Laurace will not agree to allow Garroth to sacrifice himself, and Truthfully, Garroth doesn't want to. But O'Khasis will eat them alive. Surly, this is the answer? One favor for his brother, and everyone he loves can live in peace. Fear of losing everything can lead people to doing things they regret.
Laurance is actually NOT Shads decendent. Because... Shad doesn't have any. Alina was his only child, and after she died, he was too wracked with grief to think about having more children. But what Laurance IS is Shads vessel. Laurance spent MONTHS in the nether being tortured. There's no way the process of turning into a shadow knight took that long. He was being prepped as a host. Shad can only do so much with corpses, and Laurace not only entered the nether as an alive, able bodied skilled guard. But also a companion of the woman who is really similar to his ex-wife (irene). Laurance is functionally the PERFECT host, BUT... ungrth rescued him before the process could be completed. A massive loss after coming SO CLOSE. But the calling always brings them back, it's only a matter of time before laurance crumbles to the urge ans returns to the nether and into Shads waiting clutches. (I'm thinkin laurance has these like, intricate brands on his back to allow shad entry and control. He and aphmau might work with emmalyn, Vylad and Zenix to try and figure out what they are. (Irene probably already knows) but even if they do figure it out the calling is too strong and he enters the nether to protect aphmau and garroth at the cost of his free will.)
Yes, everyone with a relic can speak with the person the relic was made from. (Irene's relic is a little different because it wasn't made at the cost of her life, so if someone else held the relic they would not be able to speak to her but because aphmau IS her, she can. And she talks to her even before picking up irenes relic.) But here's who they would get to talk to based on the relic
Shads relic: Alina (basically Liliths sister now.)
Esmunds relic: his younger brother (reminds Garroth of Zane)
Menphias relic: her good friend (reminds Katelyn of Jeffory)
Enkis relic: his mother (reminds Travis of his mom)
Kul'zaks relic: his father (reminds Vylad of Garte)
Were these specifically designed to cause the most psychic damage to the new relic holders? Yes.

can you tell us more about your mcd rewrite/headcanons? obsessed with your version of the kiddos! how does the 7 year time skip work? how old is dante? how old are nekoette and dmitri? does alina exist? is this garrancemau? does aaron exist? well probably since lilith is lycan, but i’m so curious and amazed and definitely sold on whatever’s going on here
OH BOY STRAP IN I'm so excited to talk about this.
for starters, the 7 year time skip is in place of the 15 year time skip, but since its fiction, characters like Travis and Michi will still be adults since we didn't meet them season 1 and don't have to adhere to preestablished ages. the biggest changes are really to the world and the kids. (keep in mind there are some other changes that happen in season one that would effect how characters work or how things play out, for example KC being the traitor or Nichole being a werewolf both heavily effect the plot that plays out around them and how their characters behave. i can hear your screams about KC but just trust me. hold my hand. we'll get through this together)
side note. the reason its 7 years is because that's the actual length they are in the Irene dimension in the episode. technically 7 minutes and 30ish seconds so its a 7 and a half year time skip.
Dante is 22 in season 1 and 29 maybe 30 in season 2. in season 2 Dante is much less in charge of guarding a village and more so, protecting the remaining members of phoenix drop after O'Khasis and Scaleswind burnt it to the ground and most people left. Its important to note that this time, Alexis, Kyle, Levin, and Malachi are not present. The only guard besides Dante is Nicole who was disowned by her father at the end of season 1 due to being a werewolf (its an allegory for being gay but she doesnt know that yet shhhh) and KC is staying out of a sense of trying to make up for her mistakes (she was the traitor in season one because Zane threated to have her deported back to tu'la, (where shes wanted for being a magicks user,) if she didn't put the listening amulets into her dolls and give them to the guard (Dante) so Zane could listen in on their meetings. but she ends up coming clean in the end and refusing to help Zane anymore) anyways BECAUSE of these factors and Dante's closeness with both of his perspective baby mamas combined with the fact that there is NO WAY Dante had any sex ed experience. Dimitri is born earlier than he is in the series. but not before Nicole realizes she's a lesbian and amicably breaks things off with Dante, staying friends (they're roommates for awhile). Dante and KC start dating and its through hanging out with Dante and baby Dimitri that she realizes she wants that with Dante asks him how he would feel about having another child. Which, of course, born-to-be-a-girl-dad-Dante is overjoyed about. Dmitri and Nekoette are both younger than they are in the series by the time we meet them. Dmitri being around 4 while Nekoette is about 3.
Alina does exist! sort of! she's not the same character as she was in the series. instead she is Shad and Irene's unnamed daughter who was turned into a relic. I'm actually shocked that plot point got introduced and the ACTUAL girl who was turned into a relic didn't even get a name. I also think it would be interesting if the people who the relics were made out of could speak to their holders and Lilith is the one who ends up with it instead, making Alina still important just in a different way. (shes also older, like 8)
hell yeah its Garrancemau. they get together near the end of season 1 and the series as a whole ends with their wedding.
Aaron does exist, but much in the way Alina does, he's a lot different. he's not shads vessel (that's Laurance), he IS still Liliths dad and he does still die but this time its for good. Aaron is significantly older than Aphmau and their relationship is not a romantic one, its a mentorship. Aaron is the example of someone who married a member of his guard and it worked out (changing Lily to his head guard because what do you MEAN she was the guards daughter) he's an example of exactly what Aphmau most fears, losing everything and it being her fault. he's actually a FANTASTIC parallel to Aphmau because in so many different ways he represents what her future could look like. and then he dies. and she has to cope with her first ever huge loss. and so does Lilith, and everyone else who had grown to like him. (he's less broody and stand-offish and is known better for his wisdom and advice) and he doesn't come back. we have to cope with that loss the same way aphmau does and find a way to move on without him. while she tries to remember everything he taught her. (also instead of the amulet blowing his town up it transforms him into the ultima and he goes on a mindless killing spree. that's way more blood-on-your-hands than accidently blowing everyone up.) I have more i could say about him but this section is already too long.
I'm happy to go more in-depth on any of this if you're interested! me and my sister have put A LOT of thought into this as we've been watching it together so if you want me to elaborate on anything PLEASE ask.

i love your recent post including the dnd classifications for the mcd guys. HOWEVER. i know nothing about dnd. mainly i’m curious about your thoughts behind the strike through over “champion” for laurance? i’m super interested in the lore
Yeah! So, Laurances class is fighter, and champion and eldritch knight are both different fighter subclasses. Laurance USED to be a champion when he was head guard of meteli but his subclass was changed to an eldritch knight when he was turned into a shadow knight
(My original idea was for Laurence to be a paladin who became an oathbreaker after turning, but that's Gene. Also, being a paladin would imply that there's any honor there. Laurance fights with the desperate tenacity of an animal that refuses to die.)

Inmate #227: D. Malfoy. High Risk. 24-hour guard. No visitors.
Don’t interact with the inmate. That was one of the first things she’d been told during training. She was to stand guard, silent and alert. She was not to engage.

“What the fuck did you do that for?” Harry Potter spat. He was angrier than she’d ever seen him in the papers.
He wasn’t a visitor. He was here on ‘official Auror business.’
Malfoy lay in his cot, staring at the ceiling. He’d been that way since he’d arrived, straight from his trial. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.”
“Don’t play dumb. I was there!” The wards stretching between them shuddered.
“I’m not sure why you’re asking me about it, then.”
“I want to know why. We had a plan. You didn’t just stray from it, you blew it up. With wandless fucking magic!”
Malfoy sat up, turned. “They insulted her! You know how I—I couldn’t control it.”
“They’re gonna use this to jack up your sentence. All that work we did—”

Malfoy’s sentencing hearing lasted no more than 15 minutes. Two Aurors escorted him back to his cell. Harry Potter, pale and unsteady, wasn’t far behind.
“Draco, I—”
“Twenty years,” Malfoy said. His voice shook.
“It’s okay, I’m going to fix this. I’m gonna get Hermione and I—we’re gonna fix this.”
Malfoy laughed. “You’re an idiot, Potter.”

Harry Potter visited every few weeks. Today, he vibrated with fevered enthusiasm. She watched his steps as he paced in front of the cell.
“There’s heaps of evidence of corruption, not just in the Wizengamot. With the right angle, Hermione thinks we can build a really strong case. Maybe—Draco, are you listening to me?”
“No.”

“No luck?” Malfoy was leaning against the wall, picking his nails. He seemed unconcerned, but she knew better. He’d paced in his cell right up to the minute Harry had stepped through the door.
“I don't know why you're so smug about it.”
“Even the Boy Who Lived can't save the poor teenage Death Eater.”
Harry ran the toe of his boot along the stone floor.
“Twenty years Draco. I'm not sure I can—”
“I'm not asking you to.”

“I dreamt about that night on the rooftop, when we—”
“Oh.” A small private smile flickered across Harry’s face.
She started to wonder if it really was Auror business he was here for.
“I think you should stop coming by, Harry.”

It had been a few months, but Harry came back. It seemed he couldn’t keep away.
Draco’s voice was sharp. “What are you doing here, I told them I didn't want—”
“I paid off the guards.”
A scoff. “Of course.”
Harry stepped closer to the barrier. “You look—have you been sleeping?”
Draco laughed, shifting his gaze to her as if they shared an inside joke.

“They agreed to a hearing,” Harry exclaimed.
She hadn’t seen Draco get out of his cot for 72 hours. Today was no exception.
“Well, aren't you pleased?” Harry prompted.
“I have no feelings about it one way or another.”

“I saw Mother last night.” Draco’s eyes were puffy. Her colleague had said he’d been crying all night.
“Oh.”
“This place, Harry. I need to get out.”
Harry tugged his maroon robes.
“I'm so sorry. They upheld the decision.”
Draco put his head in his hands.

“I saw Mother again. He was there, too.”
“I'm sorry. Let's talk about something happy.”
“Happy?”
“Christmas. At The Manor? You remember, we tried to make gingerbread?”
A soft chuckle, “Oh yes, that was…”

“I can’t stop the dreams. I could never—the only time they stopped was when we—”
“I know,” Harry rested his forehead against the barrier. “Gods, I wish I could hold you.”
The dementors were gone, but the infection they’d left behind was vicious. She wondered if she should log an incident report. Nightmares were an early sign.

Draco had been pacing and muttering for hours before Harry arrived.
“Draco.”
“I’ve still got that twelve inch charms essay to finish.”
“Draco, it’s me. Harry.”
Draco kept pacing.
“Will you look at me?”
Draco did. “I miss you.”

“Mother visited last night,”
“Oh really?”
“She says hello.”
“Well, that’s nice of her.”
—
“Harry, I keep seeing him. I keep—I don’t want to go back there.”
“I know.”
“I’m scared.”
“I know. It’s okay. I’m gonna fix this.”
She felt it was rather unfair of Harry to give him false hope.

“We’re going to keep trying, I’m not giving up.”
“It’s okay, Harry.”
A strangled sound. “No. Don’t—”
“At least we got those months. That’s more than I ever…” Draco pressed a hand against the barrier, and the gesture seemed like a declaration.
“Don’t,” Harry whispered, a plea.

“I wish we’d had more time,” Harry said.
Draco laughed.
“Draco, what are you—”
“They took away my bedframe. I have no sheets.” He kept laughing.
—
Draco’s hair was matted. He’s been refusing to shower.
“Potter, what are you doing? You can't be here.”
“Draco—”
“He’ll be here any second. My Aunt, she called him—”
“We’re not at—”
“No! Harry, you have to get out. You have to win. Please. Go.”
“Okay, Draco. I’ll go.”
Harry hadn’t let her see him cry, until then.

“Harry.” Draco sat pressed right up against Harry, touching, if not for the magic weaved between them. “I’m not sure I can keep doing this.”
“I know.” Harry’s voice was small, kind. “I won’t ask you to.”
“In a different life, do you think—” Draco’s face crumpled. She had to look away.
Harry rubbed his eyes repeatedly. “Yes, love. In any life.”

He wasn’t a next-of-kin, nor a registered visitor, so he hadn't been notified.
He arrived as usual, glasses askew.
She hadn’t been trained for this.
“Mr. Potter.”
“Where is he? Have you moved him?”
She shook her head. “I’m sorry.”
His green eyes dulled as he collapsed onto the floor. She wondered then, as the hero’s sobs rent the air, who this place punished more.
Imagine you live in a tiny coast town in idk fucking Georgia or something. Everything is fine and dandy but one day King Charles and the Pope publicly declare war on your town because the pope told him your mayor kidnapped Prince William. Then, you remember that one guy Will who showed up like four months ago and is pretty quiet and keeps to himself and doesn't do much besides sit in the fields all day. Everyone starts searching for him to get King Charles off your backs only to realize he has completely disappeared.
This also does absolutely nothing to explain why the Pope is backing King Charles, UNTIL you remember your Mayor's DA is actually the Pope's BROTHER who ran away because he didn't want to marry some random royal person he didn't know. Little do you know, that the rando royal is actually Prince William, who has been kidnapped for real this time- by the pope- but is being held in an underground bunker in the okefenokee swamp.
Anyways, you're trying to figure how the fuck your town of maybe 300-ish people is going to fight the british navy and fucking spanish inquisition. The mayor, handling this remarkably well, makes two phone calls. The first to the Mayor of Washington DC, who is lending you the national guard since your mayor saved him while he was being held captive by an anarchist terrorist group one time. The second is the governor of Louisiana, who agrees to lend some humanitarian aid because your mayor walked his daughter home after she got lost on a chicken farm once. Then, the pope decides to pillage and raze the fuck out of Louisiana, partly because they were offering to lend aid, but mostly because the pope knows the governor's son is your mayor's side piece.
Now, your tiny town is full of the national guard and 20,000 cajuns that are simply itching to terrorize some monarchists. Also that bishop that you were pretty sure was just spying on your town comes in and denounces the pope and offers to fight for your mayor. Lastly, your mayor meets King Charles and the Pope at the town limits, and the mayor, ever wanting peace, offers to marry the pope, who takes a confusingly long time to say no.
Then the battle happens and your army of the national guard and 20,000 cajuns absolutely rock their shit before things start to turn for the worse and just when all seems lost Prince William shows up and absolutely decks King Charles in the face, throwing such a legendary haymaker hard enough to be heard throughout the whole battle, ending the fighting instantly.
The Battle of Phoenix Drop was fucking wild.
