I made this around.. august last year but i thought i'd better put this here too for the sillies
honestly im still really proud of it lol, love p03 the lameo the silly the goober the flat-faced freak, him and his FLAT FACE WHAT AN IDIOT

4/11/22: Roots
Narrator: Leshy
You: None
We spent so long separated
Nothing in between
Always just so far apart
One would expect us to change
and be far different
but some things really do stay the same
We can't escape our roots
They keep us alive
Giving us water
and grounding us to the same place
But the machine is still different from the tree
We always only had one thing in common
Our roots grow from the same place
and everything else changed
There's one place we came from
and one place we share
our roots will always be there
Request from @kyoshi-with-a-gun: "why P03s game mirrors Leshy's, despite the multitude of directions it could go."
Note: I'll add a bottom section if the poem is based on a request, to confirm that a submitter's request is answered. Otherwise, the poem will be left up to interpretation. (Idea from @modronoid)
bringing this back because @sasaleleselfships suggested "sometimes" by nick lutsko for Leshy and honestly that fits perfect. Leshy is definitely the kind of person to think "well I've got only bad options, so let's at least do it right.", and the large amount of dark metaphors and symbolism would strike his fancy for sure. I think he would sing it to the challenger while trying his hardest to veil it as part of the story. trying his hardest to explain his motives without having to be perfectly honest.
Songs that I assign to each scrybe:
keep in mind that these songs were found through chance, so I have no fricking clue who any of the artists are.
Grimora: Savages by Marina and the diamonds
-song about how humanity will often struggle to do the right thing, and that the easy route is constantly chosen even when it's wrong. perfect song for grimora to sing before deciding that deletion is the better option.
Magnificus: We Don't Have To Die by Sarah Barrios
-song about fearing death, even as you realize it's preordained. I imagine this song playing over the whole of mag's life from trapping the students to being deleted. the softer bit at the end would be mag's afterlife where they get to run a campaign with the other scrybes after so long being the only one without a takeover.
Leshy: ...how do you even BEGIN to describe this guy? Like he is more cryptic then the beasts he captures and you get like 2 minutes of him being honest and then he dies. no song, let me know what you guys think of.
P03: Pity Party by Melanie Martinez
-"they hurt me and they hate me so let's get drastic" is basically the most P03 thing out there. though this song wouldn't be sung when anybody is around, it would definitely play in the background of P03 screaming and going apesh*t.
please tell me what song you would give to Leshy, and if you have an inscryption OC/scrybesona then be free to assign a song to them in the tags!
