According to my headcanon, there were two personifications of Norway in history. The first of them, a viking, disappeared since the XI century and the second personification, medieval Norway, appeared just after the viking. The viking was called Arne and the medieval Norway - Ketil. Their names describes their characters perfectly because Arne means 'an eagle' and Ketil means 'a shield'. Arne always tried to attack first, behaved more aggressive, rushed into the battle but Ketil became calmer as his main aim was to protect and patronize young Iceland. Arne was prone to showing his emotions and changing mood rapidly but he is cruel. Ketil was very tranquil, stingy with emotions and cunning. Modern Norway is a kind of mix of Arne and Ketil. Being called Ketil, he is resolute as the viking and more emotional than medieval Norway. He is loyal to the old beliefs in pegan gods.
