So since Romania is basically in quarantine I started learning norwegian only because I listened once to wardruna. Do any of y’all have any recommendation as to what to use besides duolingo?

Music Shoutout: Bernhoft

Bernhoft or Bern/hoft, sometimes also known by his full name Jarle Bernhoft, is a singer and musician from Norway. He's pretty well-known in his home country and part of Europe, but trust me when I say he really should be worldwide famous. With unique musical sensibilities that is drenched in soul and funk, he's the grooviest white man you'll ever meet and you know it.

If you listen to his recorded songs and albums and think, "Eeeeeh, this guy is pretty good, I guess," wait until you see his live performances. With the help of loop machine, he plays all the instruments himself and magically always sound like he has a full band with him. (Basically, for the Orphan Black crowd, he's virtually the Tatiana Maslany of music ;) ) Honestly, it'd be a gimmick if he weren't so good at it, but he somehow makes it all seem so naturally easy.

He already had 3 irresistible solo albums: Ceramik City Chronicles, Solidarity Breaks (buy), and most recently Islander (buy). Each of them had somewhat different vibes, but equally good. Being a well-rounded musician that he is, of course, the "gimmick" isn't all that he is. If you're interested, he also published live performances that he did with orchestral companion (with album Walk With Me (buy)), and also with actual band (in the double CD, 1:Man 2:Band). All of that showed that yes, there is nothing that he could not do. Oh, and he was also nominated for the Grammy Awards for his album Islander, so there’s that.

So, check him out already!

As a norwegian there are some english words that imo just dont match the vibe for what they are describing.

What do you mean a DECADE is only 10 years, and a century is 100?? I feel like if you're talking about something several decades ago that should be in dinosaur times

And dont get me started on left and right. The word Left is clearly this vibe:

I don't think we as humans appreciate dry and not slippery ground enough. Just being able to put your foot down and TRUSTING it won't move unless you make it.

Anyways, the weather in Norway is being insane, it's wet and icy as fuck, and I slipped on the ice and fell into a puddle on my way to work today...

Yayyy, finally done! This took me ages! (Please dont let it flop😬)

Anyways, this is nyo norway (hetalia) in a bunad. More precisely the east-Telemark bunad. Fun fact : This is actually the same bunad I have, only mine is green not black!

Jes actually eats her rice really salty cause of lack in taste. Huh, what a fun fact. These comics are based of off real people, so some things are over the top and some real reactions. DYLJ..? Cover/character sheets

So I’m thinking of making  a full comic series called: ‘’DYLJ..?’’ I’m planning to do shorts, but also a main story maybe? Or some that are just longer than others? I don’t know, tell me what you think I should do! 

A little bit about the characters:

These are based off of actual people (my friends obviously) so do not attack/harass them for certain traits and such, it’s them, but over the top so it’s not meant to offend anyone and they’re just over exaggerated versions of them. Also Hlynur does not like to have his full name displayed, because he doesn’t like people looking him up. So don’t try to find out! Thank you ^^

There will definitely be more characters in the future or for special pages. Some comics may be based off of actual conversation or just because it fits the personality. Guess we’ll never know ;)
