Here's a look down a limited edition hand-cut #altolongboard, pressed into camber with a double kick. It has a solid wood inlay of #yellowheart, #padauk, and #walnut, with #ash on the sides. We prefer making things that last so the natural wood inlay has been reinforced with two layers of incredibly strong (yet light) triaxial fiberglass - the same stuff used in high performance skis and snowboards. #madeinyyc #madebyhand #madewithwood #madetolast
These pieces started 8 feet long, we dimensioned them to 4 feet and placed a single #iphone6case in the middle for scale. Right to left we've got #yellowheart, #wenge, #padauk, #maple, #walnut, and #purpleheart. It's a lot of work dealing with such large pieces of solid wood... but after you see what we've made I think you'll agree the effort is totally worth it!!
