4/11/22: Roots
Narrator: Leshy
You: None
We spent so long separated
Nothing in between
Always just so far apart
One would expect us to change
and be far different
but some things really do stay the same
We can't escape our roots
They keep us alive
Giving us water
and grounding us to the same place
But the machine is still different from the tree
We always only had one thing in common
Our roots grow from the same place
and everything else changed
There's one place we came from
and one place we share
our roots will always be there
Request from @kyoshi-with-a-gun: "why P03s game mirrors Leshy's, despite the multitude of directions it could go."
Note: I'll add a bottom section if the poem is based on a request, to confirm that a submitter's request is answered. Otherwise, the poem will be left up to interpretation. (Idea from @modronoid)
3/29/22: Learning through Suffering
Narrator: Magnificus
You: None
One learns with pain
so they must hurt
Torture the students
do they can know
The more pain one feels
the more they know
the more time they spend
without comfort
The smartest one at all
is me, from when
I was created with suffering
already in me
I went through it all
from before I was made
The pain is a part of me
even though it never happened
So they must suffer
as I never did
maybe they can be smarter
like I never could
Idea: Magnificus's treatment of his students.
3/25/22: Join Me
How can they join me
I need them to
be
All of them have worked so hard
and all for
me
How can I let them live on the
same plane as
I
I don't know how
but I know
why
The man with glowing happiness
and optimism great
The cunning ones with trickery
pull double their weight
The fisherman who I could not
have reached here without
I need a way to put them in my story
but how
An honor of a character
A main one
the great
A powerful enemy
about pelt, gold
or bait
I must honor my friends
and my workers
too
They become foreground characters
becoming me for you
Idea: Request from @kyoshi-with-a-gun: "Leshy deciding how to characterize his subordinates as bosses."
