Look at the emotionally constipated old man and his anxiety ridden sidekick go
This is something that's been bothering me for a while so I'm gonna post a rant about it. So male abuse victims aren't really shown in the media, I can only think of like 2 that were shown well, which is Hunter from the Owl House and Bojack Horseman from, well, Bojack Horseman. Now I don't watch a lot of TV, but that's still a little in comparison to the female abuse victims I know that were portrayed well. Diane, Adora, Amity (You could agrue that her parents aren't abusive but they do seem emotionally neglectful and that is a form of abuse sooo) Etc., etc., you get the point.
And now we've got Morty, a male abuse victim, and the show just completely ignores his trauma! And it makes me upset! They have this golden opportunity to show a male abuse victim and the effects the abuse has on him, especially since we already see the low self image he has curtesy of Rick, and that he has repressed rage towards Rick, but that's just about all we get. We never see anything more. And it's upsetting, ik the show isn't over yet, they still have 3 more seasons, but I'm just starting to worry. While I love Morty as is, he has so much untapped potential that, if it was unleashed, it would make me love him even more. I just really hope they use Morty more, but I'm scared that they won't explore his trauma because (Credits to @hazelnut-u-out for pointing this out) it would make Rick less sympathetic, since it would be hard to sympathize with an abuser with the effects of their victims being shown, although I would agree Rick could still remain sympathetic since Bojack is sympathetic to many people despite the effects of his horrible actions being shown, I don't sympathize with him but that's for personal reasons.
I just really hope they care less about making Rick sympathetic and more about giving Morty the attention that he deserves and giving our boy justice. What do y'all think?

So like, Rick doesn't respect time travel and it more or less seems to be the same for all Ricks across the board. So as time goes on they would all find out stuff about their abandoned/alternate families organically, and imagine our Rick (still on his revenge kick) hearing for the first time that a lot of the Beth's are getting pregnant at 17. Then later that they're having baby girls named Summer and marrying the kid that knocked her up.
With memory Rick he says 'Are you one of those Rick's that moves in with abandoned adult Beth?'
Imagine across the central finite curve the Rick's that hear about what's going on, and maybe try to enter Beth's life then, try to help her with the pregnancy and the baby. We see in the show and the comics that there are more or less two kinds of Rick's, the ones that abandon their families and the ones that lost their families, and I have to imagine that some of the later told themselves hey, I can protect my family now, I want to go help Beth.
Granted I don't think things would end well for them, but hey, infinity means everything happens once.
And then as time goes on and the Rick's start hearing about another grandchild, Morty. We know that our Rick visited Morty as a baby, (likely without Beth and Jerry knowing), and imagine the longing to be a part of their life's. But he can't, because anytime a Rick starts to be happy with his family the family dies.
But then news about a Morty's brainwaves blocking out a Ricks breaks, and suddenly even the deadbeats are getting 'involved' with their family again. Rick and Morty, the duo found through infinity. And suddenly it's not so dangerous to be with your family, lots of Rick's are now hanging around, only to use Morty of course. Sure you still have like the Government after you, but they're nothing to worry about really. Having Rick's that don't think your Rick enough off your back though?
Idk this is a long rambling thought that was kinda hard to type out cause I didn't want to make it too long 😅😅😅😅😅😅
