New Idea for May!
Oh my gosh! I just had an amazing idea! What if, I spend time working on a big project for next May? Not right now but just sporadically through out my time. I could make a story for each day of May! The stories would be about Merfolk for MerMay!!!

I’ve been obsessed with that pirate AU as of late and came up with an entire lore for it that I’ve been dying to talk about! Let’s start with this peculiar merfolk creature who the seafarers call Ignacio, in honor of the fire and destruction he wreaks in the name of the feared Salamanca pirates.
Hearsay has it his love for gold cost Ignacio his heart, but that’s probably just yarn spun by bored old sailors.

Lion fish merman commission! Man this boy is detailed! I am always shocked by how long lion fish take to draw every time I try, they are a lot trickier to draw than you might think at first. If you’re looking for a challenge, lion fish are the way to go.
I just love the colors and details this client chose, I adore the freckles and those piercing eyes. The hairstyle they chose was definately fun to draw, especially being a merman, it gives me the opportunity to draw flowing hair that adds a lot of dynamic motion to the piece.

Any ideas why a merman would be enemies with a human during an apocalypse? I’m trying (and failing) to write an enemies to lovers but I can’t figure out why they are enemies!
