(setting/introduction) It had been about 2 months since the fall of Tantis. In this world, Tech survived the fall and was found during Omega and Crosshairs first escape, said fall had resulted in him losing a leg and needing spinal implants. Now, in their present time, they live on Pabu, their new home dubbed ā€œMarauder #2ā€. Echo still helps Rex with finding their brothers and rebelling against the Empire, but he makes a point to visit when he can. Wrecker helps around at the docks, Tech has taken up on improving the education of the island, Hunter helps with the town's trades and shipments, and Cross has taken up tsunami/weather watching. During Omega’s time stuck on Tantis, Hemlock took an interest in conducting an experiment, one that Omega hardly even remembers and practically forgets altogether. But, it would have an ever-present effect on her life, she just won’t know till it is too late…. Or is it?

_Chapter 1_

Today was a normal average day on Pabu for their family, or as normal as you can get in a household full of ex-military men. They had decided to settle permanently on Pabu after Tantiss. They knew that they couldn’t take any more chances, too many close calls and near deaths had left a sour taste. Now they were safe and living peacefully. Echo still worked with Rex, but he made as much time as he could to be home. It was nearly mid-day, Hunter was running a few errands with Batcher in tow, and Tech and Cross were working outside on a speeder project. Leaving Wrecker as her current company.

ā€œAy ā€˜meg, wanna watch a holo ā€˜fore I leave?ā€ Wrecker offered in his usual loud manner.

Omega had almost forgotten that Wrecker had an appointment for his back, something about a possible damage from overuse? ā€œOh, um, yea sure. What do you have in mind?ā€ she responded timidly as she sat up straighter.

—Time Skip—

About halfway through the holo, Wrecker had to leave or else he’d be late. He pulled Omega in for a quick hug, figuratively squeezing the life out of her.

ā€œBe good will ya? Don’t cause trouble while am gone.ā€ He stated as he set her back on the ground, a joking smile creased his face. His hand came up and ruffled her hair.

ā€œNo promises Wreck, trouble is my middle name.ā€ Omega giggled, a pointed finger raised as if to make her point.

Wrecker's eyes lit up with mock confusion, playing along with her joke ā€œyou have a middle name? Since when?!ā€ He boomed, his face crinkled in amusement.

ā€œI kid, I kid Wreck, I’ll try my best, but no promises. I’ll see you soon Vod.ā€ Omega smiled as Wrecker turned to leave, waving bye as he exited. Omega sat back down on the family couch as she continued to watch the holo.

—Time Skip—

After a bit, Omega reasoned that she should get something to snack on, Hunter wouldn’t be all too happy if she skipped a meal, again. So, she picked herself up and waltzed over to the kitchen. She took stock of what was available and decided on her meal. As she reached into one of the cupboards, nausea bristled in her head, pulling her hand back to smooth out her creased forehead. All too soon, black spots dotted her vision till it took over completely.

how to get rid of nausea (or at least reduce it)

ok y'all so it's almost 1 in the morning and i can't sleep so i figured i might as well make use of my time. these tips are from what have personally worked well for me as a person who's been dealing with ibs and gerd since basically birth. of course these might not work for everyone, this is just what has helped me the most :)

first, make sure you've taken your meds!

sip on some cold water. preferably with ice.

get some cool air. whether that's through a window or just a fan.

drip some cold water onto the veins of your wrist. i know this sounds kinda weird, but my dad said it's a trick he learned in the military to help nausea. it's worked pretty well for me, personally. though the effect is temporary.

sip on some cola or another fizzy pop. carbonation helps you burp, and you honestly might just have some trapped gas. you'd be shocked how just one good, trapped burp makes you feel like you need to projectile vomit. drink in small, frequent amounts, not large gulps(for the love of god don't take large gulps. please). this is honestly one of the best tricks for nausea for me, it helps within minutes or sometimes a bit longer.

sniff some rubbing alcohol. again, kinda weird, but it works pretty well for some reason.

drink some pepto bismol. a life saver honestly.

take some tums. i highly recommend the peppermint flavored ones. tums are usually for acid reflux/gerd, but the peppermint really helps the nausea part for me. that's why i usually get these bc i'm killing two birds w/ one stone lol

sleep at a high elevation. this helps stomach contents from coming back up. there's been many times where i've had to sleep at a 90° angle. get out your pillows and stuffed animals to make one giant mountain if you have to (that's what i do at least).

sleep on your left side. if you really want to sleep on your side, sleeping on the left keeps the stomach contents down the best.

distract yourself. either watching your favorite show, playing a game, or, hell, even working. this might be a bit tricky if the nausea is overwhelming, though.

avoid strong smells. rubbing alcohol is the exception here, but strong smelling things (esp food) has always made my nausea much worse.

avoid spicy/punch-to-the-face type food. eat simple foods like toast, saltine crackers, or applesauce. my personal favorite is dried seaweed (salted)!

sit upright; try not to slouch. sitting upright helps you digest food properly and gets rid of any trapped gas as well.

don't move around a ton. of course, some simple stretching is beneficial, but i'm just suggesting you don't go run for a few miles when you're feeling like shit <3
