This is so true
Word count: 1609
Warnings: Suicidal thoughts.
Character: Megumi Fushiguro, Jujutsu Kaisen
Summary: You go to the arcade on your own to clear your head from all the negative thoughts that had been pestering you. Once you step inside you immediately feel at ease, you look around for a game to play, but your eye falls on someone you know very well..
Lately you haven't been feeling all too well. Being so alone all the time, hating yourself and your body image were all making you feel like this world was just not meant for you. It had taken you days to gather up some courage to finally go outside again. All day long you were snuggled up in your blankets, your focus mainly being to distract yourself by going onto social media.
But today you were determined to lift your spirits and get the 'old you' back. And that is why you were standing right in front of the arcade right now. As a teen you would always run straight to the arcade after school. It did affect your grades, just a bit, but you will never forget all the happy memories you made there with your childhood friends. Megumi was one of them.
He looked like a reserved person, someone who prefers being alone, but back then that was different. Megumi did tend to be a bit of a stubborn kid. Even though he was small and young, he didn't hesitate to beat someone into a pulp.
A slight smile pulled on your lips as all the memories came flooding back. With a bit of effort you managed to push the door open, your eyes going back and forth to look at all the game machines. The sound of people winning loads of tickets and others grunting because of frustration was something you had missed, surprisingly, since you preferred some peace and quiet around you.
Your finger tapped gently onto your chin as you thought long and hard about what game you were going to play. It didn't take you long to come up with one, a favourite of course.
As you were about to make your way to the machine, your eyes landed on a boy far in the distance with spiky, raven hair. You furrowed your brows for a moment, focusing your gaze on the boy to see if it actually was him.
You knew without a shadow of doubt..
Megumi Fushiguro.
Your heart pounded like a crazy animal once you realised. As much as you wanted to go play your game, you didn't want to pass on an opportunity to catch up with Fushiguro. He was your childhood friend and the two of you were still very close, despite not being able to see and talk to each other as much.
You sheepishly smiled as you asked politely to a few people here and there if they could make some room for you to pass. And, before stepping up to Megumi, you took a deep breath and tapped his shoulder gently.
The boy turned his head, his expression being as vague as ever. You couldn't make out whether or not he was happy to see you.
''Oh, Y/N. I didn't expect seeing you here again. Did you know I was here?'' Megumi questioned, pausing his game to give all his attention to you, ''N-No! I just came here to... clear my head and cheer myself up. But it's nothing you should worry about!'' You exclaimed, trying to not make yourself to suspicious.
''Hm, have you been busy lately?'' Megumi asked as a soft hue starting forming on his cheeks. You knew he was not the best with other people's emotions, so you didn't bother him with it any further.
''A bit, work has been chaotic lately because of a shortage on employees.'' You sighed, rubbing your neck as you could still feel the strain of working overtime so many days.
''...What about you?''
''Nothing different.''
You simply nodded, feeling a bit of tension rise whenever there fell a silence. Megumi just stood there for a moment, you could sense he was a bit nervous. Could it be because you haven't seen him in a while? Or is he just very tense in crowded places?
As much as you'd like to know, there was no way Fushiguro would open up about his feelings to anyone.
''Hey.. let's go play some games together if you want?'' You mumbled softly, nervously waiting for an answer. Megumi nodded and gestured you to follow you to another arcade game. You held your breath as you followed the raven-haired boy, his pace was pretty quick. It was as if he was excited to play with someone else since, as far as you knew, Megumi never went here with anyone else.
He turned around, a soft smile plastered on his face. ''Want to play this game? It seems like a fun game to play together.'' Megumi suggested, holding one of the hammers, belonging to the Whack a Mole game. You took it from his hands, your fingers brushing on his hand, your cheeks heating up. You were easily flustered.
You played a few rounds with him, both of you getting pretty competitive as the time flew by. A few chuckles could be heard from Megumi who seemed to be completely comsumed by playing the game. You hit the last mole and the scores lit up in red on the screen in front of you. You balled your hands into a fist and celebrated your victory. Megumi patted your back and smiled, ''You were pretty good. I think we should do this again sometime.'' He said, the soft hue just barely visible on his cheeks again.
''Definitely! I really enjoyed spending time with you, Megumi."
''So did I..''
You heard the words echo in your head over again and again. You couldn't believe what you just heard. You could feel your legs getting weaker, it felt like they turned into jelly. You had given up the thought of ever getting together with Fushiguro, but right now, even the impossible seemed possible.
''I'm glad. It's pretty late already though.. I don't want to be alone in the dark.'' You cleared your throat, feeling emberassed about the fact that you just admitted to Megumi that you're scared of the dark.
''I'll walk you home. Let's go.'' Megumi said, reaching out his hand, waiting for you to put yours into his. That was exactly what you did, and then, you felt his grip tighten on your hand. You felt safe when you were around him, and especially now that he held your hand so lovingly.
During the entire walk, the two of you talked about memories from when you were younger. You remember Megumi coming to you whenever he was hurt from picking fights again. You were always a caring and kind person. Many people came to you from time to time, but Megumi would come to you regardless of how serious his injuries were. He could really be himself around you.
You laughed at a comment Megumi made as you made your way up the steps to the door of your place. His hand slowly slipped out of yours as you rummaged through your pockets to get the keys out of them. When you finally managed to get them out you looked him into the eyes, feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
''Megumi.. I really enjoy myself whenever I'm around you. Lately I've been trying to find the right words to say this.. But, I love you. I always did. I can't think straight whenever we're together. I couldn't seem to wipe this bright smile off of my face when you held my hand so tenderly.'' You confessed, your breath speeding up when you noticed he fell silent.
Fushiguro looked down at the floor, unable to make eye contact with you right now. You would understand if he wasn't going to say anything, ''You don't have to say anything, but I just wanted to let you know. So, please don't think any differently of me now.''
Before you could even blink you were pulled against Megumi. His arms were wrapped around you, not too tight and not too gentle, but just enough to make it feel like an angel's wings were protecting you from harm.
''You're the only one who has genuinely made me feel happy, Y/N. You showed me what it felt like to be loved and how to love others..''
You felt him relax into your embrace. It must have been such a big relief for him to finally confess to you.
A few tears rolled down your cheeks, the little droplets creating two wet spots on Megumi's sweater. You were a mess. Every day you felt worthless and that the world would be better off without you. Every thought that went through your mind told you to just end it all, but Megumi changed that. He was your reason. Your reason to stay.
''I could tell from the look on your face that you haven't been feeling great lately. I know how hard it is.. Please, if you've thought about. Stay.. Stay for me. Without you I wouldn't have been where I am today.'' He muttered, finally lifting his head from your shoulder to gaze into your eyes, tears still brimming and making its way down your cheeks. Megumi put his thumbs on your cheeks, wiping your tears away as he then put his head against yours.
His face inched closer to yours, he pressed a quick kiss against your lips. An electric shock gushed down your entire body.
''Be mine, Y/N.''
You passionately kissed him as well, lunging your body towards Megumi, just to find yourself in another hug.
The rest of the night you spend together with him. His body was pressed against your back, the touch comforting you and making you feel completely at ease. Your eyes slowly fluttered close as you both fell asleep cuddled close to one another.
@xiaosprettygf for you my darl
It had been two years.
Two years since the wedding, two years since you’d seen either Rina or Megumi. Two years since your heart shattered, and the box you put your shattered heart in had shattered, and the pieces all run through a Shattering Machine of the very best kind. Today, while you shuffled to your mailbox in your outdoor slippers, sipping on a travel mug of chamomile tea (although you weren’t planning on going anywhere), the rain pattered softly on the glass window panes. You felt happy. Happy is an interesting word. It was a mood, temporary, yes, but lately that happiness had crept up on your life and insisted on moving in. You had just started med school, not usually known for inspiring happiness, but you felt productive, proud of where you’d gotten yourself. You made a new friend, a peppy, excited girl named Aika. Her favorite color was yellow, and recently, after moving in with you, your apartment had brightened considerably. Music was always filling the then-depressing silence, a cream yellow speaker in the shape of a sleeping cat mumbling out soft cello or bursting with the latest pop. You went to get the mail for the both of you, reaching into the mailbox and pulling out the usual assortment of junk mail and advertisements. And a pastel green envelope, with perfectly printed handwriting that you knew oh so well. Your eyes prickle immediately, and you blink them away. You were strong. You were independent. Yet you knew who had written that envelope. You remembered the way Rina dotted her i’s and crossed her t’s and f’s. Running your finger over the slightly indented print, you breathed in deeply and tried to think of what to do. Returning to your apartment, you tucked the envelope into the junk drawer and tried to forget. This particular sunday afternoon, you had no plans. Putting on another one of Aika’s new pop playlists, you put on a bright yellow apron and started to make red velvet cupcakes, your’s and Aika’s favorite, in an attempt to distract yourself. When the cupcakes were in the oven, you sat down on the couch. Then, getting up, you went to the drawer, then before touching the handle, turned back to sit down, and a couple steps away from the couch, turned back again.
“You’re pathetic,” came an amused voice from the doorway. Aika was standing there, in all her bucked hatted glory, eyebrows raised. “I’ve been here for two minutes watching you cosplay a tug-of-war rope.” She went to the drawer and pulled out the envelope, her eyes twinkling. Then she read the return address and frowned. “Oh.” Then, after a pause. “You want me to read it for you?” You nodded, and watched as she carefully slid a nail under the flap of the envelope. Her eyebrows knit, her face scrunching together more and more as her eyes moved down the letter. “Oh.” She said again, “Oh.”
“What is it Aika?”
“We, Megumi and Rina Fushiguro, humbly invite you, Y/N, to our baby shower!” Aika began monotonously, “this Saturday at 4, at our home. Please RSVP and you will receive the address in an email! Dinner and drinks provided, presents appreciated. We hope to see you there!”
She looked up at you, gauging your reaction. Remember that shattering machine? It had come back, and it had just crushed those seemingly-unable-to-be-crushed-further pieces of your heart double time into microscopic dust.
“Y/N/N,” Aika started, but you cut her off.
“Don’t worry about me, I’m ok. It’s been years, I’m over it already,” you took a deep breath. “Really,” you added, seeing Aika’s unimpressed look. “I’ll get packing.”
If only you weren’t pretending.
to pretend: to make as if; to put on an act.
megumi angst - the extra heart shattering kind
warnings: none i think, just a wedding and a sad sad reader
“y/n?”
megumis eyes gaze adoringly into yours and his voice is clear in the silent barn, decorated heavily with blue flowers and white ribbons. since you were kids this barn was a haven for you, set on the bank of a softly flowing river, amplifying the shrieks of joy from you and megumi as you caught the slippery toads that slept in the corners or took turns reading long and exciting fantasy books to each other, acting out the scenes with thick twigs you’d found on the barn floor as wooden swords, stubby arms haphazardly swinging the sharp branches in each other’s faces. and now, it was housing a wedding, a wedding that you and megumi and your best friend rina had been planning for months. every detail from the thick soft napkins to the tablecloths draped over the long tables horizontally lined up on either side of the barn, making way for an aisle in the center. but it was all wrong.
“i’m not so sure about this gumi” you mumble to him, but rina steps forward confidently and takes your hands in hers.
“y/n, there is no one, no one, i would be more honored to have as a best friend,” her hands squeeze yours softly, emphasizing her words, “…and no one i would be more honored to have speak at my wedding.”
“my wedding”
you grimace at her words, but this is her day, her and megumis day, and you’d be dammed if anyone ruined the wedding of the two people you loved the most, even if that person was you. so you step up to the microphone and take it shakily in your hands. you make eye contact with megumi one more time, and you see his eyes sparkle with unshed tears as his hand reaches for rinas, who smiles genuinely and lovingly at you. you clear your throat, and begin the story that will today join the two in front of you together, as husband and wife, and forever tear you apart.
“when i first met rina,” you begin…
“me-gu-mi!” you whine, pulling at his sleeve,“you can’t be this antisocial forever, what if i die? then you’ll have no friends,” you state bluntly.
“but i don’t need other friends.” megumi pouts, trying to withstand the power of your twelve year old arms threatening to rip his sweatshirt apart. “why do we hafta go hang out with her?”
“because i wanna and because i said so,” you say stubbornly, and drag him over to the empty lunch table, save for a dark haired girl with her hair tied up with a red hair tie , “we’ll be like the three musketeers!”
the girl notices you and the grumpy megumi behind you , and her face lights up into a smile. “hi,” she says shyly, looking up at you, “wanna sit?”
“of course!” you say, letting go of megumis sleeve and eagerly slide into the seat next to her. “i’m y/n, and this is megumi,” you add, pointing to the dark haired boy occupying the seat next to you, “wanna be friends?”. the girl nods again, pointing at herself, “i’m rina” she introduces with a smile.
“…i think originally rina and megumi were,” you pause, thinking of the right word because you hadn’t practiced beforehand, hadn’t even had a draft because while you were able to force yourself to help with everything else, drowning in the work to forget who it was for, you couldn’t bring yourself to relive these moments any longer than you had to. “…weary of each other”, you continue, which earns a few chuckles from the audience.
“is that your brother?” rina whispers to you when megumi goes to throw out his trash, taking yours with him as well like he’s been doing since elementary, but leaving rinas with a glare that he knows will earn a pinch later on.
“no, silly,” you giggle,”he’s just my friend.”
“oh,” rina says, “i don’t think he likes me that much.”
“megumi just isn’t good with new people,” you reassure her, “i’m sure he’ll warm up to you.”
“…but it was as if a magnetic force drew them together,” you paused, the physical hurt of saying these words numbing your mind, “they couldn’t stay away from each other if they wanted.”
“gums i can’t make it to the library,” your voice is lined with annoyance and disappointment, clear even through the phone, “you and rina’ll just have to stay without me.” megumi hmphs from the other end but reluctantly agrees to stay for your sake, you want them to be friends, you were tired of the tension between them during those lunches, and you’d grown close to rina, you wanted her to stay, and that meant megumi had to accept her as well. but accept was a pathetic word to describe what came next. first it was subtle. your phone pinged and you looked down to find a text from megumi. “me and rina are going to that bakery downtown, wanna come?” you frowned, when did they make those plans? maybe at the library, maybe they exchanged numbers? but you shrugged it off, happy your two best friends were able to get along this well. then it sped up. you’d gone out shopping with your mom for birthday presents for your brother, and walking into a candy shop you saw megumi, pointing at different jars of candy next to a blushing and excited rina, who was doing the same. why were they here without you? it’s not that you wanted to control the friendship, but you were the three musketeers, the inseparables, yet you’d known nothing about this plan. so you slipped out and pushed it to the back of your mind.
“…and soon enough the inevitable happened,” you continue, and you see megumi wink at rina and a couple guests laugh at the exchange, “they fell in love. why wouldn’t they? they were p-perfect for each other.”
“y/n? can i talk to you?” rina says meekly, not quite meeting your eyes.
“of course rina! what’s up?” you ask, although some dark angry part of you already knows what she’s about to say. the same thing that megumi had said to you two weeks ago, sitting on your bedroom floor, fiddling with his fingers and pleading you not to be upset. “y/n i like someone,” he’d started, “she’s pretty and she’s smart and she’s everything i’ve ever dreamed of.” your heart races, you’ve liked megumi too, for the longest time, ever since that day he’d given you his umbrella and walked through the pouring rain with you to make sure you got to your house even though it was in the opposite direction of his. “she’s so caring and i’ve just realized how much more she means to me then a friend after all our years together. you nod shyly to megumi, and reach out to grab his hand, but he lifts it up and runs it through his hair. “so?” he asks you, “does rina like me back?”
“y/n?” you hear rina say, and you realize you’ve zoned out for most of her confession, too lost in the one megumi made about her. “does gumi like me back?”
“w-ahat? oh yes, yes he does!” you feign excitement, and push her out the door, “you should go find him! confess, it’ll go well i promise, he’s liked you for a while too.” and when she leaves you close the door and collapse, all hopes of megumi gone and down the gutter. even worse, you were all still friends, this was a relationship you would have to support, you didn’t hate either of them for it, you knew they were both exceptional people and you were happy for them, but at what expense?
”which brings us to now, this couple standing before you, two of the sweetest, most compassionate and kind people, and my two best friends, who are about to be wedded and deserve all the happiness in the world. i know how much you love each other, i can see it in your actions, the way he pulls out chairs for you rina, and cares for you even when you don’t want to care for yourself”, you say, remembering the time you’d spent hours packing and planning for a day at the museum together but megumi had texted you asking you to make up a reason to cancel because rina was on her period but too stubborn to cancel herself, “and the way she calms you and makes you happy, lights up the light in your eyes and warms your heart megumi,” you say, recalling the time megumi had broken his arm and you’d been there first since you were closer, him wincing when you hugged him and giving short tired answers to your questions, but lighting up when tina ran through the doors, seeing her eyes light up and look past you to him had hurt , seeing them hug and megumi not flinching once had hurt too. “i hope that you will forever be happiest together, and that the future holds nothing but good for you two.” a future i’m not in you think. “thank you.” you say and the tears flow as you step down from the stage and celebrate the joining of the man you love most with the woman you consider a sister. but your tears are hidden in plain sight, sheer overwhelming emotion, an outpouring of happiness it looks like to onlookers. but it is only the opposite. you slip away for the vows, you don’t think you’re strong enough for that after the speech you’ve just given, and eventually megumi finds you, sitting on the curving stairs leading up to the loft, crying softly.
“you ok y/n/n?” he asks softly, his thumb grazing your cheek as he wipes a tear away, but the action no longer flutters your heart, the heart in question too broken beyond repair it seemed, to ever flutter again.
“i’m fine gumi, i’m fine.”
if only you weren’t pretending.
pairing: best friend!megumi x gn!reader
warnings: mentions of alcohol, nothing else i think but please lmk if you find something
megumi doesn’t drink, of course, he’s too smart for that. because when megumi drinks, images of you that usually he keeps at bay flood his mind. you, skipping down the little dirt road in the park, occasionally bending down to pick the tiny strawberries that line the overgrown path. it’s you that megumi sees, bravely making conversation with complete strangers and petting their dogs and shaking their hands and megumi just doesn’t know how you do it. megumi enjoys his apathic reputation, he doesn’t care, why should he? but lately you’ve been making him overthink. when you ruffle his hair his usual scowl is usually accompanied by a blush that megumi quickly hides by turning away and pretending to fix up his hair. this mornings worries consist of how to ask you to go to that new restaurant that just opened up in town, without it sounding too much like a date. when he finally pressed send, he cringes at how long it took him to write such a simple message. your reply comes quickly, made known by a soft ping that megumi knows means it’s you because everyone else is set on vibrate only.
sorry gums not tonight, i’ve got plans :p, let’s plan for tomorrow
megumi tries to seem unaffected, though truthfully he hasn’t seen you for a week now since you’ve been studying for your med exam, and he misses you
k. he sends, then winces at how low that sounds, he knows gojo wouldn’t approve. deciding to go on a walk, megumi puts on his jacket and wraps a scarf that you’d bought him at one of the little boutiques in town around his neck. walking around the park that he usually accompanies you to, megumis heart drops into his stomach as his brain processes the scene before his eyes.
two figures are walking in the park, the setting sun casting warm light against their red cheeks. one of the two, tall, taller than he is megumi notes, with dark hair that seems to style itself effortlessly, is saying something animatedly to the other, who slaps him on the head. he immediately recognizes the latter, because it’s you. so these are what your plans were, or more specifically, these are who your plans were. megumis brain immediately begins to compare himself with your new companion, the way his cheekbones sit on his angular face, the way his hands gesture, and most sickeningly, the way he makes you laugh. has he ever made you laugh like that? has he ever laughed like that himself? megumi looks away and heads home, his hands shoved so deep in his pockets he hopes he isn’t pulling his pants down, turning from the scene that he’s sure will be running through his head for the rest of the night. he brushes away an invitation from yuuji for a pizza night, opting to sit in his dark room, periodically glancing at his phone and trying to force the images of you and someone else out of his mind. megumis phone dings again softly, and he is greeted with a picture of you and your companion at a restaurant, squinting at the banner behind you megumi realizes with a sigh that you’ve brought your date, me go mi supposes, to the new restaurant, the one that he asked you to. which brings him to now, sitting in front of the bar, drinking something that the bartender promised was strong. and it is, megumi doesn’t know how long he’s been there, minutes? hours? all he knows is he wants to see you, so his fingers sloppily swipe through his phone until he reaches your contact, pressing it with no second thoughts.
“gumi?” your voice spills out of the speaker and megumi smiles, letting out a little giggle, “gumi are you drunk?”
“nOoOOoO…” megumi stubbornly says, before whispering, “yes, but don’t tell y/n”
“gumi i am y/n” you say exasperatedly, “i’m coming to get you, don’t move.”
megumi stays as still as possible, keeping his eyes open until he inevitably blinks. when your car pulls up, megumi sees you walk quickly up to the door, brushing away a middle aged man that comes up to you doing his best smolder, scanning the room until you see megumi sitting there. megumi wonders how you can be so beautiful and how your eyes are so pretty and how your hair sits perfectly on your head and how nice you look.
“megumi stand up let’s go,” you drag him up from the stool, “a picture will last longer” you add with a wink.
“but you told me not to move?” megumi giggles again, but he’s dragged out of the bar regardless and stuffed into your car.
the ride is silent sans the wind blowing through your open windows and the occasional hiccup from a snoring megumi. the silence is broken however, when you hear the sound of the mirror on the sun shield in your car being opened.
“megumi?” you ask, wondering what in the world could be prompting him to check himself out at this moment. “whatcha doin?”
“figurin’ somethin’ *hic* out” megumi mumbles in reply.
“what?”
“why ‘m not good enough for ya.” megumis voice takes on a pouty tone.
“what? megumi what do you mean?” you wonder because though you know about megumis insecurities he’s always known he’s been enough for you.
“why’d you hafta find that *hic* guy,” megumi continues, “the one you were at the park with *hic* and at the restaurant that i asked you to” this last part is spoken accusingly.
“gums im sorry but we were hungry and it was the closest restaurant, it was really good, we should go sometime too, but you can’t be upset over that?”
“of course i am,” megumi sounds exasperated, “i don’t want some random guy with you all the time, makin’ you laugh and stuff,” he grumbles.
you fight to hide the smirk covering your face, “oh yeah? and why’s that gums?”
“because i love you?!” megumi shoots, and then immediately slaps his hand over his mouth, the alcohol in his system making his eyes open wide like in the comics.
”what did you say?” you ask quietly
and megumis heart speeds up and he’s sure it’s broken the sound barrier
what did he just say
he just told you he loved you
he sits, deathly still, as your car continues down the road
what did he just do
”megumi” your voice cuts through the silence like a knife through the silky tofu you two prepare together for your lazy sunday morning miso soup
”i just didn’t want you to regret…anything” you continue, your voice softer, “i don’t want you to make a mistake.”
megumi thinks this over in his head
does that mean you like him back
what about the guy
what were you doing with him
”we can talk about this more when you’re sober gums” you sigh
megumi looks up to see that you’ve arrived at his house
you open the door with a spare key that megumi had given you and with that the rest of the night goes by in a blur
he briefly remembers you urging him to brush his teeth and you kissing his forehead goodnight
which brings megumi to now, with the morning sun fighting to push through his tightly closed blinds and his head filling with memories of last night
he bangs out of bed, he can’t lose you, he knows he will after what he pulled last night, but he can’t he can’t lose you
changing into his black pants and foregoing a top he starts for the doorknob but it twists open before he can reach it
your smiling but worried face stares back at him
“good morning gumi, i hope you don’t mind i slept here last-oof” you begin but megumis wrapped his arms around you
just as quickly he recoils
“i’m sorry about last night” he says monotonously, his eyes looking anywhere but you, settling on the carpeted floor
you sigh, unwilling to tackle such a heavy subject so early in the morning, but doing so anyways.
“did you mean it?”
megumi feels his chin being lifted by your hands, forcing him to look you in the eye
he stutters, rubbing his hands together nervously
”yes-i mean n-no well yes of course but i’m sure you don’t-i mean” he pushes your hand away and looks back down at the floor “forget it. i want you to be happy, i’m sorry i told you, i’m glad you found someone.”
he notices how you look away and with that he awaits your inevitable rejection, for you to agree with him that while he’s great he’s just not it, just not who you’re looking for, that being megumi is just not enough.
instead, he’s greeted with the feel of your incredibly soft lips, how are they so soft megumi wonders but he’s not surprised, it’s exactly how he imagined them. your hands go up to his hair and all his dreams are suddenly coming true
you pull back smiling and flick his forehead “i am happy gumi, here, with you.”
megumis heart rate slows and speeds up simultaneously
you like him back.
you’re not leaving.
you like him back
“oh and gumi? that guy you saw me with is my cousin makino.”
you smile at his blush and the smile that he can’t keep off his face
he glares at you, “coulda told me sooner,” he grumbles, “would have saved me from this hangover.”
you laugh and drag him back to the bed, snuggling into the blankets and megumi cautiously wraps his arms around your middle, searching your face for approval but your eyes are already closed, your nose nuzzling at his bare chest and your leg wrapped around his.
“don’t worry, i love you too, dummy”
